Dr. Bentley comes from Martins Ferry, Ohio, in Eastern Ohio, near the foothills of the Appalachians, along the Ohio River. His parents owned a grocery and meat store where he begrudgingly spent most of his time during his teenage years. He attended and graduated from Ohio State University and later received his Dental degree from West Virginia University, in Morgantown. He met Linda (Mott), his wife, at the OSU freshman kickoff dance. After visiting her home just on the outside of Troy, he decided this was the town to set up a dental practice. On July 15th, 1974, Dr. Bentley opened his practice on Robinhood Lane in Troy. In 1987, the practice acquired both an associate dentist and a computer!
Dr. Stevens was born in Los Angeles, California, and has lived in Long Island, New York, and St. Louis, Missouri before settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1982. His family all still live in Dayton, except for his sister who lives in Rochester, New York with her husband, and 4 sons who range in age from 9 years down to 3 years. He also has a younger brother who is a dentist.
Dr. Julie Jones Heckman was born and raised in Beavercreek, OH. Growing up she played basketball, soccer, and participated in cross country and track. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Dayton. There she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, which is a pre-professional healthcare fraternity. Dr. Jones organized a group to care for the local elderly. She went on to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Jones lives in Troy with her husband Todd and two children.
Dr. Humphreys grew up in Troy, Ohio, right down the road from Excellence in Dentistry. When he was 6 years old, his parents moved their family to Fort Loramie, Ohio, where he continues to reside. A lifelong Buckeye fan, Dr. Humphreys received his Bachelors degree in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 2016 before attending The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his time at Ohio State, Dr. Humphreys helped start a club on campus called Volunteers Around the World. He was able to lead a group of aspiring dentists and dental hygienists on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and provided free dental care to impoverished citizens. He also served as President of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
My name is Dr. Curtis and I am SO excited to be practicing dentistry in the community I grew up! I graduated from Troy Christian High School in 2012 and went on to Cedarville University to study molecular and cellular biology. It was here I felt confirmed in my call to dentistry and went on to finish my education at Ohio State College of Dentistry. It is my passion to help patients maximize their oral health while making them as comfortable as possible in the dental chair.
By far the best place i have ever been to. Dr jones dr stevens and jen r are beyond amazing. The staff there is top notch. The service here is top notch. I wouldnt even consider going anywhere else. This place these people are changing my life. I domt even know how i could ever thank them enough
I have been to other dentists and I was not impressed at all with the office and their staff. I really enjoy coming here the doctors and staff are wonderful! Thanks for everything you do for my family and myself!!

Amazing place. I had a poor experience at the Walmart Dentistry whoops I meant Aspen dental. But my coworkers suggested I go to Excellence In Dentistry. Dr. Humphries and his DH were truly amazing. Instead of judging and degrading me like Aspen, EID treated me like a person. They even extracted my broken tooth within minutes from my original appointment. These people rock. I'm my opinion EID is the Ritz Carlton of dentists!!! Thank you to all the kind folks at Excellence In Dentistry!!!

This practice very graciously made an appointment possible to reattach a crown when I was never seen before at this practice. We moved to Troy in October from Florida and had not yet looked into a dental practice. An emergency did hasten our checking into finding a dentist and we were so pleased with this practice. The office is very relaxing and friendly. I was treated as if I was a valuable, longtime patient. I really like the way they are upfront and confidential with the information that they need to share with the patient. It was a wonderful "find" in Troy.

Excellence In Dentistry certainly lives up to the name. The people here are definitely some of the most caring, understanding, and helpful people I've ever met in the Industry. From the Receptionist/Secretary to the Dental Hygienist, to the Dentist, to the Financial Clerk, everyone was fantastic. Abby did a wonderful job of explaining everything, the dentist (Zach Curtis) was a phenomenal person who clearly cares about his patients. My first experience here was wonderful!

This location offered the best service I've received in a while. I needed an appointment on Saturday, but thankfully had one scheduled at the end of the month. The team went above and beyond by offering me an available appointment earlier in the month instead. I had a filing that needed to be done. Thanks to the team for taking great care and excellence in customer service by going above and beyond.

Once you arrive you're greeted with a smile and then once you are called the nurse and Doctor both greet you with a smile. Regardless of what they are doing they make you feel comfortable. Once they have completed everything they escort you to the checkout where you again are greeted with a smile. I would most definitely recommend this Dental Practice.

I am 37 years old and have never needed to go to a dentist before, but I came up with 3 cavities (all lined up with each other in the back)...Dr. Mark Ryan Humphreys dealt with my issue with absolute professionalism...all 3 were pulled, but I did not feel uncomfortable during the procedure, because he expressed a natural confidence of his profession...thank you...I will ONLY be going to this location for any future teeth issues, if they arise.

My first appointment was an absolute delight. I was extremely impressed with the caring, thoughtful and professional staff ... from the Dental Hygienist and billing clerk to the Dentist himself.
