Dr. John DuRussel was born in Brighton, Colorado, but resided in rural Michigan for most of his life. Growing up in a small town instilled in him a great sense of community. Working on his family farm ingrained in him the importance of hard work, dedication, and pride. Dr. DuRussels mother worked for both his family dentist and orthodontist and this exposure created an interest in dentistry from an early age. Once in dental school, he chose to pursue orthodontics because it allowed him to work with positive, energetic patients and to affect a beneficial change in their lives.
Dr. DuRussel received his B.S. in Physiology from Michigan State University, and a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. DuRussel then went on to earn his D.D.S. degree and his M.S. in Orthodontics from the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan is regarded as one of the finest orthodontic training facilities in the world. Dr. DuRussel comes from a background of providing orthodontic care to thousands of underserved children and adults while overseeing the clinical operations of 21 orthodontic practices across the U.S.
Dr. DuRussel is a Board certified orthodontist and is a member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and the Orthodontic Alumni Association-University of Michigan. Dr. DuRussel also lectures nationally about emerging technology in orthodontics.
Dr. DuRussel and his wife Lindsay spend as much of their free time in the great outdoors as possible. They enjoy gardening, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and running. Having grown up in a small, rural town Dr. DuRussel is grateful to be a part of the Evergreen community and enjoys participating in our many community activities.
Dr. Paul Regan grew up in the small town of Avon, Connecticut. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He then went on to earn his doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine before continuing on to complete a general practice residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. At this point in his career, he and his family moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where he practiced general dentistry for two years at the Pueblo Neighborhood Health Center. Dr. Regan received his specialty certification in orthodontics from the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York, and has been a practicing orthodontist in Evergreen and the surrounding area for over 25 years.
Dr. Regan is a member of both local and national dental and orthodontic organizations including: American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, Colorado Association of Orthodontists, Colorado Summer Orthodontic Meeting (past president and board member), American Association of Orthodontists, and Colorado Orthodontic Foundation.
Dr. Regan, his wife, Marge, and their three daughters have called Evergreen home since 1990. He believes in the importance of community and is an active supporter of many teams, events and fundraisers in Evergreen. When Dr. Regan is not working on beautiful, healthy smiles he enjoys spending time with his family fly fishing, hiking, skiing and taking advantage of the 300 plus days of sunshine in the Colorado outdoors.

The team at Evergreen Orthodontic Specialists takes great pride in keeping current with all the advances in orthodontic treatment; taking classes, participating in webinars and visiting other orthodontic offices to share the latest information available. Dr. DuRussel is currently enrolled in the Invisalign Orthodontic Master Program, a comprehensive curriculum for orthodontists designed to master all aspects of the Invisalign system.
