Dr Herman explain the procedures to me and told me everything that he was going to do and he answered all of my questions and after the surgery he gave me his own cell phone number or I can reach him if I had any type of emergency and if I had anything else need it I can call the office and they will see me that same day

Staff was very nice and professional. Dr. Kao, who did my extraction, was very friendly and was so nice to explain the procedure thoroughly. Once Dr. Kao was ready and I was prepared for the extraction, it seemed to go quickly. Overall I felt at ease.

I have been so impressed with all of the staff from the office to the doctors. They are friendly, helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. They asked me for information and clarification and answered my questions and offered proactive solutions. Since I had to have oral surgery, I was so grateful to have it with Facial & Oral Surgery Associates.

Dr. Kao and his staff are superb! I've had implants before but this one was the easiest and least painful. And Dr. Kao's Novocain shot was painless even without that horrid tasting topical anesthesia. Also I was in the room within a minute of my appointment time. All in all highly professional all around. UPDATE: I went to Dr. Kao for a totally different issue. He was such a great help. In spite of having been to the ER a week before and not having slept very well in the interim worrying, I went home and had the best night's sleep in a week. Dr. Kao, who ended up not having to treat me, still carefully, and clearly explained my issue, dug in to help me figure out why it had happened and now I can avoid the problem in the future. That's a super power as far as I'm concerned.

While the staff in the office are nice as well as the doctors the most important thing is how you come out of surgery. I used Dr. Warner for a total joint replacement and unfortunately was worse off after the surgery than before. He was kind and attentive and tried multiple procedures before moving to surgery (steroids, jaw exercises, stem cell, all things i paid for), but after the surgery I was being told to believe that the problem was mental. I was told several times that I just needed to relax and that everything was OK it wasn't until I went to get a second opinion months after being in pain that I was able to prove to him that something wasn't right. I have been in so much pain since the surgery, the shifts in my jaw and the misalignment of my teeth where I didn't have it before causes problems daily when I eat. They unfortunately made a lot of mistakes leading up to my surgery. They did not use custom prosthesis instead they use stock joints. That in and of itself is a problem when your face is smaller, and the joint itself has no stop so it pinches your ear and causes severe nerve damage. They also did not pay attention to me when I asked whether or not this surgery on my left jaw may effect or cause problems to my right (after reading content that it could). I was told no however I now have severe degeneration on my right jaw as a result of the pulling from my left. I also now have Facial appearance or bite changes due to resorption of the temporomandibular joint. If they would have listen to me instead of trying to tell me that it was my problem in my head, I would have trusted this medical office And continue trying to treat the pain and deformation happening in my face. But because they didn't acknowledge that the pain was real until after I proved it to them I could no longer trust their care. I have suffered through years of pain, it got worse after 2014 when I had this surgery with Dr. Warner and now have severe pain and deterioration in the right side. I am seeing Dr. Wolford; will have to have another surgery to correct last one, praying i finally get some relief in 2022. Warning do not do total joint replacement no matter how much pain you're in if you haven't done it before. While there are cases of people that have done well there is a lot more people that haven't.

Dr. Kao and his team are amazing. I had a tooth extraction and implant placed that was performed by Dr. Kao. I have no complaints about the entire process. The recovery and healing process went very well. Dr. Kao is caring and shows compassion with his patients. The staff are friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Dr. Kao.

Dr. Kao has incredible bedside manners. Very attentive and gentle. No one likes to have any dental treatment done but Dr. Kao and his staff made my experience seamless. They were all super friendly and professional!
