Dr. Batchelor brings a wealth of experience with him, including his education at the United States Air Force Academy, Southeast Missouri State University, and the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. After receiving his doctorate of dental surgery in 1986, Dr. Batchelor served as a dental officer in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps. He later attended a two-year, hospital-based residency in general practice and periodontics/implants at the National Naval Dental Center at Bethesda, Maryland. There, he served patients from the armed services, U.S. Cabinet, and Congress. Dr. Batchelor is certified in oral conscious sedation and is a certified hypnotherapist. He provides comprehensive care for those who are unable to tolerate dental procedures with simple local anesthesia. Dr. Batchelor has lived in Madison since 1997 and isa member of the board of directors for the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Dental Implant Association. He practices at our Madison and Cottage Grove offices and is a Delta Dental premiere provider.
Dr. Sauve was born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada and moved to the United States when he was nine years old. He lived in Paris, Texas until he was fourteen then moved to Appleton, WI where hisfamily currently lives. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he graduated with a bachelors degree in biology. Dr. Sauve then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he was on the Deans list for three years. He received a Merit Scholarship and graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in 2018. He is very excited to be back in Madison, close to family and friends. Dr. Sauve enjoys staying active by lifting weights, playing squash, and hiking.
Meet Samantha, Samantha joinsour team atExcellenceInDentistrywith over 3 years of previous dental assisting experience and 5 years of CNA experience. You will meet Samantha at both our Madison and Cottage Grove locations assisting alongside Dr. Batchelor. Samantha strives tobuild relationshipsandprovidingdental knowledge to all patientswhileofferingcomfortwithall services. Samantha has a warm and caring personality and will surely treat you like family. When not in the office, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, four wheeling, horseback riding, and enjoying life with her husband, two daughters,andGerman Shephard.
Char joined Excellence in Dentistry in 2018 as registered Dental Hygienist. Char received her Associate of Applied Science from Madison College in 2016, and has a strong passion to get to know all her patients while helping to educate them on the importance of proper oral care. Char believes that staying healthy & feeling good about yourself is an important part of everyones overall health. Char is a local, born and raised, Wisconsin resident who is a very avid Packer fan Go Pack Go!
Denny fell in love withdentistry after working as a technician at a local dental, where he decided to go back to school to become a Dental Hygienist and that is exactly what he did, graduating from Madison College. Denny comes to Excellence In Dentistrywith over 5 years of experience intheDental Hygiene field and holds certifications as RDH, Anesthetic, BLS, and Laser. Denny treats everypatientasif they arefamily andlets nothing deter him fromprovidingthe care that each patient needs and deserves. Denny is amulti-talentedmusician(guitar, bass, piano,mandolin&ukulele) Dennyenjoys the outdoor and loveshiking and fishing.
Michaela joined our team in 2020 at our Madison-Excellence In Dentistry location as a Registered Dental Hygienist who also has had several years of experience with chairside assisting. Michaelas soft and kind personality will surely help you to feel at ease in her treatment chair. Michaela holds certifications in Laser Bacterial Reduction, Anesthetic and Nitrous Oxide, from Madison College, and is always striving to ensure patients have the best possible care. Michaela is a huge sports fan who used to play hockey, and loves spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, boating, and snowboarding.

Abby is a local area resident that has grown up in Sun Prairie & Deforest, graduated from University of Phoenix with her Degree in Business, and has had over 10+ years in the business and customer service field. Abby believes that a positive patient experience is always the number one priority. Outside of work, Abby enjoys relaxing in northern Wisconsin with her husband and rescue dogs, and is currently getting ready to welcome her first child to the world.

Mariah has a very gentle and calming personality that always puts patients first and will always strive to make sure all your needs are met. Outside of the office Mariah stays active and enjoys spending her time outdoors playing sports, hunting, fishing, hiking, four wheeling & of course spending time with her family and friends. Mariah has two kittens named Kip and Harper, and takes advise from a sunflower
Cylinda began her dental career in 1999 and has been a dedicated asset at Excellence in Dentistry since 2005. Cylindas enthusiasm and experience makes even the most apprehensive dental patient feel comfortable, as she has a vast dental knowledge and has taken on many roles within the Excellence In Dentistry offices. After spending more then 20 years assisting chairside with Dr. Batchelor, Cylinda has taken on the role of office manager for both our Madison and Cottage Grove locations. Cylinda works diligently to ensure all team members are provided a positive work environment and all patients have the best possible dental experience. When not in the dental office, Cylinda is a dedicated wife and mother of two very active children, and most evenings she can be found in a dance studio or at a Baseball Field around the Midwest.
