Dr. Azalea Sharifi has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years and has provided compassionate dental care in the Collegeville, PA area for the past 17 years. She is the founder and owner of Evansburg Family Dentistry since 2015. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and was faculty in their Restorative Department from 2004-2008.
Supported by an outstanding educational background, Dr.Sharifi pursued a formal education at the Westfalian University in Muenster, Germany, where she earned a Doctor of Dental Science in 1995. Soon thereafter, she obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychosomatic Disorders in Dentistry from the University of Muenster, Germany in 1997 and a Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2001. Dr. Sharifi concluded her studies with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.
Dr. Sharifi worked as a clinical consultant and instructor for patients with dentofacial anomalies and clefts at the Department of Maxillo-Facial surgery at the University of Muenster Dental School in Muenster, Germany from 1998-2001. She began her career as an Orthodontics fellow with the Department of Orthodontics in Muenster and the Orthodontic Clinic in Osnabrueck, Germany between 1996-1998. Dr. Sharifi has been Invisalign certified in 2002 and 2004.
Dr. Sharifi co-founded the Greater Philadelphia Dynamic Dental Divas in 2018, an organization dedicated to professional women in Dentistry. An expert and respected voice in dentistry, she has served as a translator for dental articles in international journals. Dr. Sharifi has maintained her professional affiliation with the American Dental Association, the International Association for Health care Professionals, the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the German Orthodontic Association.
Dr. Catherine Lichtenstein has been practicing cosmetic and general dentistry for over 10 years. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Dentistry in 2007. She received two Endodontic awards during that time. Dr. Lichtenstein's thirst for dental knowledge continued with a general practice residency in NYC where she was Chief resident. In 2017 Dr. Lichtenstein was voted by her peers as one of Philadelphia's top dentists.
Dr. Lichtenstein is married and has two children and during her free time she enjoys cooking, physical fitness and traveling. She is excited to be part of a compassionate dental team that also delivers quality dental treatment with a smile!

The worst dentist I've ever been to. I had a filling that came out because she put it in wrong. Told her it came out and she told me I was fine and didn't redo it. I had made the appointment specifically because it came out. Then my next checkup she told me I needed it redone and that because I didn't come in sooner it was worse. But I did. She redid it and it came out again. I've now changed dentists and my family has all had equal trouble and I would never ever recommend this dentist. Please look elsewhere.

I had multiple cavities filled around the same time and each time it was a painful experience. During the procedure I was never numbed properly even after saying something multiple times. I had throbbing pain for weeks after the fillings and there was nothing they could do because x-rays looked "fine". Someone else in my family had the same painful experience with cavity fillings so we decided to switch to a new dentist. My new dentist took new X-rays and there was still some decay left behind that was never removed properly from Evansburg dentist. I had to get all of my cavities re-done by my new dentist to prevent possible root canals and I had absolutely no pain at all during each new filling process and I was completely fine afterwards with no pain or discomfort at all. Highly recommend you stay away from Evansburg dentist!!

My experience with the staff and Dr. Sharifi was phenomenal. The moment you step into the office you feel safe. They have gone the extra mile make you feel comfortable during the Covid pandemic. The air purifiers and negative pressure room are just some of the extra measures they have in place. Also I was impressed just the genuine attention to detail regarding your safety they have in mind for their patients and staff. Dr. Sharifi is thorough and a general dentist. I highly recommend Evansburg Family Dentistry.

I would highly ( and do) recommend Dr. Sharifi, for anyone who is in need of dental work! It starts from the minute you enter her office. You will be greeted with smiles & compassion...let's face it, no one enjoys going to the dentist. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. Dr Sharifi has put all COVID-19 requirements into place and than some. I was so pleased & relieved at my appointment to see all the staff following the proper guidelines. Her work is perfection! The hygienists are amazing. You will leave smiling

Dr Sharifi and her staff are the best. After my last cleaning appointment, I asked her about Invisilign braces. She took the molds and sent them away. Four months later and I have two weeks left to go. I am so happy with the results and the support I received from her.

Dr Sharifi and staff had to do a major overhaul in my mouth and was totally nervous with what it was going look like after and I didn't smile for the longest time now I can smile and don't have to hide anything at all!!!! Ide give more stars but they only give you 5!!!!!

My appointment at Evansburg's Family Dentistry went very smooth. All staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Trish was my hygienist and she did a fantastic Job in doing a thorough cleaning and taking the necessary x-rays. She was the best.
