Dr. Bentley comes from Martins Ferry, Ohio, in Eastern Ohio, near the foothills of the Appalachians, along the Ohio River. His parents owned a grocery and meat store where he begrudgingly spent most of his time during his teenage years. He attended and graduated from Ohio State University and later received his Dental degree from West Virginia University, in Morgantown. He met Linda (Mott), his wife, at the OSU freshman kickoff dance. After visiting her home just on the outside of Troy, he decided this was the town to set up a dental practice. On July 15th, 1974, Dr. Bentley opened his practice on Robinhood Lane in Troy. In 1987, the practice acquired both an associate dentist and a computer!
Dr. Stevens was born in Los Angeles, California, and has lived in Long Island, New York, and St. Louis, Missouri before settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1982. His family all still live in Dayton, except for his sister who lives in Rochester, New York with her husband, and 4 sons who range in age from 9 years down to 3 years. He also has a younger brother who is a dentist.
Dr. Julie Jones Heckman was born and raised in Beavercreek, OH. Growing up she played basketball, soccer, and participated in cross country and track. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Dayton. There she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, which is a pre-professional healthcare fraternity. Dr. Jones organized a group to care for the local elderly. She went on to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Jones lives in Troy with her husband Todd and two children.
Dr. Humphreys grew up in Troy, Ohio, right down the road from Excellence in Dentistry. When he was 6 years old, his parents moved their family to Fort Loramie, Ohio, where he continues to reside. A lifelong Buckeye fan, Dr. Humphreys received his Bachelors degree in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 2016 before attending The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his time at Ohio State, Dr. Humphreys helped start a club on campus called Volunteers Around the World. He was able to lead a group of aspiring dentists and dental hygienists on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and provided free dental care to impoverished citizens. He also served as President of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
My name is Dr. Curtis and I am SO excited to be practicing dentistry in the community I grew up! I graduated from Troy Christian High School in 2012 and went on to Cedarville University to study molecular and cellular biology. It was here I felt confirmed in my call to dentistry and went on to finish my education at Ohio State College of Dentistry. It is my passion to help patients maximize their oral health while making them as comfortable as possible in the dental chair.
By far the best place i have ever been to. Dr jones dr stevens and jen r are beyond amazing. The staff there is top notch. The service here is top notch. I wouldnt even consider going anywhere else. This place these people are changing my life. I domt even know how i could ever thank them enough
I have been to other dentists and I was not impressed at all with the office and their staff. I really enjoy coming here the doctors and staff are wonderful! Thanks for everything you do for my family and myself!!
