I started taking my family to Dr. Ewing when I moved to San Diego in 1998, on my sister's strong recommendation. I moved back to Alaska in 2014, but I continue to fly down every 6 months to see my family and to see Dr. Ewing. I've tried five local dentists and none are as careful, thorough, kind and considerate as Dr. Ewing and his staff. They truly are patient-centered. I have highly sensitive teeth and I metabolize anesthesia very quickly, so a dental cleaning can be a nerve wracking experience for me, but Dr. Ewing and his staff are so patient and warm that I look forward to seeing them. As a side note, although Dr. Ewing's office is beautifully designed and decorated, he has bucked the trend towards open concept dental offices, and preserved separate rooms to protect patient privacy and allow a quieter, calmer room for the dental exam and treatment. He does have monitors for people who want to be distracted, so he's well-equipped for every patient.

Five years ago, I was referred here by a friend who has been seen here since childhood and I couldn't be happier. Very well run office, friendly staff, and Dr. Ewing is an excellent dentist and overall great guy.
