We have been serving your complex Endodontic needs since 1994 when Dr. Samuel Kratchman opened our first office in Exton. Today, each of our three offices has four operatories, fully equipped with the latest technological advances in the field. Microscopes, digital radiography, and 3D imaging are all part of our daily practice.
Our five doctors -- Sam Kratchman, Kenneth Lee, Allen Yang, Ameir Eltom and Lindi Orlin -- bring more than 60 years of experience to Chester County, Pennsylvania. They are all graduates of the Endodontics program at The University of Pennsylvania, where they currently hold part-time faculty positions. This creates a professional environment in which everyone is on the same page at the forefront of the academic world, while still each maintaining unique ways to treat patients.
When you visit our practice, you will be welcomed by our caring staff and treated by friendly doctors who are dedicated to patients quality of care. We even have soothing background music that provides a stress-free, relaxing and comforting atmosphere. Endodontics is the root of what we do. The only thing, in fact. Dr. Sam Kratchman was born and raised in New York. He received both a B.S. in Biology and a D.M.D. from Tufts University in Boston. Sam then entered The University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Certificate of Endodontics.
A prominent leader in his field, Dr. Kratchman currently teaches at U. Penn as an Associate Professor of Endodontics, and he is the Assistant Director of Graduate Endodontics, in charge of the microsurgical portion of the program. He frequently lectures on several Endodontic topics throughout the United States, Europe, South America, Canada and Asia.
Dr. Kratchman has authored several articles and chapters on Endodontics, and has co-authored the textbook of Endodontic Microsurgery with Dr. Kim in 2017. He also developed a patented instrument called the S Kondenser for the obturation of root canals. Both Main Line Today and Doctor of Dentistry magazines honored Dr. Kratchman as the cover story for their 'Best of' issues.
Most recently, in 2021, we added a 4th location in Bryn Mawr. We have been serving your Endodontic needssince 1994 in our Exton office, since 2008 in our West Chester office,and since 2017 in our Paoli office.

Had root canal done and it was a GREAT experience. Started at the front desk who were friendly and efficient through Dr Yang and assistant Jamie who were both wonderful, efficient and knowledgeable. Can't say enough about this practice Would recommend anyone to go there. The BEST!!!

Had an appointment with Dr Elsabee for a root canal and I've had a few before at other places but Dr Elsabee is the best 5 stars is not enough. I highly recommend him and this practice the staff was very kind and helpful. If I ever need another root canal I'll never go anywhere else.

My daughter was sent here for an emergency root canal. I was out of town and it was the first time she had to go through this on her own. While te doctor did a wonderful job, the front desk staff was another story. They were very rude and condescending to a young girl trying to understand the billing process. It's a shame they don't realize their behavior and attitude reflects negatively on the practice

My second time treated by Dr. Yang. Received a root canal in the Paoli office today. The staff was courteous, professional, open to questions, and extremely calming during an often maligned procedure. Dr. Yang would stop every few minutes to ensure I was feeling ok and he would update me about the time left in the procedure. His assistant Melissa was professional, kind, and thorough with communication. I highly recommend seeking treatment through this practice.

After figuring out I needed an emergency root canal at 25 weeks pregnant I was in a panic. I was concerned about the safety of it all and I have terrible dental anxiety to the point where I was panicking and crying before I even got the appointment. I tried a different Endodontics office in Paoli but they were awful and left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I called Exton Endodontics the next morning and I was so in so much pain but they got me in 2 hours later! The entire process went smoother than I thought and I felt very comfortable both during and after the procedure. Dr. Ruch and his assistant checked in with me the whole way through and there was no discomfort with the actual procedure. I will definitely be recommending them and will be coming back if I ever need more work done. Thank you!!!

On behalf of my mom who had an appt today with Dr. Yang at the Exton office: This was THE WORST root canal experience of her life!! Wish I could give zero stars. The front desk was very nice but that is where it ended. The assistant was cold and couldn't be bothered. Dr. Yang was abrupt, hard, and extremely rude! He has a terrible bedside manner and is awful with the needle. She has had root canals before and this one was definitely the worst! Before she left the office, the numbing had already worn off and she is in extreme pain. I called to ask what she can take since she wasn't given any recommendations and was told just Advil, she'll be fine. Trust me, we've already called our referring dentist and advised not to refer any other patients to this disgrace of an office. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!

Had an emergency root canal, never been here before (but I knew if them). Everybody is really nice, professional and got their "A Game" on. Thank you for fixing a very angry molar.

They are getting 1 star because I have to to post a review, otherwise they deserve negative stars! The amount of disrespect and torture they put my mom through for a root canal sends chills through my spine. Dr. Allen Yang obviously has no respect for humans and only cares about what conversation he is going to have during someone's procedure. He's just in it for the money. His assistant is just as bad! She has no respect or care for how the patient is doing. It's just a money game these days, how much money you can get. Not about how to help a patient get out of pain. First and last visit for sure!

Today was my first time being seen at this practice . I was seen at the Paoli location. It is a very modern clean office with friendly staff. Dr. Orlin was very thorough and super nice as well as her assistant . So glad I didn't need anything done to my tooth and just had it evaluated today. But, I would feel very confident and comfortable if Dr. Orlin needed to proceed further with my tooth. Great practice !

I am changing my review from 1-5 stats. Even though I had a terrible experience at the Exton office, I gave them another chance and visited the West Chester location. I had a wonderful experience with the doctors and staff there. I look forward to my continued treatment.

I needed a root canal asap and tried several locations near my home in Hazleton, PA. Several weeks was my best option for an appointment and the pain was becoming unbearable. I took a chance and called Exton Endo who has 3 offices. The receptionist said she could get me an appointment in 2 days!!!!. I had to ask if she was serious since no Endo in a 2 hour radius would get me in even after explaining my major discomfort. I showed up for my 8 a.m. appointment, was greeted by a genuinely friendly office staff. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr Orland was excellent and explained all the necessary details for the procedure and post procedure. I would have had major issues if I waited for another Endo to take me in. I highly recommend this group and it was well worth my 2 hour drive each way. THANK YOU WEST CHESTER ENDO FAMILY!

I usually do not do reviews but after my experience today I had to post something for the outstanding accomodations and service from this team. That said...Many people do not like getting their teeth worked on. However, if you have to find a place...this is it. The staff and team there are incredible. I went in just to be looked at for my tooth pain, and ended up being treated like a king. I had Dr. Orlin work on me with flawless perfection. In todays businesses there are few like this place. Thank you all for everything. From the time I stepped in the door to the time I left each staff member was exceptional. Keep up the amazing work!

It was the second time that my spouse came to this location due to other dentist dental work. Both times the staff and doctor Yeng were very professional and polite. This time it was an emergency and they were able to get my spouse checked. You can enjoy the outdoors while waiting due to covid, there is a bench right across the office and some shade as well. I waited outside while my spouse had a root canal done

The best, hands down! Should I ever need another root canal, I'll definitely try to coordinate flying in from Chicago again to see Dr. Eltom. After two less than favorable visits with Endodontists for my tooth, I was so impressed with the care I received at this practice. The office was clean, and the staff was friendly. Dr Eltom has an exceptionally calm, and caring disposition. So grateful he advised we could save my fractured tooth instead of pulling it. He's professional, through and explained the prognosis for my tooth, root canal procedure prior and during the treatment. While there's nothing enjoyable about a root canal, this Dr.'s knowledge and care, make for the best experience and outcome!

Dr. Kratchman and staff exceeded my expectations. From the check in to check out everyone was welcoming and pleasant. A painless root canal performed with Dr and assistant complimenting each other during the procedure. I highly recommend this practice.
