Dr. Laura Evatt brings the quality of compassion and her skills as a dentist to the dental practice she established in 1991. Dr. Evatt is a native Floridian and grew up in Fort Lauderdale. Following graduation from Fort Lauderdale High School, Dr. Evatt attended Palm Beach State College where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Evatt continued her studies at the University of Florida, majoring in Health Education. She has earned a Masters Degree in Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Currently, Dr. Evatt is studying at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach with the goal of receiving a Masters Degree in Theological Studies. Dr. Evatt has worked as a professor at Palm Beach State College and
as a Dentist, on call, for the Marrison Group, Senior Care Residences, in Broward County. Dr. Evatt founded a non-profit cat and dog rescue called Salvations, and has successfully placed many pets into loving homes, including her own! In 1997, Dr. Evatt began volunteering with Saint Teresa of Calcuttas religious order, the Missionaries of Charity. The Missionaries of Charity operate a soup kitchen and shelter homeless men, women, and children in Miami. Dr. Evatts missionary spirit has led her to work with the Missionaries of Charity in, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.Dr. Evatt provides a family like atmosphere for her staff and for her patients. She is surrounded by a team of healthcare professionals who care about their patients and each other. Dr. Evatt has found the perfect addition to her practice in Dr. Rebecca Sheer.
Dr. Rebecca Sheer was raised in Long Island, New York. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology at George Mason University in Virginia, Dr. Sheer received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Arizona. Upon her graduation from dental school, she moved to sunny South Florida and made it her forever home. Dr. Sheer is committed to clinical excellence and a philosophy of providing the highest quality care to patients. Her focus is treating her patients like family with compassion, respect, and comfort. She prides herself in making her patients feel relaxed and comfortable while providing excellent dental care to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Helping others has always been very important to Dr. Sheer.She has participated in numerous dental volunteer programs in the United States, Samoa, Colombia and Guatemala.Dr. Sheer enjoys learning and participating in all types of dental courses to stay informed about progressive techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment. She is a current member of Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Academy of Laser Dentistry.Dr. Sheer is happily married to her husband, Michael. During her free time, she enjoys walking her dog Snoopy (Snoopy is also our office service dog), traveling, and staying active.
Ramona began her career as a dental assistant while in high school. She trained on the job for a dentist in Cleveland Ohio. In 1991, Ramona moved to Fort Lauderdale and in 1994 began working with Dr. Evatt. In 2006, Ramona furthered her education by attending Broward College, where she received an Associate in Science Degree. During her sabbatical from Dr. Evatts office she learned many skills,
excelling in dental prosthesis technology. In 2015 she returned to Dr. Evatts office where she is a vital member of the practice. She shares her qualities of empathy and compassion with our patients and the staff. Ramonas hobbies include sewing, cooking, and crafts. Ramona also has a great love for cats. Currently, she has 5 cats and she feeds and watches over many outside cats.
