For Dr. Akash Lapsi, his patients oral health is his first priority. He is known for his gentle touch and doing everything he can to ensure the complete comfort of his patients. His goal is to ensure that every patient can smile with confidence after leaving his office. Dr. Lapsi enjoys working with patients to provide them with personalized dental care that meets their needs.
Dr. Lapsi has practiced dentistry in Orange County for over ten years. After completing his formal dental education, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and a Diplomate of American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI). Board certification is a rigorous process; currently, there are only about 800 Diplomates in the country. Certification by the ABOI/ID attests to the fact that Dr. Lapsi has demonstrated knowledge, ability, and proficiency in implant dentistry through a rigorous examination process. Involvement in the AAID and ABOI also requires Dr. Lapsi to attend yearly conferences to learn the new techniques in implant dentistry.
Dr. Lapsi is happy to be a life-long learner; he constantly advances his education by taking continuing dental courses and gaining experience in the field. This dedication to the dental field allows him to offer his patients a superior dental experience. His education and training have given him a host of skills; he is especially knowledgeable when it comes to dental implants and Invisalign.
Dr. Lapsi has lived in San Clemente, CA for over eight years with his wife and dog. During the weekends, he likes spending time with his family, hiking, and traveling, especially if it involves scuba diving.
Dr. J has an astounding background in dentistry. He graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2005, held a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital from 2005 to 2006, and he completed NYU Implant Seminar Training from 2008 to 2009. Dr. J has been working in the dental industry for over 10 years now.
I spent over a decade practicing in both New York and California. While the practice of dentistry is the same regardless of where you practice, the demands and wants to the patient could substantially differ based on your demographics. By combining what I've learned living and practicing on both coasts, I can generally appease even the most selective patients. Dr. Marshall has worked in the dental industry for over ten years. She completed the AEGD program at University of Florida Jacksonville. She earned her B.S. in Molecular Biology at UCSD, D.D.S. at UCLA, and finished with her Orthodontic Certificate & M.S. from University of Colorado.
Her favorite part about her job is seeing patients delighted with their new, improved smiles. She enjoys working with her team at Excel Dental & Implant Center because she feels it is essential to provide qualified orthodontic treatment for the patients. When Dr. Marshallis not improving smiles, she is spending time with her family.

Chris graduated in dental hygiene in 2003 at Southwestern College San Diego. Upon graduation, she was given a professionalism and student of distinction award. Chris cares about her impact on patients because she cares about social fairness both inside and outside of the office. Her next professional goal is to teach dental hygiene and become a substance abuse counselor. Chris is a life long learner who also has interests in learning Mandarin Chinese language, yoga, running, photography, and mentoring.
Wendy has been in the dental industry for over twelveyears. Sheloves every aspect of dentistry. As Laguna Hills'office manager and treatment coordinator, Wendyensures the daily operations of the practice run smoothly, and educates patients regarding their needed dental care. Sheenjoys helping people meet their oral healthcare goals while creating a comfortable, relaxing dental environment. When Wendyisnot in the office, she is active playing sports such as soccer, football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.
Gladis has workedover seven years in the dental industry. She completed her Associates Degree in Human Services at California State University Fullerton. Gladis loves interacting with the patients and providing them with accurate dental knowledge.
Dee has a Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery fromIndia. She became aRegistered Dental Hygienistafter attending New York University. Having over ten years of experience, Dee's favorite part about her job ishelping patients achieve goals that they believe to beimpossible. She focuses on dental care by developing positive relationships, while providing clarity of treatments withpatients. Dee also enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and eating good food.
Abby graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University of Irvine. She providesassistance regarding the business' online and in person presence.Her friendly nature welcomes every customer in the office. Abby loves to see theoutcome ofitsexperienced team and doctors' work, especiallywhen its customers leavewith brighter smiles.
Bryan has been working in the dental industry for over two years. His favorite part about his job is working with his dentist because they make a good team when treating patients. Excel Dental rocks, I could not be more pleased! I recently moved back to SoCal & when one of my veneers popped off & I lost it I started to panic because I didn't have 'my dentist'. I found Excel online & gave them a call. From the start Dee, who runs the Mission Viejo office, took excellent care. She asked the right questions and got me in immediately. Dee along with Dr. Lapsi & Dr. Zafrania went out of their way to explain all of the options I had. They fixed my veneer in no time flat, I can smile again without feeling self conscious. They were professional, knowledge and cool to be around. I highly recommend Excel for all of your dental needs. They made going to the dentist as painless as it could be. Thank you Excel!

They had me sigh a contract, which I didn't fully understand. Just wanted to do one crown at this time.They financed me for all three.It was likeApples for Apples i guess. I had a coupon for free concellation and cleaning.,they never offered theand charged me, 50.0cleaning and chargeme 59.00

I had such a amazing experience at Excel dental! Firstly, Dee at the front desk is so kind and knowledgeable. I was so nervous to go to the dentist after several years of putting it off, but immediately my anxiety was assuaged and my x-rays and cleaning were a total breeze. The health of my teeth was thoroughly explained and I didn't feel pressured at all into getting any procedures or committing to anything. Just total honesty and kindness. I'm so glad I chose this office!

My experience with Excel Dental has been wonderful so far. I went to them with some very complicated dental problems. All work is done painlessly and proficiently in their office.No need to run around town going to specialists. They do implants , extractions and general dentistry . I have since sent my whole family there all with great results.

