Dr. Chitrang (Chad) Patel has resided in Massachusetts for over 20 years. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Biology from Northeastern University. While completing his bachelors degree, he also pursued a Fellowship in Applied Molecular Photo-Medicine in the field of dentistry from the Forsyth Institute. He then went on to complete dental school at Boston University School of Dental Medicine where he received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine).
Given his passion for dentistry and strive to learn new things, he has continued earning his CME credits in various dental fields. Recently, he completed Dr. Gargs Implant Seminar course. He is very committed to treating his patients to the highest standards by keeping up with the latest in technology. He loves mentoring and has been involved in shaping young minds interested in dentistry. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Dr Swagat Patel has earned Bachelor of Dental Surgery(BDS) from Ahmedabad Dental college in India. He furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine(DMD) degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine with High Honors. He is currently pursuing fellowship in American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is an active member of Massachusetts Dental Society and American Dental Association.
Dr Swagat Patels mission in dentistry is not only to provide a high quality evidence based dental care, but to build long term relationships with his patients. He listens to his patients individual needs, and tailors the treatment based on unique individual situations. He is a firm believer in preventive and conservative dentistry. In his spare time, he loves to play chess and table tennis and spend time with his family.
Dr. Alisha Bakshi was born in Ahmedabad, India and completed her high school and undergraduate dental degree in India. She practiced general dentistry in India for three years before moving to Boston, MA where she earned Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. As a student leader, Dr. Bakshi was heavily involved in class projects and community outreach.
While working on community projects, Dr. Bakshis passion for community dentistry grew strong. She intends to continue working on improving oral health of people in Massachusetts which has been her home away from home for past 4 years. Dr. Bakshi strongly believes in individual approach to dentistry and hopes to combine strong communication skill and procedural skills to serve her patients. She believes that each patient carries a doctor within. She hopes to improve patients lives with prevention, precision and passion. Outside of work, Dr. Bakshi likes to travel, read and hike when the Massachusetts weather permits!
Dr Razdan originally a general dentist from India moved to the US to pursue Masters in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. After having worked in research for a few years Dr Razdan returned to her first love, dentistry and pursued her DMD from Boston University School of Dental medicine. She has been practicing in the state of Massachusetts ever since.
Having a research background, Dr Razdan believes oral health is an integral part of a patients overall wellbeing and firmly believes that prevention is better than cure. She strives to educate her patients on the importance of maintaining the natural dentition as well as adhering to the highest quality of care while delivering treatment. She believes transforming smiles, alleviating patients pain and anxiety, and building long term relationships with patients, make dentistry a very rewarding profession.
Dr. Shivam Patel hails from Gujarat, India, where he spent most of his childhood before moving to Westford, Massachusetts as a junior in high school. During his undergraduate years at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, he found his passion for the field of dentistry. Graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology and Business Administration, he went on to pursue his training in dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated among top 10 of his class.
In addition to his training at Boston University, Dr. Patel completed an externship program at Blackstone Valley Community Health Care Dental Clinic in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He also frequently combines his love of dentistry and traveling by participating in dental mission trips to remote areas of Hyderabad, India and Poptun, Guatemala.
Away from the office, Dr. Patel likes to stay active either hiking or kayaking on a pleasant summer day, or skiing during the long New England winters. You can also find him swimming, learning guitar in his free time, or catching a Patriots game in Foxboro!
Dr. Erena Parra graduated in 2014 from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba. After graduating, she worked as a general dentist in a community clinic where she was able to educate and treat patients in need. Even though she strived to provide excellent care, resources were sparse, and her professional growth was limited. She made the difficult decision to move her home base to the United States in order to fulfill a lifelong desire to become an outstanding dentist.
Dr. Parra completed with honors her Advanced Standing DMD from Boston University in 2021, where she became skilled in cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitations. She also discovered that she had a passion for digital dentistry and developed expertise in planning and completing cases using digital scanners.
Dr. Yesha Patels native is Ahmedabad, India. she completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Ahmedabad Dental college and hospital, India. She was inspired to go to the dentistry at an early age seeing how smile and good oral health can changes persons life. After pursuing her Dental degree, Dr. Yesha worked as a general dentist in India for 2 years. She is continuously involved with Continuing education courses & volunteering in the community. To enhance her knowledge and skills in dentistry, she decided to study further. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with High Honors in 2021.
Dr. Yesha is dedicated towards her patients and emphasize on prevention, educating patients and precision. Her compassion and good patient relationship make patients feel relaxed and make their dental experience pleasant. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting and cooking.
Dr. Maulik Patel was born and brought up in Gujarat, India. He has accomplished his bachelors degree (BDS) from India in 2012. He came to the United states to pursue his masters in public health (MPH) from University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2013 with Epidemiology Major.
Because of his passion towards dentistry and to serve his patients in the best way, Dr. M Patel pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University Henry. M Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2018 where he received the honor of Valedictorian. Because of his background in public health and passion to serve the community, Dr. Patel treated the patients in the community health center for past two years.
Dr. Patel always strive for precision and compassion in Dentistry. His aim is to improve patients health, appearance, self-confidence and overall quality of life. He provides patients with highest quality dental care in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with family, traveling, sports, and photography.

