This office started out positively for me when I started there a few years ago. It is coupled to the Kaiser Med Advantage plan. Slowly the competent hygienists left and today the newest replacement told me I have a severe grinding issue and I need a $600 occlusion guard. No prior dental offices have found this condition. My wife tells about my failing but nocturnal bruxism has never been mentioned. I am a retired MD and know the symptoms from my clinical experience. I know an unnecessary service when it hits me in the teeth. This office has deteriorated quickly. Greedy? Caveat emptor. Please read the owner's response as it speaks volumes. He fails to identify himself.. hiding? Did he write it? Abandonment without offering coverage until a new office or 30 days. Know the laws about coverage I did not accept the service, visit the prospective charge for a bite guard which has 50 cents of resin. Shame? Not me. That's you projecting. Look it up if that concept was addressed at your dental school. Oh yeah,, where was that "school". Come out and identify yourself. If you can. Too bad there aren't negative scores. Oh well Again caveat emptor All the responses to low scores are similar.

I recently moved and tried another dentist, expecting to get the same level of care and treatment. After one visit, I'm returned to EZ Smile even though it's a longer drive. The staff and Dr. Monraz have always given me quality care. I've gone to Dr. Monraz for over 10 years and have had wisdom teeth pulled, a few fillings and crowns and am please with his work.

Not too pleased with this place. The dentist are helpful but move quick, which is understandable but terrible customer service. Never calls back even if you ask them too. Lady at front desk can't do her one job (ensuring you're on the proper coverage). They didn't mind taking $300 for a teeth whitening but wouldn't clean my teeth under my coverage that I pay for every month. I signed up here because i believed they were family oriented and that's completely false. Save yourself time/money by finding a different provider

The dental assistant was great, and the hygienist was kind and very quick. Zapped those problem areas in a jiffy. The Actual dentist however was rude. I've never had a dentist accuse me of not brushing my teeth, call me a liar, and then putting a picture of my teeth in front of me to shame me. Not sure if I should have given the place a 2 star or 3, because the hygienist made me forget about that awful interaction for the most part.

Believe the one star reviews, and see thru the feeble efforts of the doc to devalue those comments. I wish I had read them in more detail in advance of my attempting to receive care. Do note, they require you sign an NDA and agree to not question the Dentist. If you want the very most expensive and take on care with minimal evidentiary support and have infinite money to fund ambiguously fabricated concerns, this is the Dentist for you! There is some level of subjectivity in any medical engagement.. two dentists can see the same teeth, and draw very different conclusions as to what is suitable. One may see a crack in a tooth, with no pain noted, and say "wait, let's see if this is an issue". One may see a crack, and immediately argue "full crowns". This dentist would appear to be more the latter. My teeth, in one room being told they are very clean and barely need a cleaning, and then at desk, being told I do NOT qualify for the discounted cleaning that comes WITH my insurance, and must instead pay, out of pocket, on the order of $600 plus for "deep cleaning".. because apparently in the 10 feet from the Dentists' room to the front counter, I was attacked by a giant plaque monster and gum disease horde. And my newish composite fillings? inadequate, and must be reverted to the more robust "amalgam". Based on multiple family members experience with this Santa Rosa office, it is apparent that any possible work that could be contrived in even the most far fetched analysis will be recommended. They may "accept" low cost Dental Insurance, by plan, but not by action, as those "benefits" are not adequate for the many "issues" that get noted. Subsequent to this, I have seen multiple well reviewed dentists, who all have said my teeth are in great shape, no need for new fillings, crowns, etc, and yes, that was THEIR opinion, and that all was very different than this Dentist's opinion And they were baffled when I indicated what I was told, as they did not see the supporting evidence this dental office claimed to see. so if you do go to this dentist, be prepared to pay, out of pocket, for a huge litany of issues that remarkably, other dentists (who must be hugely inferior!) do not see.

Very impressed with this office thus far. Scheduled a consultation with their periodonist; both he and Gloria took the time to thoroughly explain what was needed, and how to work with the insurance company to maximize benefits. Can't say I'm looking forward to dental surgery, but have a feeling this place will make it tolerable. Thanks! *Edit* - Upper and lower left quadrant-surgery was tolerable with Dr. Onea, but a bit rough and left some serious spacing between my teeth. No follow-up from the office OR periodontist, and stitches were removed by a dental assistant two weeks later. I assumed the in-house dentist would, at the very least, look my mouth over (seeing as how the periodontist does work in his location), but that didn't happen. Assistant left stitches in my mouth that I didn't notice until getting to my car - so, had to go BACK in to get the last of them removed. Again, with no follow-up from the office or periodontist, I decided to go elsewhere for future dental work.

Wish I would have checked other reviews before making appointment. I rather have my teeth rot and fall out before I ever step foot into EZ Smile ever again. The dentist has a huge ego and attitude to go with it. These offices are operate like a puppy mill or a factory. Lets start with calling me at 4pm to cancel next mornings appointment because they didnt get confirmation of my insurance. They had over a week to do it but waited until the last minute. I even emailed them a copy of my insurance card. I had the insurance company call them to help. They told the insurance company to call back later because they were too busy to talk. I specifically asked about exam and teeth cleaning on same day. I arrive for second try to find out they will not clean my teeth that day. They could care less how much time you have to take off of work to accommodate what is convenient for them. Scroll down to Jen's review and look how they responded! When you go in they make you sign a paper that if you are 15 minutes late they can cancel your appointment.... yet they say "shame on you" to jen who was jerked around and on last visit kept waiting over 20 minutes. Then they blame it all on Covid. I had Covid and was very ill but i never EVER used it or the epidemic for an excuse for incompetency.

My first experience at this office was "painless" in every way. Since then this practice has become a "factory", lacking any resemblance of professionalism or customer service. I have made two one hour trips there in the past three days for ...

This was my first time here. I always get anxious going to the dentist but not this time. I felt very comfortable. The dentist explained in detail what I need done and explained it so I would understand it. Instead of jacking prices up by adding more procedures he gave me the less expensive way. I appreciated that especially being on a fixed income. The billing person was also great. Explained my benefits and gave me a run down of the cost. I would recommend EZ Dental of Santa Rosa.