Absolutely the best Dental office experience ever. Am so blessed to have walked in at Excel in Mission Viejo. I had always been one of those individuals who was super scared of dentists due to my past horrible experiences. Over the years because of my fear, I neglected to take care of my teeth and in turn that affected my confidence, my relationships and even my personal health. I discovered Excel Dental and Dr. Lapsi through a friend of mine who had been going to Excel for many many years. My first impression about the office was through Dee- who is such a blessing and an asset to not only the office but even is a very very nice person who only spoke confidence to me and made sure I was super comfortable during the entire course of my treatment at the office. It was so comforting knowing that she was there to addresses any of my concerns and to make sure that I was taken care off. Dr. Lapsi is such a talented Dentist. God bless him. I have felt so comfortable with him during the entire course of my treatment. He was there for me during the whole process start to finish till the results in the end were perfect. I have had 10 x Implants placed in my entire jaw with complex Bone grafting procedures as well as fixed permanent prosthesis made to fit those Implants. After over a year long worth of treatment, I am so so grateful to the entire team of Excel Dental and Dr. Lapsi for giving me the confident smile I always craved for and for giving me the confidence to smile. Forever grateful.

If there was zero I would of give this place a zero. First and foremost when I received their post card few months ago it was showing as if they have a decent prices for all their services. However after going to this place I was not only charged a lot more then any place, I also relaized that everyone that works there are Not experienced . I have no idea if anyone in that place are real dentist :/ The only nice person there that was a bit nice seem like 18/19 years old 19 his name is Brayent, he was working on my tooth taking CT scan and as for the rest of them they all should get training all over again. In addition the worst part is that they have this receptionist lady that seem to be nice but the opposite, she love to overcharge you and if you don't watch her she make up name for the each service and take your money so be on the look out and make sure to ask her before she recommend a service , and ask her how much and write it dawn. she is very compliment yet she will charge you more if you don't watch out and so don't get fooled by her smile she has a bob haircut and stylish yet you can see she is a shark . I remember looking back when i walked in their the first time First day when i walks inn there was a nice receptionist with longer hair and she must of been 18/19 years old and she was honest and pretty i think they got rid of her because she was honest :( However then they got this new lady who is smiling all them but knows how to empty your pocket so don't get fool by her smile and compliment. TO Make the story short tthe young guy who called himself a doctor lol and I believe he was not i asked him while he was consulting me if I have any Mercury he said NO but he comment on my crown.and implants after they give me the price it was the opposite of what they advertised like twice of that ..I realized it was a mistake if i let him work on and give me implant they already took a large deposit . so I asked him if he can give me new crown on the one that has Mercury and he said 3 so i asked to remove my old crown and give me a fresh crown that has no Mercury . so anyway after very bad experience and being treated like second class I was happy that I was done with this place. and said to my self I have no more mercury. Last week I went to my old dentist who happens to open his new office near by in the same zip code, and i went to say hi and told her I had some mercury and its removed and I dont need any service and she said she has a camera that take picture from the entire mouth with no charge .I asked her what type of picture she said like regular photo pics.so I told her ok go a head she took a picture my entire mouth and said to look At my picture in the screen and I was shock that I still have 3 mercury fillings in my upper right tooth, I was shock and very sad . that Excel dental lied to me and they just fooled me and the are scam .. FYI please do your self a big favor stay away from this place . You will thank your self later. sadly I had a few bad dentistry that all they wanted was how fats to cheat and take your money and leave you with bad job. To me some dentist can be like bad car salesman that will sell you a lemon car, and make you feel that you lost your money and also stock with a bad tooth/car. I truly lost respect to some dentist ..because all they want how to cheat you .

I was looking for a new dentist and had received a flyer in the mail $49 for new patients only I was greeted with a friendly staff after waiting for an hour I was put into a room that was dirty and peeling paint on looked like hadn't had any maintenance Then X-rays ,then they send in the sales person who tells me that I need a extra cleaning for a additional $145 Which was not a special cleaning it took 10 mins and it was a regular cleaning So bottom line I was charged the $49 dollars plus an additional $145 and was told to come back in a week to go over the work that I needed done NO THANK YOU IF YOUR WILLING TO RIP ME OFF ON THE CLEANING

An outstanding practice in all respects. Highest quality work was performed correctly the first time and on time. Care was thorough and professional. Fortunately for me me Dr. Lapsi also holds extensive credentials which enabled him to identify a malignant tumor in my throat in time to be treated. He saved my life. The staff is cordial and easy to deal with. The experience exceeded all of my expectations.During my consultation they took a 3D image, and explained how the process would work. The entire staff - Gladys, Bryan and Dr. Mark are awesome and they treat you like family. Excel Dental & Implant Center as an office is exemplary in all areas. Beginning from the first phone call to the office visits the staff is friendly with smiles all around. They are all extremely qualified and able to talk intelligently to you about each step of the process. The surgical and dental procedures they use are the latest equipment and the most knowledgeable . Gladys was my treatment coordinator and she is a love.! but then all the gals and Bryan have been wonderful. Dr Lapsi is everything I had hoped he would be. I didn't think initially that my budget would be able handle it , and the amount of procedure that I needed would be costly, but yet at Excel, it worth every single dollar in the long run. They have financing and never pressure you to sign the dotted line. I HIGHLY recommend this Dental Firm and think anyone using them would be completely content.I researched quite a few dentists before deciding who I would entrust to do my implants for my entire mouth. I chose Dr Lapsi because that is all he prefers doing. I wanted an expert in the field and I am so happy I came here. Every time I come for a visit, I am greeted by name and offered water. These are simple gestures but make me feel very comfortable. I also get my teeth cleaned by Nancy, who is the hygienist. She definitely makes me feel like my teeth are having a spa day! I love Excel Dental & Implant Center and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have implants. It was well worth the money, I feel I have received a lot more quality than for the money that I have paid. Thank you to everyone at Excel Dental, especially Dr Hanna who always makes me laugh.
