Dr. Thai Vinh Nguyen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington in 1999. He and his wife, Dr. Audrey Nguyen, have practiced dentistry at their two locations in Washington: Tacoma and Auburn.
Dr. Thai Vinh Nguyen is a General Dentist and practices ALL aspects of dentistry. He has a special keen interest in dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontics, TMD treatment and myofacial pain. He has accumulated over 1600 hours of CE credits which focus on orthodontics, orthopedics, TMJ, Sleep Apnea, etc.
His orthodontic treatment goals are not only straight teeth, but also better facial profile, muscle harmony, and healthy TMJ. Dr. Nguyen strongly believes that many of cases could be accomplished with early intervention and non-extraction treatment. His other equal interests include Sleep disorders and dental implants. He holds The DIPLOMATE of the International Board of Orthodontics (IBO), a Fellowship at the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) and is an IAO Senior Certified Instructor, an Associate Fellowship at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Fellowship at Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellowship at Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of Academy of General Dentistry.
He also is a founding member of the AGD-national-approval study club, Northwest Comprehensive Orthodontics/TMD Seminars Group. He has written many articles on orthodontic/TMD treatment for the International Journal of Orthodontics. Since 2010, he has taught Orthodontic and TMD treatment to dentists in many cities. He was invited to be the speaker for the Annual Meetings of the International Association for Orthodontics in Hollywood, CA and Vietnamese-American Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists Association in Seattle, WA in 2013 and many other study clubs in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Audrey Nguyen has been practicing dentistry in the Northwest since 1999. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, a highly ranked dental school in the nation for many years. She majored in Biology as an undergraduate at the University of Texas. She has continuously participated many post-graduate continuing education courses in all dental subjects, particularly Orthodontics/TMD and orofacial pain.
Her commitment is to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry in order to provide her patients the highest quality services and positive experiences. Dr. Nguyen practices all aspects of general dentistry with emphasis on preventive, restorative dentistry and orofacial pain.
Also, she enjoys working with children and has devoted her time to treat underserved children and low-income patients for many years. Dr. Audrey Nguyen and her husband, Dr. Thai Nguyen are highly regarded by their professional colleagues. In 2010, she and her husband received the Certificate of Appreciation from Pierce County Dental Society for their dedicated service to under served children for many years.

Called around for a crown and they gave me the earliest appointment plus the best price quote. They were nice, professional, & best of all my teeth literally look good as new. I definitely appreciated the transparency, they told me exactly what was wrong & whats needed and ALL my options... It was my best decision coming here. They're truly great!!!!!

They are always so sweet. I bring my 3 year old and hes never cried or been scared at an appointment. The dentists are always gentle & explain whats going on. We'll definitely be continuing care here.

I've visited this office since I was only knee high all the way until now; as I enter college. The staff here have always been friendly and attentive, they've always taken good care of me and provided me with information about my teeth. The list goes on and on for all the good things I can say about them. I think the most important part is that they've kept my teeth pearly white. They set new standards for what is considered excellent!

The worst receptionist of all time! Only open in Tacoma two days a week also apparently doesn't think I know my own first name. Huge waist of time. Dental service may be good if you can make it through dealing with her.

Very impressed from my first contact with Dr. Nguyen's office. Staff is always pleasant and so very helpful with any questions that arise. The procedure for getting new dentures was non problematic and completed with no discomfort whatsoever. My thanks to Dr. Nguyen for my great new smile.

A great experience and care at this dental clinic. The doctors are very considerate of the patients and they're always friendly. They do thorough examinations and work, and do a great job at it. Definitely recommend going here for your dental needs.

Due to some bad experiences I have had at dentist I haven't gone in a long time dispite knowing there were problems and they were only getting worse. My wife though has been going here for awhile and told me I should try to as well. So I did and things are going well. The entire staff is friendly and considerate and have done everything they can to help without being pushy.

PLEASE READ: VERY IMPORTANT I went in to see Dr. Nguyen last year. My appointment seemed to go over very casually, but when Dr. Nguyen began explaining the situation things became very strange. I anticipated that I MAY need one or two fillings done, and that was it. My oral health is superb and I have had orthodontic treatment in the past. What Dr. Nguyen told me was this: He wanted to drill into six of my teeth for cavities. He suggested orthodontic braces. He advised that I would most likely need surgery as well. I PERSONALLY mentioned that I did not think I had six cavities, and that there must be some issue with what he was seeing on my x-rays. He CONFIDENTLY assured me that he was correct and I needed all of this work done. I was not comfortable, so I left and thanked them for their service without any further work. I met with THREE SEPARATE DENTISTS in the following weeks of my appointment for a second, third, and fourth opinion. ALL OF THE OTHER DENTISTS SAID MY TEETH WERE PERFECTLY FINE. I had zero cavities, what Dr. Nguyen was seeing on my x-rays were very old fillings where a strange material was used, no work needed to be done on them. Dr. Nguyen was confident and tried persuading me to let him drill on SIX teeth of mine that were PERFECTLY healthy. ALL THREE OF THE OTHER DENTISTS also assured me that I would not be needing surgery or orthodontic braces ever. Not one of them could understand WHY AT ALL Dr. Nguyen would have said this. It is purely evil whatever is going on at this dental facility, and I hope nobody has to suffer from it. I will be contacting higher authorities to further help try to eliminate this terrible and corrupt business. My posting of this comment is in the hopes that anybody looking at them for potential service may reconsider. Please get a second opinion AT LEAST. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE FOOL YOU Just because they are medical professionals does not mean they are not terrible people. Do not let them take advantage of you because they are "medical professionals". Whatever their motive is for working on peoples teeth, it IS NOT to help the patient. I would assume money has something to do with it, as much more can be made from drilling on six perfectly healthy teeth, applying surgery, and years of orthodontic braces, than from telling a decent young man that his teeth look good, and to have a good day. PURELY EVIL
