Dr. Yvonelle Moreau was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, where she received a Bachelors degree in Biology. She later earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she and her husband relocated to Northern Virginia while her husband served on Active Duty in the United States Air Force. They loved the area so much, they decided to stay and call Virginia home.
Dr. Moreau has a true passion for dentistry and putting her patients at ease during every visit. She continues to stay knowledgeable and informed about the latest trends and technology to ensure that her patients are provided with the best treatment possible.
Dr. Keith James is a native of Rochester, New York, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester. There, he met his beautiful wife and other half, Dr. Yvonelle Moreau. He later attained his Doctorate of Optometry from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in Manhattan, New York. While an optometry student, Dr. James received a prestigious Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Air Force.
After graduating, Dr. James relocated to the Washington D.C. area to serve on Active Duty in the United States Air Force as an Optometrist and clinical Flight Commander. By the end of his military service, Dr. James and his family had an incredible appreciation for Northern Virginia and have decided to make it home. Here, he and his wife raise their incredible son.

Went in for a cleaning and received great care! Dr. Moreau was very thorough and did an overall great job. This is definitely an upgrade from my last office. Also, very modern office!

I see both Dr. Moreau and Dr. James for dental and eye care, and both are exceptional. Everyone at the practice is warm and friendly and it's the best care I've received not just in the area -- but anywhere! Very grateful we found Eye Smile, and if you experience apprehension about dental work in particular, I especially recommend coming here because it's the most comfortable, anxiety- and pain-free dental experience I've ever had.

From the minute I walked in to the minute I left, I felt welcomed and appreciated. I was smiling the whole time. I had an amazing experience with everyone I interacted with. The music choices were amazing! I got a cleaning and an eye exam. The cleaning was quick and painless. Dr. Moreau was so nice and lovely to be around. Dr. James gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever had in my life. The eye glasses selection was plentiful and cute! I got some Gucci eyeglasses that fit my personality so much. Definitely come here if you want a quick and great experience! The icing on the cake if that both doctors are black! Gotta love that!

I really enjoyed my experience at the dentist here today. As a child I was traumatized and hadn't been to the dentist in decades but they took great care of me by giving a dental cleaning and some options for cavities. Other than that I was told my oral hygeine was good and I already have my next appointment set.

They make you feel like family! Dual appointments today (dental and eye) and everyone from the receptionist to the assistants to Drs Moreau and James were amazing! I now live out of state and the way they work to accommodate my travel plans as well as appointment schedules (to allow me to have both appointments on the same day and back to back) is above and beyond great customer service. Is 10 stars possible? :)

Came here for an eye exam and honestly have received the best service here compared every eye exam I had before. The staff was courteous and prompt, the interior was clean, and the whole experience was smooth and pleasant.

Since moving to the Alexandria area, I was looking for a Dentist and Optometrist. Eye Smile Optometry and Dental Care was the perfect combination. After getting my no cavity check up, I walked a few steps to my Optometry appointment. Piece of cake. I would highly recommend both services. They were both friendly and a complete joy to be a round. They just earned themselves a client for life.
