With Dr. Paul, what you see is what you get. His easy and transparent demeanor makes treatment fun and successful for his patients, and the wellbeing of patients is his top priority. Dr Pauls love of orthodontics stems from his passion for people, especially kids and teenagers. Dr. Paul considers it a privilege and a blessing to see the joyful faces of his patients as they watch their own smiles transform.
Dr. Paul has been practicing orthodontics since 2007, after graduating with honors from the University of Michigans School of Dentistry and completing his residency in orthodontics. He is committed to lifelong learning, which means he is constantly evaluating new orthodontic technologies in order to provide patients with top-quality service and care.
When hes not at work, you can find Dr. Paul spending time with his wife, Beth, and their fourboys, playing electric guitar with his rock band, Charuba, or hitting balls on the golf course. He is also active in his church community as a music leader and a youth group volunteer.

Excel Orthodontics is wonderful. Dr. Hwang and his staff are caring, friendly, helpful and efficient. My two sons are patients there and I couldn't be happier with the care they have received. My oldest son has been non-compliant at times with Dr. Hwang's recommendations, and Dr. Hwang has been encouraging, informative, and patient with my son. Dr. Hwang and his staff are wonderful. Both my kids go to their clinic. My older child just had her braces removed today. Her teeth look so neat and beautiful now. Very happy with their expertise and service!

I could not recommend Dr. Paul Hwang and Excel orthodontics more enthusiastically! The treatment my twins received from Dr. Paul was top-notch. Communication from staff was always clear, and Dr. Paul often took the time to explain their treatment to me himself in an informative and reassuring manner. My sons loved Dr. Paul, and their teeth look perfect now. After their older brother had a disappointing experience with a different orthodontist, we could easily see what exceptional service Dr. Paul and his staff provide. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthodontics!

Excel Orthodontics is awesome! Dr. Paul and his entire staff are phenomenal and amazing to work with! I am so happy with my results after Invisalign and it was even less time over all than originally anticipated. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for an orthodontist for yourself or children! I can't say enough good things about them.

Very friendly environment, the staff are kind and efficient with what they do. Dr. Hwang checks during every procedure to make sure there are no mistakes, and any discomfort is fixed if adressed. Very positive experience overall!

We just found out that my fiance's daughter, will have to go through a second round of orthodontic treatment to fix the severe TMJ that was caused by Excel Orthodontics. To say that we are disappointed, would be an understatement.

My personal experience is great at Excel Orthodontics. There are a lot of nice, hardworking, and funny people. I never get bored because there's always something to talk about with the people who work there. During my times there i've never had a bad experience.

I have loved Dr Paul. He is knowledgeable and works to get your child the best care possible. Each child has a different mouth and he works to try and make a solution that will work painlessly and quickly to make a beautiful smile very happy with Dr. Paul!
