Almost all silver dental restorations contain about 50% of mercury and some research suggests that these restorations may emit mercury-vapors.Over the years there has been a great concern for exposure of dental professionals, staff and patients to the mercury vapors released during the removal of these restorations.Some research further suggests that mercury vapor can be released from dental mercury amalgam fillings during brushing, teeth grinding, and even chewing. Dr. Mazaheri is a dentist in Gilbert and is a graduate of the Ohio State University, home of the Buckeyes! After graduating from high school in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Mazaheri attended Ohio State University, where he received his bachelors in Zoology with interests in marine biology and electron microscopy researching Cystic Fibrosis. With a strong passion for dentistry, he was accepted to the Ohio State College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, making him a 3rd generation dentist along with his sister and other family members in dentistry, and medical surgery fields.
After practicing dentistry in Ohio for several years, Dr. Mazaheri moved to Arizona to be closer to his family and incorporated Exceptional Dentistry in 2006, followed by his second location in Scottsdale. Dr. Mazaheri has strong interests in Aquariums, and Marine life and enjoys web design (including all designs of this site), and building furniture and woodworking. Dr. Mazaheri also enjoys composing and arranging music on the keyboards, piano and electronic music production, and in the past, he has played music and keyboards professionally with several music bands.
With more than 18 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Mazaheri is always in pursuit of applying the latest techniques and technology to his dentistry and has been certified with Invisalign since 2003 (among first few groups of certified Invisalign providers), and is also certified in 6 month smiles rapid braces system as a Recognized provider & is a CEREC same-day crown provider. Dr. Mazaheri also utilizes 3-D printed surgical guide technology into his dental implant surgery protocol for more precise implant positioning and outcome.

That was the best dental experience I've ever had. Every member of his staff from the receptionist to Dr. Mazaheri was was kind and accommodating. But I must say that the day went to the hygienist. That was by far the most thorough cleaning I have ever received, and I take care of my teeth. She was incredible! You want a great dental experience, I'd try this provider. How lucky I feel because I picked this office from my provider list and proximity to my house. Thank you so much to Dr. Mazaheri and his entire team!

I've honestly never had such a pleasant experience at any Dentist's office. Dr. Mazaheri is exceptional! I had a crown put on within 2 hours, in one visit! His gentle manner and skill put me at ease, and my tooth looks and feels great. Not to mention, his office and staff are incredible too.

I have gone to exceptional dentistry for 15+ years. I love the attention to detail, the friendly faces I see on my visits, and aquarium. Dr. Mazaheri does an Amazing job of hearing concerns, answering questions and being a well rounded person. I admire the hours put in in dentistry as well as being a business owner. Dr. Mazaheri is a rock star in my eyes.

Dr. Mazaheri is the best around! He's the best dentist I've ever had. He also knows the techniques to get your mouth numb as painlessly as possible so if you're scared of the dentist this is the place to be. He'll make you realize dental work doesn't have to be agonizing like it was when I was a kid. Thanks Dr. M!

My wife and I have been going to Exceptional Dentistry for a few years. I believe moving here was the right choice for us given the closeness to our home and in general the office itself over other practices we tried. I am very happy with the entire experience at Exceptional Dentistry. Dr. Mazaheri is kind and thoughtful as is the entire staff. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Mazaheri is an exceptionally gifted Dentist. His office, with his tropical fish in view from every treatment room, and the serene atmosphere, makes the visit almost like a mini vacation, however when it comes to skill, you can not find a better Dentist in the Phoenix area. He is not only the best Dentist I ever had, but he is an artist when it comes to creating crowns and night guards.

Our family has been patients of Dr. Mazaheri's for at least 10 years now and there is no better dentist out there. Besides excellent services and some of the coolest dental tech, what we appreciate most is that the Dr works with us and our Insurance/budget each year to put together a reasonable plan to keep our teeth healthy. I travel for a living and on a number of occasions have broken a tooth or had a problem and they have always bent over backwards to find me time to be seen on very short notice (during lunch, staying late, etc.) before a business trip - a huge benefit in today's medical world.... We're really are more than just another patient at Exceptional Dentistry and wholeheartedly suggest you give them a try!
