Born in Hanover, PA, Dr. Dan Fishel spent his childhood in New Oxford, a picturesque town of approximately 1,600 residents. Growing up, he developed a lifelong passion for golfing, baseball and woodworking.
As a co-valedictorian graduate of New Oxford High School, Dr. Fishel was already looking forward to building a rewarding career as a dental expert. After three amazing years spent at Penn State, he underwent four years of continuous dental training in Boston, at the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Every single minute spent in this reputable academic environment enabled Dr. Fishel to meet extraordinary people, and gain the knowledge, skills and expertise required to help him become among the best specialists in York.
In 2008, Dr. Dan Fishel succeeded in consolidating his higher education by completing a four year residency in orthodontics and periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. His combined residency is the only one of its kind all across the U.S. and has given him the opportunity to diagnose and address a wide array of orthodontic and periodontal problems, and create and follow all the steps leading to a successful, personalized treatment plan.
After living and practicing in Harrisburg for two years, Dr. Fishel decided to relocate to York with his loving wife Ashleigh, and their three children Daniel, Holly and Hannah, and their beloved Labradoodles, Mac and Bandit. At this point, he started to work harder than ever to fulfill his dream of becoming among the most respected dental experts in the entire Dallastown/Red Lion/York area. Specialized in orthodontic and periodontal services, Dr. Fishel has the higher education, ongoing training, background, skills and the right attitude to make thousands of patients happy, and take them one step closer to perfect oral health and a flawless set of natural-looking, pearly white teeth.
Joann grew up in New Jersey. After spending some time in North Carolina she moved to Pennsylvania in 1997. She has over 20 years of dental experience. She started working with Dr. Fishel in the Fall of 2010. She currently lives in Hellam with her husband Gary. They have 5 children between the 2 of them and 1 English bulldog, 2 cats, 20 + chickens, and 4 goats.

I'm a 30yr old male whose lived his whole life hating his smile. I initially went to my dentist for veneers but was referred to F&S. I just completed my clear aligners & had a frenectomy done. Next week (4/11/22) I go to get the anchors on my teeth removed. The frenectomy has healed and my confidence is through the roof. I'm so happy I didn't get veneers and took this less invasive approach. I truly am so pleased with the team here. Dr. F really helped me and his bedside manor is a 10/10. And a shoutout Joann. You're the first person to ever say to me that I "have beautiful teeth". Thank you. That compliment meant more to me than you know.

I got my braces today, and i thought it would hurt a lot. Turns out it did not hurt at all! Also, the people that put them on for me were really nice.

I am very pleased with my experience with F&S. The staff is always so nice and helpful and accommodating. I recommend them to anyone, young or old who needs orthodontia work.

While nobody wants to have braces, F&S is the best way to do it. For me, my appointments were only once every six weeks. This made the orthodontics experience painless and easy. The office and friendly staff make the appointments quick and worry-free. They answer all your question and make the visits personal. The reward points system make the experience that much better. If you need to get any dental work done, F&S is the way to go.

My son has been under Dr. Dan Fishel care for some time and has done wonders for his teeth. When others wanted to do a surgical procedure to fix my son sons teeth ,Dr Dan Fishel was the only one who gave us an alternative treatment and it has been working great. thanks to Dr. Dan Fishel and his wonderful staff my son will have a great smile.