Needed a new dental office due to new insurance and found Excel because I get my nails done in the same plaza. They were quick to fit me in, which was a relief considering it was for me and my 2 kids. They are clean and polite. The entire staff from dental assistants to dentist has been a pleasure to be around, they make it so easy and painless. Definitely recommend!

I have been suffering headaches and nerve pain for the past 10 months every waking moment. I wasn't able to work And was considering closing my business because I was unable to look at a computer screen. My concentration was absolutely debilitating In every other aspect of my life as well. I had seen every doctor there is to see, From a Surgical ophthalmologists to an oral surgeon, to a neurologist who I have been seeing every month on a regular basis. Between my neurologist and my general practitioner I was on seven different medications. I had an appointment set up with a specialist in Boston that took me six months on the waiting list to get in. I was very afraid to have my six month cleaning, but decided to move forward with it. It was then I found out that my dentist Wasn't taking my insurance any longer, so I decided to move to Excel Dental for my six month cleanings. Dr., Swagat Patel ordered a set of x-rays, and did my cleaning. I was very relieved when there was no nerve pain. He was very gentle. I told him about my condition. Dr. Patel is the first Doctor Who actually sat and listened to me and didn't Suggest I go on more medication's. He told me that I had a terrific grinding problem, and that I should wear a mouthguard. It was such a shock when the moment I put in the mouthguard my headaches went away IMMEDIATELY. I'd like to thank Dr. Swagat Patel and his staff. They were all so helpful. Words cannot describe how forever grateful I will be to Dr. Patel and Excel Dental. I actually got my life back. Mary P.

Place is terrible. I had an appointment with Shivam Patel, booked 3 weeks in advance, received numerous confirmation emails. I show up, and guess what? Nobody is there, place is locked! Two other new patients were also waiting outside (with no appointment) and we all left disappointed and angry that the place was closed, despite advertising that it was open during those hours. Terrible, don't bother visiting.

Absolutely the best and friendliest dentist around. Everyone is very personable and nice. I've finally found a dentist office I like going to. UPDATE- Today was my last appointment of the dental work I needed. I just wanted to add How happy I am with everything that Doctor S. did for me. I got 2 extractions, a deep cleaning and my front 6 teeth crowned. It took about 5 appointments and now that everything is finally done I could not be more happier. If you are looking for a dentist who actually cares about you and your dental needs this place is by far second to NONE. Everyone is so nice and friendly and I am extremely happy with everything and everyone in this office. You have a patient for life. Thank you again for EVERYTHING! Edward.

The place was well kept and the people very nice, but: I made an appointment over the phone and I clearly stated that all I wanted (and all I needed) was a dental cleaning. I was told that they would do X-rays and the whole nine yards, and then they would do the dental cleaning for a $50 first-visit. So I went... The doctor was knowledgeable, pointed to me alternatives that I had not consider for some (not urgent) dental work I need, he noticed in the X-rays that I needed a deep cleaning (which seems right), but I certainly didn't get what I was offered and I went for: I was told that they could not (or would not, not sure) do the dental cleaning. They surely collected the fifty bucks...

It's the first time I'm loving my dentist. She's constantly asking me if I'm okay, or if I need to rest my mouth from opening. Gentle and very friendly including her assistant. I highly recommend.

Amazing Dental, it was my first visit with Dr. Alisha Bakshi. My cleaning went great, they took x-rays and conducted the cleaning flawlessly. I arrived about 10 minutes early and went right in after about 5 minutes. The staff was spectacular with everything, great place highly recommend.

Great experience after having a problem with a tooth I was told by others that I needed a procedure costing thousands. I went to Excel dental for a second opinion. It was my lucky day not only was the office clean and neat and the staff very friendly I met Dr Swagat Patel who was very kind and caring he immediately made me feel at ease. After careful exam and X-ray he came up with more simpler approach to the problem saving the tooth and thousands of dollars I found Dr Patel to be extremely honest and professional putting the patient first before personal gain. He had my complete trust I highly recommend Excel Dental.

Extremely friendly and caring. Was scowled to find out my insurance paid for my root canal and crown. Hasn't happened since I was a teen. They broke everything down into human terms and I wept with happiness, literally. Lol. My appointment are quick and the follow up appointments are just as quick.

1st time here and I am so happy I went !! Like many people, I have a fear of the dentist but I was made very comfortable by all ! Genesis was very reassuring and the doctor made it a breeze ..Kevin explained all my insurances to me and his soothing voice just added to the ease of it all !..I will be returning soon and then I will show off my new beautiful smile!!!
