Matthew Hernandez Dental DirectorMatthew has skillfully opened/developed 18 dental practices in both Texas and Washington state, 5 dental laboratories and was Chief Business Development Officer for Paramount Med spas in Houston, Texas.
He is trained in all aspects of the dental industry including highly complex multi-group practice management and comprehensive dental treatment planning. Matthew was trained by over 80 years of family knowledge in the art of dental true comprehensive patient care and practice management in a variety of demographics. Being surrounded by a family deeply rooted in all aspects of the dental industry and a 3rd generation dental provider, Matthew has a firm belief for patient care and service to others.
Starting in Texas, he was the acting liaison for the Indian Tribal Denturity Association and the Alabama Coushatta Indian reservation tribal council negations to establish federal mandates allowing the practice of denturity on federally regulated land. Part of his obligations were to contract with top federal law attorneys such as Mr. Rick Moore JD of Norman, Oklahoma to be able to form statutes to include a dental training center for tribal dental practitioners and an oral health awareness group under IHS (Indian Health Services). Matthew started his dental training in 1998 with the ITDAs dental training center doctorsas a tribal dental clinician via a 4 year on-site program which included a mastery of both clinical and dental laboratory procedures.
In Washington State, Matthew began orchestrating the consolidation of dental services into a single dental practice. At the age of 17 he became the Director of Operations for Casablanca Dental Practice Management which made him responsible for the following:
Matthew has extensive tried & tested field experience along with uncommon discipline which has enabled him to develop strategic methods for training doctors and auxiliary staff in the treatment of patients outside the standard dental practice environment. Matthew is highly trained in the art of removable/fixed dental restorations, dental practice management & complex treatment planning.
Jin has worked in the dental laboratory industry for the last 11 years, specializing in removable dental prosthesis as the owner of Express Denture Care, L.L.C. and Comfort n Quick Dental Lab, L.L.C. As a second-generation dental laboratory technician, he has developed an eye for precision dental prosthesis as well as an affinitive understanding of a high volume dental laboratory. Taking over the operations of his familys dental laboratory as master denture technician has allowed him to merge new technology with timeless techniques to optimize their true potential. Mr. Lees dental lab currently provides services to over 30 dental offices in and around the Puget Sound at over a thousand restorations per year. Some of the big names in the industry have relied on his talent, including Bright Now Dental, Sunrise Dental, and Gentle Dental.
Ilya graduated from Stony Brook University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and a minor in bioengineering. In 2005, Dr. Ilya received his dental degree from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ilya completed a General Practice Residency at New York Hospital Queens and also served as chief resident of the Department of Dental and Oral Medicine.
Ilya continued his training with an additional three-year specialty residency in the prestigious New York Hospital Queens Postgraduate Prosthodontics program. While practicing both general dentistry and prosthodontics in New York City, Dr. Ilya also served as part time director of prosthodontics at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn.
He moved to the Pacific Northwest with his wife, who is a native of Redmond, WA. They now live on the Eastside with their baby boy, Jack, and two cats, Walty and Marilyn. Dr. Ilya strives to further his knowledge in dentistry by keeping current with modern technologies. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, kitesurfing, skiing, cycling, reading, and taking long walks.

This place was GREAT! I was scared of seeing a dentist but was tired of not being able to eat all the foods that I enjoy! Yesterday I was able to eat prices of an apple!!!! It's been 20years since I was able to eat an apple thank you express dental!!!

Finally i can eat my favorite food again!! Every single penny i spent was worth it. Works good looks even better. I recommend anyone who wants to do implants with these great people and excellent service. Thank you.

Thank you Express Dental Care. You are fantastic. I was on vacation and out of nowhere, major tooth pain. I called around to several dental offices and no one could give me an appointment or would not see me because I was not an existing patient until I contacted Express Dental Care. They understood and cared about my situation and truly wanted to help. They got me an appointment that same day. Excellent customer service and a very friendly atmosphere. I love the staff here! I was in need of dentures and they did all the work to get me pre approved with the insurance. I now have an amazing smile and new outlook on life. They will work with you if you don't have insurance as well.

Honesty and patient centered dentistry. At my initial visit, I was given an honest assessment of my dental needs, and I wasn't charged for the consultation or the x-rays. That turns out to be Express Dental's policy--free consultation and free x-rays for life. We looked over the x-rays together and my questions were answered thoroughly. It was important to Express Dental that I understood and felt comfortable with the prescribed plan for treatment. I like Express Dental's honest approach and conservative diagnosis. My care was the #1 priority. I felt like I was the most important person in the room.

I had a great experience the entire staff is very understanding and tries to help the way possible they actually care and try really hard to relate and understand my sitahuon! I had 20 + teeth pulled and got dentures and it was very painful but being express dental care made it so much easier than countless other places I went to! They are willing to work with you regurdles of senario or situation. So relived and glad I went here!

Matthew is the best dentist in the area. He and his family have been doing it for generations and generations so he truly knows what he is doing. He truly makes you feel comfortable and like he is your best friend and he is just so relaxed. I highly recommend him to everyone!!!

I am absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. I was hit in the mouth with a golf club and so i have had to spend a bit of time with dentists. Having found express dental, my anxiety levels were through the roof at my first visit. But Matthew was so kind, explained all options, and his calm and informative personality helped to calm my anxieties. At my second visit, i was able to sit in the office/dental chair with NO fears. For me that was a first. This will be my go to dentist. He is very knowledgeable and kind. Not just knowledgeable about dental work but very knowledgeable and compassionate with dental fears.

I had the opportunity to hangout with Dr. Hernandez and his family a few weekends ago. During our time together he showed such incredible hospitality. I was able to get to see what he does. He also explained to me how his business operated; putting the customer first! I have come to truly believe that for him it is not about the dollar sign, but rather, it is about making sure that every single one of his clients' needs is taken care of. If he is unable to, he will offer a referral and never cheat anyone. He is an incredible father to his two daughters. He is an amazing husband to his wife. He is a trustworthy and dependable doctor who I wish could be duplicated in Lubbock, TX. He is also extremely knowledgeable in many areas of life as he offered me quite a bit of advice on my career pursuits. If you don't believe me, get to know him first. He's has an incredible story of how he's gotten to where he is today.

Having some age related teeth issues. Jin and Mathew were very helpful and assisted me into the world of dentures. Jin does incredibly nice work and has a great sense of humor. I get comments from friends and family on how great my dentures look and people I meet have no idea that these pearly whites aren't natural. Mathew is very knowledgeable and knows the latest technology and procedures. They go the extra mile to satisfy their clients.

I met with Matt for my free consolation and found the experience with him pleasantly different. After speaking with him about 20 minutes and having all the questions I had answered he took X-rays then went into thorough detail about my dental situation and explained everything I was looking at on the X-rays. He then took time to explain all my options and advised me to make a choice that I'm truly comfortable with. When talking about cost he explained that their competitive pricing is due to their on-site lab and the numbers look real good compared to other quotes. We reside both in the Puget Sound region and California. Having homes in both areas, our family deals with dozens of businesses month in and month out. NEVER in 25 years have I dealt him with such an unethical, dishonest office. Not only did they not provide pre-paid services as advertised, but the office "manager" yelled and berated me for even questioning him. Simply horrific and likely the LAST place you would want to entrust for your dental care. Our family will happily go elsewhere and we only hope fellow customers don't get ripped off in the same manner. They are unprofessional and profoundly unethical.
