Ben Thomas is originally from Corona, CA and lived there through high school. Growing up in a dental care family, Ben was no stranger to the dental field. With his dentist father and hygienist sister, it didnt take long for Ben to realize that he wanted to follow in their footsteps. After 6 years of undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and Portland State University, Ben entered Oregon Health & Science University one of the top dental schools in the country in 2004. He graduated in 2008 and starting practicing dentistry.

Honesty, quality care, and kindness are Bens hallmarks as a dentist, and he has worked hard to create an environment of compassion, family-friendliness, and comfort at Eugene Family Dental. By making his office feel comfortable and homey, Ben has created a place where patients feel welcomed, not put off by stark, bland, and clinical care.

Ben is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Lane County Dental Association. Ben has dedicated his career to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer. He is continually educating himself and his staff on the newest techniques and approaches in order to provide you with state-of-the-art, antiseptic, and comfortable dental care.

Outside the office, Ben enjoys spending time with his family. Ben has 3 children William, Gwen, and Andrew. When he isnt busily caring for patients or spending time with his family, Ben loves basketball, tennis, golf, or pretty much anything that keeps him active and moving! He also enjoys playing guitar and pencil sketching.

Dr. Rob Gay has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. After completing dental school at the University of Minnesota, he served for 5 highly decorated years in the United States Air Force where he completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency with training in IV sedation and advanced surgical techniques. After his Air Force service, Rob practiced in Eugene for 12 years. He especially enjoys treating wisdom teeth and has enjoyed a reputation for being gentle while providing the highest quality of care. He most recently has practiced in Utah where he also works part time as faculty at the Roseman University College of Dental Medicine.

Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, Jackie, and their two boys, hiking, biking, canoeing, ATVing, reading, playing guitar, and traveling. His travels have taken him all over the world and he has lived in Argentina, Japan, and Italy. He speaks Spanish fluently, a little bit of Japanese, and a little bit of Italian.

Annie graduated from Lane Community College in 2007 as an expanded functions dental assistant. After mastering assisting, Annie moved into the position of office manager. She enjoys meeting and getting to know her patients. Her hobbies include spending time with family & friends, reading, crafts of all sorts & party planning

Stephanie has worked for our practice since 2004. She was a patient before becoming a part of our team. Starting as a sterilization assistant, she now runs the front office. Originally from Nevada, she moved to Oregon with her family when she was in elementary school. She moved to Eugene with her husband Craig in 1989 where they raised their two children, Haley and Aidan. Stephanie and Craig are season ticket holders to the Oregon Ducks Women's basketball team. She also enjoys gardening, riding her bicycle and reading.

Sandy started her dental career in the early 1990s in Grants Pass, Oregon, as an expanded functions dental assistant at a pediatric dental office. After moving to Eugene in 1997, Sandy took a three-year break from assisting when she purchased and ran an espresso kiosk. She returned to the dental industry in 2004 and was a chairside assistant until she moved to the front office in 2016. Sandy and her husband, Bill, love to spend time in central Oregon fishing, skiing, and enjoying the sun.

Michele works in reception and has worked in dentistry for 21 years. Her favorite part of working is getting to know the patients and helping them with their oral health. In her free time she enjoys gardening, reading and sudoku.

Celestine has been a hygienist since 1996 and has been working in our office since 2005. She moved to Eugene from Portland in 1994 to complete her studies in Dental Hygiene at Lane Community College. She loves connecting with her patients as a healthcare provider as well as on a personal level and brings a great sense of compassion to our team. Celestine loves staying active, and even taught Jazzercise for twenty four years! She continues to stay on the move and loves influencing her health through hiking, walking and yoga. She likes to garden and do home improvements. She also enjoys spending free time around water while hiking and camping with friends and family. Her deepest joys come from her grandnieces and nephews.

Deanne earned her Expanded Practice Dental Hygiene degree in 2001 from Lane Community College. She has been involved in leadership in her periodontal study club for the past several years. She is a native Eugenean, and her father still lives in the same house where she grew up. She enjoys visiting and supporting him. She is a devoted mother to her grown son and daughter, their spouses and fur babies. She loves to take her dog, Betty, on walks and doing hand crafts like cross stitching, tole painting, and knotting pearl necklaces. In fact, working with her hands is what led her to become a dental hygienist. She cares deeply for each of her patients and is committed to their comfort and health.

Sarah was born in California and was raised in the military and traveled the world. Her family settled in Colorado where she graduated with honors from dental hygiene school. After marrying her high school sweetheart, they moved to Oregon. She now has a small farm in the country that keeps her busy.

Karissa loves working with people. She has worked as a chairside assistant for 30+ years. She is an expanded function, ortho, and restorititive assistant. Karissa also has a massage therapy practice in Eugene and specializes in TMJ massage. She enjoys gardening, hiking and kayaking.

Kim was born and raised in southern Oregon and moved to Eugene in 1991. She graduated from Lane Community College in 1997 as an expanded function dental assistant. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and enjoys working with her patients. Kim is a devoted mother to her children, Ashley and Aaron. Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her children and family, CrossFit, reading, kayaking, and hiking.

Sara graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Lane Community College in 2007 and has been with our office since 2017. When she isn't working you can find her with her husband and 2 daughters, gardening, hiking, camping or just looking for an adventure in the Pacific Northwest.

Amanda graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Lane Community College in 2021. She enjoys getting to know her patients, and making sure they have a good dental experience. When she is not ensuring the care for her patients, she enjoys spending time with family as well as spending time with her cats and dogs.

Being born and raised in Eugene, Lexi has that natural love for nature. Along with loving nature, she has a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds. She has a history of working in the veterinary industry before transitioning to dental. In her spare time she likes to do arts and crafts and play video games.
