For over 25 years, Dr. Karla Torres has provided high quality, gentle care to her San Gabriel Valley community. For her, this isnt a career as much as it is her calling. From a young age she has had a passion for dentistry and educating others on the importance of oral health. At every juncture of her journeyfrom registered dental assistant to dental hygienist to doctorthe comfort of her patients is her first priority. Before graduating from Western University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Torres got her license in Dental Hygiene from San Joaquin Valley College where she was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award. Dr. Torres is an LA native with a passion for promoting oral health within the LatinX community. Her Spanish fluency and bicultural upbringing give her a built-in understanding of the cultural hurdles that make oral health elusive to immigrant communities bordering Claremont. At every stage of her career, Dr. Torres has received consistent feedback: great bedside manner and unparalleled technical abilities. Dentistry is a science as much as it is an art, and Dr. Torres excels at both. She believes everyone deserves access to comprehensive, compassionate, high-quality care. The last 4 years she has expanded her dental care into assisted living, skilled memory care and skilled nursing facilities to provide care in the geriatric/home bound population. She takes her knowledge into settings where seniors would otherwise be unable to receive care.
Dr. Cherish Leung is a Board Certified pediatric dental specialist. She grew up around her many younger siblings and cousins, and throughout her life has been surrounded by children! She loves working with kids and patients with special needs. She is extremely fortunate that her passion for working with kids and her love of dentistry can be combined and allow her to help patients in a unique way daily. Dr. Cherish graduated undergrad from UCLA, and went on to earn two Masters degrees prior to attending dental school at Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated with honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She pursued advanced training in New York for general practice residency, where she worked with mostly patients with special needs. She opted to stay in New York and chose to specialize in pediatrics, training at Northwell Health Hofstra School of Medicine Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Cherish strives to instill trust in her patients and to ensure that her skillset, abilities and gentle nature allows for stellar care and truly touches the lives of those she cares for.

I don't typically like to do reviews but I had to for Dr. Cherish. If your child needs a pediatric dentist, go see her!! As a parent with a little one with a dental issue, I appreciate how quickly Dr. Cherish squeezed us in. We drove 4 hours to have our three month old son see Dr. Cherish for an evaluation of his lip and tongue tie even though there were other options 5 minutes away. We chose Dr. Cherish because she is obviously well trained (check out all her degrees: DMD, MHA, MPH) and is an oral facial myologist! During the appointment, Dr. Cherish took the time to explain the procedure, what to expect pre and post op, how to do the stretches we need to prevent reattachment, and showed genuine care for our precious little one. I could tell Dr. Cherish truly cares for her patients and is absolutely worth the drive. Dr. Cherish also used a laser to do the lip and tongue releases, which resulted in a quicker healing time. The office is clean and spacious. There are costumes your children can dress up in, Montessori busy boards to play with, and has an overall very fun atmosphere to help our children enjoy their visit to their pediatric dentist. What a beautiful and talented doctor to help build a positive experience! Our children won't have to grow up fearing the dentist under Dr. Cherish's skilled and gentle hands!

HANDS DOWN the best, gentlest, and most thorough cleaning of my life. And I'm old, so that's saying something. The staff was super friendly and the office had a very state-of-the-art vibe. I keep rubbing my teeth with my tongue to feel how insanely clean they are. Thanks, Dr. Torres!

Dr. Khurasany is the best! Not only did she take all the precautions necessary to make me feel safe during covid-19, she answered ALL of my questions without making me feel rushed. Couldn't ask for anything or anyone better for my dental concerns.

I hate changing dentists. So much so that since I moved to Claremont five years ago, I've been driving 28 miles to see my dentist in Eagle Rock. I finally decided that was ridiculous and irresponsible and I took the trouble to do some research and I found Dr Khurasany. My first visit made me feel comfortable and confident that I'd made the right choice. She has a calm unassuming confidence, a gentle touch, and a thorough attention to detail. *** Several months later, I'm still happy I made the right choice. Though I still haven't needed much work, I feel very cared for and understood.

We are so glad we found Dr Khurasany. She has become our family's dentist (including our little one) and could not recommend her highly enough. It is tough to find a good dentist one trusts, especially in an area full of dentists such as Claremont. She is very professional, attentive, skilled, and has great bedside manner.

This is by far the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. Dr. Khurasany is friendly, gentle, and informative. She took the time to go over what she would be doing and even the break down of my insurance coverage. She gave me some great aftercare advice too. Her assistant was also very friendly. I look forward to my next visit!

Newly arrived in Southern California, I was worried that I might not find a dentist that I could admire as much as the one I have used for the past decade or so. Dr. Khurasany met all my expectations. She is friendly, reasonably priced, clearly good at her work, patiently answers all my questions, easy to schedule, and generally leaves me feeling good about having visited and confident about my dental health. I have visited her twice now, plan to keep her as my dentist, and highly recommend her others.
