I enjoy taking the time to help patients understand different dental treatments by thoroughly explaining the options and guiding them to an informed decision. Doing this allows the patient to feel comfortable with their individual treatment plan and more comfortable with dentistry in general.One of the most satisfying experiences is helping anxious patients through procedures and showing them that dentistry does not have to be scary or painful.I enjoy practicing different aspects of dentistryfrom surgery to cosmeticto provide more services for my patients. I also enjoy attending varied continuing education courses to learn new techniques, procedures, and materials in the field of dentistry.
I became a dentist because I am passionate about helping people smile with confidence. It is important to me that my patients feel comfortable and at ease in our office, and I pride myself on taking time to explain procedures and answer questions so that we can create the best plan for their oral health together.I love working with patients of all ages, and I am particularly passionate about working with infants and children. I enjoy working with children and their parents to start good oral health habits as early as the first baby tooth. I feel strongly about starting preventative dental care at a young age so that children can grow up with healthy, beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.

The facility is amazing from the moment you walk in: the cleanliness, the front desk greeting you, the hygienists, and of course the dentists. My family has seen both dentists, but we do see Dr. Katie more. Dr. Katie is fantastic and a blessing! My almost 4 year old is pretty anxious, and Dr. Katie knows exactly how to work with my little one. She shows how important it is to establish a relationship and trust. She's very accommodating on how the appointment runs, and has the patience to talk my 4 year old through everything. Genuinely reminds me of watching an episode of Mister Rogers. I highly recommend Faber Dental!

Faber Dental Arts is fantastic all around! Joanne is hands down the best dental hygienist I've ever had. She cleans my teeth well without being too rough and makes sure to note when I need some suction from my spit or whatever so I'm not choking. I usually see Dr. Katie who is just an absolute gem of a human! She makes sure to listen to any concerns and is very understanding and sympathetic. She is whatever the opposite of gaslighting is. I've also seen Dr. Jonathan who is great, too! He's very thorough and also listens well. When I've been away and had a dental concern, he has been just a phone call away to help deal with a problem until I can come to Joliet for an appointment. The staff is kind and efficient and always remembers my preferences. The office is super clean and everyone just works really well together. I live over 2 hours away and it is 100% worth the drive to have dentists and dental hygienists I trust. I would fly to see them if necessary. I really cannot suggest Faber Dental Arts enough!

I was referred to Faber Dental Arts by my former dentist. I was quite anxious to see a new dentist. The office staff was friendly and welcoming at my initial visit and in speaking with them on the phone. There was very little wait time before I was seen. They strive to keep to their schedule which is important to me. The hygienist asked about my comfort level and offered an alternative if I was experiencing any anxiety. Dr John put me at ease during my exam and I felt he was accurate in his assessment. I feel confident in returning to this office for future visits. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone searching for quality care in a professional and comfortable setting.

My husband and I had the best dental experience at Faber Dental Arts. The Dr and his staff are very thorough and efficient. On top of that, they have a wonderful pleasant office atmosphere. We highly recommend their dental office.

Great dentist for the entire family! We brought my 2.5 year old and he did better than expected and the doctor and assistant! Everyone here was so friendly and we were even able to get in earlier than our set appointments! Love coming here!

Beautiful, clean office in Shorewood. I was seen on time. My hygienist was wonderful as well as Dr. Katie who took time to explain things to me. I would highly recommend Faber Dental Arts.

Had an emergency inflammation due to a broken tooth and they were able to look at it and get me going with some antibiotics to relieve the pain immediately. Friendly staff all throughout my visit! Hope to continue to come to this location for my dental visits.

Everyone at Faber Dental Arts are amazing. Very helpful, knowledgeable, very nice and made me fell very welcomed the very 1st time. I needed a new dentist after moving to Illinois and I had a cavity fall out and they got me in within a few days and got it taken care of. The doctors are amazing and got the job done without any pain. The cleaning and exam is very detailed, making me fell that they care about me and my mouth. They told me all the costs up front and they were very reasonable. I recommend everyone to them.

As soon as I made the phone call here; I could tell this establishment really cares about their patients. I am terrified of the dentist but I needed to make an emergency appointment because I thought I had broken my tooth. Even though Katie's next available day wasn't until April; the receptionist still went and spoke to her about squeezing me in the same day to look at my tooth. I was able to get in that same day and everybody their was so welcoming. They knew I was terrified of the dentist and made sure I was comfortable and they also listened to every word I expressed and they were very gentle. I am so glad I was referred to this dentist. Katie was very thorough with a treatment plan and made me feel very relaxed.

My family has recently become patients at Faber Dental. I called in a bind, on a Saturday, to see if they could help. My daughter has braces, and her bracket had broke, causing the wire to poke her gums. Her ortho was closed, and we were leaving the next day for vacation. Luckily, I had caught them right before they closed. They advised me they were closing soon, but said they would wait for me. Dr. Jonathan was so kind, and they were able to snip the wire, and send us on our way. I was so grateful for the fact they went above & beyond. I definitely made the right choice by choosing this practice for my family!
