Also a Chicago native, Dr. Tage Welindt, DDS has been serving smiles in Oak Park since 1985. Before creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Welindt attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating he attended University of Illinois at Chicago where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Welindt is currently a member of theAmerican Dental Association (ADA), theIllinois State Dental Society (ISDS)and theChicago Dental Society (CDS). Also, he is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
As a dental provider, Dr. Welindts goal is to optimize each patients oral health and well being. He would like patients to feel confident when they smile as well as have the proper knowledge to maintain a healthy mouth for years to come. Dr. Welindt enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients and sharing in their journey to a healthier smile.
Outside of helping patients Smile, Dr. Welindt spends time with his two adult children, Dillon and Nicole. Dr. Welindt also enjoys exercising and spending time outside playing golf and walking in nature.
Dr. Valerie Levrant was born and raised in Oak Park and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School. She attended Johns Hopkins University where she majored in civil engineering. She soon recognized that engineering was not her calling and was drawn to dentistry, remembering the positive dental experiences shes had in her life. She then enrolled at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and found her perfect fit.
Dr. Levrant continued her education and completed a general practice residency at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York, where she was chosen to stay on an additional year as chief resident. Since moving back to Illinois, she has worked in the far west suburbs but is thrilled to be bringing her passion for patient-centered care and creating positive dental experiences back to her hometown.
After receiving her certification in dental assisting from LOYOLA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY in 1979, JoAnn began her career at EXQUISITE SMILES OAK PARK as Dr. Frank J. Smiths dental assistant. Eventually she took on the role as receptionist, and several years later assumed the position as Office Manager for the practice. JoAnns vast experience makes her the go to person for everything from information on treatment to insurance, scheduling and more. JoAnn also is certified in CPR and the usage of the AED.
Diana is a Registered Dental Hygienist who earned her Dental Hygiene degree and Bachelor of Science from NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY DENTAL SCHOOL in 1991. She is certified in the administration of local anesthesia, CPR, and the use of the AED. Diana began her career with EXQUISITE SMILES OAK PARK in 1998. Our patients enjoy Dianas straightforward, no nonsense way of explaining the importance of good dental hygiene!
Marcia earned her degree in Dental Hygiene and her Bachelor of Science in 1984 from SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY. She received her certification in the administration of local anesthesia in 2015 from U.I.C. DENTAL SCHOOL. She also is certified in CPR and the use of the AED. Marcia joined EXQUISITE SMILES OAK PARK in January, 2016, and works part-time for the practice. Marcia has a true connection to the Oak Park and River Forest area and knows many of our patients from her days as a hockey mom.
Mariella studied at The Santarella Technical Institute in Bari Italy, in 1986, and received her certification in the field of Dental Laboratory Technician. After moving to Chicago, Illinois, she began her career at EXQUISITE SMILES OAK PARK in 1992 as a Dental Assistant. Her technical expertise and pleasant demeanor make our patients feel at ease and is an asset to our entire team. Mariella is fluent in Italian, certified in CPR and the usage of the AED.
Sara studied at the UNIVERSIDAD OF GUADALAJARA (SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY), MEXICO where she received her DDS in 1987. After marrying, she and her husband moved to the United States to raise a family. She joined the practice in 2011 as a dental assistant. Sara is fluent in SPANISH, her native language, and ENGLISH. Saras background in dentistry makes her an asset to Dr. Welindt. Her gentle disposition has been of great comfort to our patients. She is also invaluable when explaining a treatment plan or procedure to our Spanish speaking patients. Sara is certified in CPR and the usage of the AED.
Yecenia J, joined the Exquisite Smies Oak Park Team in the fall of 2017. A 2010 graduate of Everest College she brings 8 years of experience in pediatric dentistry t our office, needless to say she is excellent with children! J is fluent in English and Spanish and she provides a calm presence in both the lab and in our dental emergency operatory. She provides a much needed extra set of hands for the doctors and the assistants. On any given day you may find her taking x-rays, assisting the doctors and helping the lab. She is certified in coronal polishing and sealant application and she holds CPR and OSHA Certification as well.

My brother Steve and I have been seeing Dr. Burbick and staff for over 40 years. Dr. Joe over the years got me over my fear I have had for years. We will not trust any other dental practice to work , clean and help maintain a healthy mouth of teeth besides the team at Exquisite Smiles. Since Dr. Joe retired Dr. Candace was a great addition to the practice and we enjoyed her explanations of future treatments and referrals for root canal treatments. Dr. Candace got homesick and moved back home. We were lucky to get Dr. Levrant who is a native Oak Parker so she will be with us for awhile. Which is a good thing she follows suit very thorough, perfectionist, professional,caring and funny which I enjoy as a patient. The entire staff at exquisite are professional caring and do what they can to assist their patients needs. Flexible scheduling for urgent appointments I recently had an older crown pop out and they were able to work things out to take me same day. Again if you are lucky enough to find and try out this dental practice you have found the best dental practice in the Chicagoland area.

Just had another great experience at Exquisite Smiles dental office. The staff is friendly and on point with their scheduling. It was easy to inquire about cost and they are supportive in connecting insurance info. My hygienist Katie was professional and her technique made for a comfortable cleaning and exam. She shared best practices for keeping oral healthy - clearly a passion she kindly offers. The dentist is thorough and gentle; great for our dental-timid family members. Highly recommend!

Everyone I have interfaced with at this office is pleasant, friendly and helpful. Dr. Levrant has a gentle touch, very thorough and professional. After a 3 hour appointment I can tell you I am not the least bit nervous about going back as I know I will be well taken care of.

My son and I have been going to Exquisite Smiles since we moved to the area. They take great care of us. Not only are they skilled in their practice, but they are kind, supportive, and fun. My son loves being in the No Cavity Club and getting prizes. I like the relaxing atmosphere and that they handle all of the insurance paperwork and questions so promptly and professionally.

We moved out of the area five years ago and STILL come to Dr. Welindt at Exquisite Smiles! He is wonderful and his hygenists do a great job on me and my kids. His front office is highly efficient. Nothing but compliments from us.

I have been going here for thirty years My whole family goes here. Great staff and service. Would not trust my teeth to anyone else. Tage is so easy going, friendly, and explains the work that needs to be done, then explains it as he is performing the work. Current hygienist Katie is great, as is Diane. Can't go wrong with anyone here. Assistants Marielle and Sara are great as is JoAnn office manager.

Exquisite Smiles is the only dental office I trust to work on my teeth. Now myself, my wife and our 3 children go here as well. I have always seen Dr. Welindt. Recently I have seen Katie as my hygienist. She is very thorough, gentle and takes the time to explain everything that she is doing. Highly recommend Exquisite Smiles.
