Dr. Lilia Ferral was born in Mission, Texas, and grew up in Mexico. She earned her dental degree from the Universidad Autonoma De Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, NL, Mexico in 2015. In dental school she volunteered for programs offering dental services to the underserved. Through the Caritas program, she provided oral health education to middle school children, encouraging them to value their oral health and how it affects their overall physical health. Continuing with her love of children and volunteering, she spent time with kids undergoing cancer treatment, taking them out of their routine for fun days out, going to various theme parks, waterparks or just spending quality time with them.

Dr. Ferral was at the top of her class during dental school and was asked to be a Teaching Assistant at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leons extraction clinic, where she lectured Anatomical Pathology. She also participated as an exhibitor at the Schneider Electric Healthy Life 2012 event in Apodaca N.L. Mexico, and in medical brigades supporting the Government of Santa Catarina, N.L. Mexico. Upon graduation, Dr. Ferral was invited to return as a clinical professor of oral surgery.

Dr. Ferral decided to pursue her specialty of Periodontics and Implantology at The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry Advanced Education Program. She completed her residency and master of science in Periodontology in 2021. During her residency, she volunteered at the Physicians Care Connection Dental Clinic of Columbus, Ohio, performing emergency extractions to patients in need.

Dr. Ferral is accomplished in all phases of periodontal and implant therapy including non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment, guided implant therapy, full-arch rehabilitation, sinus lift, ridge augmentation, and IV sedation. Most recently, she accepted a faculty position to provide teaching for post-doctorate dental students at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
