Born in Hanover, PA, Dr. Dan Fishel spent his childhood in New Oxford, a picturesque town of approximately 1,600 residents. Growing up, he developed a lifelong passion for golfing, baseball and woodworking.
As a co-valedictorian graduate of New Oxford High School, Dr. Fishel was already looking forward to building a rewarding career as a dental expert. After three amazing years spent at Penn State, he underwent four years of continuous dental training in Boston, at the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Every single minute spent in this reputable academic environment enabled Dr. Fishel to meet extraordinary people, and gain the knowledge, skills and expertise required to help him become among the best specialists in York.
In 2008, Dr. Dan Fishel succeeded in consolidating his higher education by completing a four year residency in orthodontics and periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. His combined residency is the only one of its kind all across the U.S. and has given him the opportunity to diagnose and address a wide array of orthodontic and periodontal problems, and create and follow all the steps leading to a successful, personalized treatment plan.
After living and practicing in Harrisburg for two years, Dr. Fishel decided to relocate to York with his loving wife Ashleigh, and their three children Daniel, Holly and Hannah, and their beloved Labradoodles, Mac and Bandit. At this point, he started to work harder than ever to fulfill his dream of becoming among the most respected dental experts in the entire Dallastown/Red Lion/York area. Specialized in orthodontic and periodontal services, Dr. Fishel has the higher education, ongoing training, background, skills and the right attitude to make thousands of patients happy, and take them one step closer to perfect oral health and a flawless set of natural-looking, pearly white teeth.
Joann grew up in New Jersey. After spending some time in North Carolina she moved to Pennsylvania in 1997. She has over 20 years of dental experience. She started working with Dr. Fishel in the Fall of 2010. She currently lives in Hellam with her husband Gary. They have 5 children between the 2 of them and 1 English bulldog, 2 cats, 20 + chickens, and 4 goats.

After a horrible experience with another orthodontist, I brought my son to F & S and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Everyone is kind and compassionate and Dr. Fishel is excellent. He truly takes the time to understand his patients and he worked with us to find a solution that would work for our son. After such a positive experience, I went back and got invisalign for myself. Very pleased with the results!

First time there today and I loved it! They immediately got the ball rolling with my expander and braces. I also love the dog! Great, friendly services, and cheaper than my previous orthodontists doctor.

Back at F&S with my 3rd kiddo and would not choose anyone else! Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. I love how they take the time to explain things to the kiddos and are always sure to ask if they have any questions and how they feel about things. Puppy lovin' when you visit is an added bonus!

We were referred to F&S Orthodontics by our friends. We are so happy we decided to come here! When you walk through the front door you are greeted by an emotional support therapy dog. Right from the get go it puts you in a relaxed and comfortable mood. All of the staff are extremely friendly and very thorough when explaining the recommended treatment during the consultation. At my boys first appointment everyone was so nice and accommodating. They explained everything to them in a manner that a child would understand. After the first consultation my one son said "I can't wait to come back next week". Never thought I would hear them say that about an orthodontist lol. This place is definitely worth checking out and having a consultation!

F&S Orthodontics has been an amazing group to work with for our child's orthodontics needs. They were able to get him in quickly and had a very quick turnaround on getting him the expander he needed to open up space for his adult teeth. Their staff are very friendly, gentle, and understanding when working with our child who was 6 when he got his expander, and was quite nervous. They also offered a very reasonable payment plan that allowed us to make monthly payments via our Health Savings Account (HSA). We have the utmost confidence in the team at F&S and would highly recommend them to anyone needing orthodontic work.

Joann sat with me while we waited for Dr. Fishel to come in which was awesome. It really made me feel like my time and appointment was important. Dr. Fishel was extremely kind, gentle, and attentive. He listened to and aknowledged all of my concerns then laid out a tentative treatment plan. Plus, he offers an auto-pay payment plan! Not to mention the doggy mascot! He makes what is normally an anxious situation much more comfortable! I will definitely be taking my kids here as well!

My brother landon just switched to here and they gave me a free t shirt and I wasn't a patient.They also have 2 dogs that walk around mack and bandit they are both Australian labadodals. Even though they dont have free water they have dogs that are better then water.

Going to F&S the last year and a half has been a great experience because of the wonderful staff. They are so kind and helpful and have been so supportive and helping address all of my fears and concerns with my orthodontia work. The facility is clean and neat. They are always on time and my appointments are quick, they never make me wait. I recommend them to anyone who needs orthodontics work for themselves or their children. They are the best!

Dr. Fishel and the ladies at F&S are the absolute best. Dr. Fishel is incredibly knowledgable and gentle, and his staff are very patient and kind. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I know it's uncommon to enjoy trips to the dentist, but Dr. Fishel and his staff are definitely the silver lining!
