I did a crown on one of my teeth. The service was pretty good, the dentist is skilled, experienced, and careful. He explained all of the steps to make sure you understand the process. Highly recommended.

The Excel Dental staff are phenomenal! From the front desk to post-procedure, I am always taken care of and informed what is happening, what needs to be done (and given the choice to decline), and what the plan is. The front desk staff is incredible organized and knowledgeable, the assistants are attentive to Dr. Surmont and my needs, and the hygienists are thorough but gentle and take their time with each tooth! Dr. Surmont is a gentle, honest, and exhaustive in his care. He does not pressure patients and listens to their concerns, putting patients' needs and comfort first.

I've had multiple very good experiences both with cleanings and more involved procedures. Dr. Dan is typically who I see and he's been great from addressing issues, explaining what he's doing, and making sure to follow up. I'm very happy with Excel.

My first visit to Excel Dental, Ann Arbor was very satisfying. The receptionist was able to bring up my dental insurance coverage details to describe to me what costs I'd be liable for. The hygienist was knowledgeable, explained what she was doing and why, as we went along. Finally the dentist spent time overviewing the results and laying out possible next steps. I never felt pressure to sign up for any optional treatments or procedures. I'll be doing my scheduled dental maintenance here, quite pleased.

went there several times, the dentist is professional (5 star) and caring, the staff are friendly. I had root canal and fillings, and very satisfied with both of them. But I'm a little bit disappointed with the assistants, I was not comfortable during my visits. They talk with each other all the time (so noisy) and they may hurt you because they don't pay enough attention and don't ask if you are ok. Other than that, everything was great.
