Dr. Pate was born and raised in the small town of Rockford, Alabama. He obtained dual degrees from Troy State University and Auburn University Montgomery in Nursing and Physical Science. Dr. Pate worked as an intensive care nurse for several years before entering Dental School at the University of Alabama. He was awarded by the American College of Dentists and the American College of Prosthodontics.
After graduation, he attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where he received specialized training in Oral Surgery(extractions), Endodontics(root canal therapy), Periodontics(gum disease), and Prosthodontics(crown and bridge). Dr. Pate has recently returned from Okinawa, Japan where he proudly served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy.
Dr. Pate has kept up to date with varying procedures by attending numerous Continuing Education courses including Mini Implants for Denture Stabilization and Laser Dentistry. He will perform all aspects of general dentistry, including whitening, cosmetic restorations, root canal therapy, crowns and fixed bridges, implant and non-implant retained dentures and restorations, and extractions.
Dr. Pate met his wife Cat in college and have two children, Blake and Lauren. Blake and his wife Jessica are both Chemical Engineers and reside in Charlston, SC. Lauren is currently a Sophmore in High School and enjoys Tae Kown Do in addition to playing basketball. Dr. Pate and his family enjoy various activities such as camping, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and diving.

Caycie has been working as a Certified Dental Assistant for the past 14 years. She is originally from Englewood and grew up going to school at Mountainview and Central High School. She currently resides in Englewood with her husband of seven years, James and their three children. Caycie and her family enjoy following Tennessee Football, working outdoors in their garden, and spending time at the lake. Caycie loves to learn, read and train in different areas to expand her knowledge of dentistry. She has attended multiple training classes for the various new technologies in the office to assist Dr. Pate in creating Cerec Crowns and placing Dental Implants. As Dr. Pate's assistant, she will be with you during your entire procedure to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed. She is always kind, patient and happy to answer any last minute questions you may have. She never lets anyone leave the office without telling them to 'call her' if they should have any questions after the procedure.

Cat is married to Dr. Raymond Pate and they have two children, Blake and Lauren. Blake is a Chemical Engineer and currently lives in Charleston, SC with his wife Jessica. Cat works as the Treatment Coordinator for the practice. Cat also takes care of the insurance filings for the office so feel free to ask her any questions concerning your policy. She will be happy to call your insurance carrier on your behalf and assist you in maximizing your benefits. Upon your arrival, Cat may be the first person to greet you in the waiting area. Cat loves spending her free time traveling with her family, camping, biking, reading, & attending sporting events in the community.

First visit at this dental clinic. Everyone was welcoming yet professional. Alexis, the hygienist, explained every step of what she was doing & why. In all my years of going to dentists, I have never had a hygienist do that. Dr. Pate had an easy manner that put me at ease. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

I feel welcome everytime I go here. The staff are extremely friendly and Doctor Pate is the best dentist I've ever had. He does amazing work and makes you feel at ease about any work that needs to be done. I actually look forward to going to the dentist. This was my first time to Dr Pate's office. From the very moment I walked in everyone was very welcoming and warm. My dental experience was superb. The technician as very knowledgeable and pleasant.
