Dr. Juan Pocholo Cancios dream has always been to be happy, healthy and live life to the fullest. He has translated his dream into his first new office with a strong commitment to provide his patients with the best care and a beautiful environment to perform his dentistry. In 1993 after graduating from the University of the East in the Philippines, he practiced in his hometown and had a successful practice including family and friends in the Philippines and from abroad in the USA. After the 12th year practicing in his small office near his familys home, he decided he wanted more and made the decision and move to America. Dr. Cancio moved here to the USA and was awarded his dental license in 2007 by the Dental Board of California, he spent the next three years at a large corporation practicing on clients he never really got to know well. He felt in order to really, fully enjoy the life and career he imagined in the USA, he would have to be his own boss and build a client base. Soon, after many months and hours of planning and searching for the right spot and the best location he formed and founded Everest Dental Care in Los Angeles in November of 2010.
Dr. Cancio enjoys immensely the opportunities available in the USA and looks forward to meeting you and sharing his experience and craft to enhance your dental hygiene. His enthusiasm, optimism and experience will help build a relationship with his clients that keeps them coming back for more! Dr. Cancio is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Los Angeles Dental Society and the Southern California Filipino Dental Society. He looks forward to meeting you and showing what he means when he says Everest Dental Care is the highest level of dental care there is!
David has extensive experience in many different retail operations and now brings his management techniques to our office. He will make sure your experience at Everest Dental Care is easy and is the source for all your questions related to financing, insurance coverage and eligibility and optional payment plans. He is also responsible for making any special needs or requests easy for you, let him show you how Everest Dental Care can be your favorite health care destination.
Dexter has studied at Cal State LA. Dexter decided to pursue working for Everest to learn and share his past experience as a Dental Assistant. Dexter has gained experienced in General Dentistry services, Cosmetic, Preventive and Restorative techniques. He also is the Office Manager/ Insurance Coordinator at Everest Dental Care.
Started her dental studies at Cerritos College and completed them in 2008. Since then she has been working at various other offices to gain as much experience as possible working with doctors that have varying techniques and specialties. She is also our Spanish speaker and can answer any questions related to your visit or treatment plans in Spanish if you prefer.
Started her studies from UEI College and completed early year 2014. She is honor to work for Everest Dental Care, and explains working with patients has always been a lifetime dream and where she will be committed. Dalia has learned many procedures working at Everest dental and continues to be hungry to learn and work with the Dr. Cancio. When not working in the back Dalia serves as the second Spanish speaker and can answer any questions related to your visit.

I am actually a Patient of Dr Pocholo since 2015 and its been a greatful experience I would not go to another Dentist after him !! He is the best of the best I been scare of dentists all my life but he has Knowledge and very soft hands when he works on your teeth I recomind you go and see for yourself and live the experience yourself thank you

This facility is beyond dope! Everybody from the faculty and dentist are super dope ppl . I'm from Arkansas and been looking to get my crack filling done. And every dentist I went to in DTLA lied to Me saying they couldn't fix it. And tried to give me other solutions to fix their pockets . My oral dentist refer me to this place . I came and fix not only one filling but two fillings for me. THANK YOU ALL FOR SAVING MY TEETH! I recommend this place to anybody who has experience what I have ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

SCAMMERS. They force people to sign billing contracts (check your statements) for services not performed. When questioned about this they said "everyone pays for services not performed" ridiculous. They refuse to call me back and they always seem to be "busy" when I need clarification. They charged 10k with no services performed. REPORTED TO THE DENTAL BOARD

They are very professional and skilled, top to bottom. This dental clinic is a gem! I cannot recommend them more highly. Dr. Cancio is so thorough and informative, and lets you know every step of the way what's going on so there are no surprises. Very calming, as well. Highly recommend this clinic!

Although this office is very nice and a hidden gem in the area, the staff here are quite unprofessional and "petty". I honestly originally had no complaints about the care I received here.(the office is very clean, ambience is nice, fast service, doctor was knowledgeable etc) However, because I left a bad review over a year ago in regards to the continuous cancellation of appointments without notice (with rescheduling 2 months out), this office informed my husband today that they terminated my file as a patient. Obviously this explains why other providers failed to receive a response in regards to their requests for my dental records. UNBELIEVABLE!! I live no where in the area at this point so I couldn't careless, but I wanted to forewarn other patients. If you dare voice your experience by leaving a bad review, expect that they will ban you as a patient. So, make sure you have a new provider first before speaking out! The staff here will even take it as far as answering the phone, checking the ban list and once they realize you're a patient on that list, they place you on hold and never return to the call. It's disturbing that almost two years later, that they are still bothered by my review. This is what leaves me to believe there must be some type of ban list because I refuse to believe this doctor actually remembered my review about me voicing his staff consciously cancelling appointments as his staff said he was "on vacation" and they "don't know when he'll be back in office because he doesn't tell them, he just calls out." You probably shouldn't tell that to patients... For the lack of personal and professional growth concerning your staff, I give you 1 star, again.

If you don't like pain, I recommend this dentist. The facility is clean, the staff are friendly and the dentist is great. I'm having a lot of work done and they haven't disappointed me yet.

EDC staff is friendly and knowledgeable and explained in detail the procedure for restoring my cracked tooth.. and i never felt anything painful.. kudos to dr cancio and staff for professionalism at its best..!!

Friendly, professional, and welcoming staff. I've been going to Dr. P for years and have never been disappointed. He takes time to answer all my questions and makes me feel comfortable. He's great with kids too. Highly recommended

The moment you enter Dr Cancio's dental clinic, I felt I am in good hands. Everyone was professional; the clinic nice and clean; and they followed strict Covid protocols. The best part was Dr Cancio's light touch, as he thoroughly worked while I watched Harry Potter! I walked out with a smile knowing my teeth will be taken cared off, for years to come

Great dentist. Attends you very well! Very very soft hands, you can't feel pain nor does he poke any tooth or cavity.. very gentle & nice.. 5 stars indeed.. fixes your tooth aches feels like you never even had a tooth ache to begin with.. Highly recommended to my family & friends!!!
