Brandy, the dental hygienist, is absolutely the very best! The lady does an excellent job . . . no pain. The polishing and x-ray lady, who has a beautiful name that I forget, does well too. No complaint, they are very good at what they do.
Been seeing the folks (with a special shout out to the Brilliant Brandy) at Esthetic Dentistry for many years and highly recommend them to anyone whos looking for a dentist. The office is just a few blocks walk from the 7th/Fig metro station, too!
Dr. Mirzayan & Dr. Lee (and the entire staff, including my Hygienist Brandy) have been my Dentists for over 15 years. In those years, with their care, Dental issues have been at a minimum. More so, in the back of my mind I know I have genuine caretakers in place for when that ache inevitably starts. It's a nice reassuring thing to have. Highly recommended.
Dr. Armen is a awesome dentist! I flew halfway across the country to hear him speak. I have been practicing dentistry for over 10 years now and have been placing dental implants for just as long. I have learned so much from him I cannot say thank you enough! If I lived in California, I would goto him get my dental work done.
Extremely thorough and professional. Was the most comfortable cleaning Ive ever had and thy didnt try to upsell me on any extra services. Took the time to go through X-rays and CT scans and even talked to me about my possible sleep apnea. Look no further for your downtown dental needs!

Dr. Lee-Mirzayan was born and raised in Chicago. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, where she graduated with a degree in Psychology. From there, Dr. Lee continued on to Northwestern Dental School and received her DDS degree. She also met her future husband, Dr. Armen Mirzayan, here! They have been married over 19 years and have a 17 year-old daughter, Mia. Dr. Lee went on to the VA Hospital of Long Beach where she completed a one year general practice residency program. She and her husband, Dr. Mirzayan, then spent a year in Honolulu, HI where she worked at a community health center for disadvantaged families. Since then, Dr. Lee has been in private practice with her husband in downtown LA. Her main focus is on the well-being of her patients, promoting preventative care, and educating them on their dental health.
Dr. Lee-Mirzayan is also the Six Month Braces and Invisalign specialist at Esthetic Dentistry. She attends many study clubs and workshops to continue to provide the best care for her patients. Dr. Lee enjoys living in southern California and spends most of her time with her daughter and their dog. She enjoys traveling with her family, lifting weights with her trainer, and binge watching on Netflix. Her interests range from listening to podcasts (she loves The Moth!), making new dishes in her Instant Pot, Broadway musicals, and healthy eating and living. She does miss Chicago occasionally, but not the cold winters!
Dr. Armen Mirzayan grew up in southern California and attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Physiological Sciences. He pursued a Masters Degree at Boston University in the field of Medical and Dental Sciences. He ultimately received his Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in Chicago. His interests led him to the Queens Medical Center, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he completed a General Practice Residency.
He is currently in private practice and a former clinical assistant professor at the University of Southern California Dental School. He was the restorative director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Sedation Program. Dr. Mirzayan is committed to delivering the latest advancements in oral health care for his patients by completing over 1000 hours of Continuing Education. Furthermore, he is a certified continuing education provider for the State of California and the Academy of General Dentistry.
An electric toothbrush is fantastic. We are big fans of them. We are also big fans of flossing! Many patients use their electric toothbrush daily, and floss regularly, but its not always enough. The question to ask yourself is, What is my goal in brushing and flossing everyday? The answer is, To remove plaque buildup. Plaque, a soft sticky film builds up on your teeth everyday. You cant avoid plaque. But you can avoid TARTAR. Tartar is a hardened, mineralized form of plaque. Tartar occurs when the plaque on your teeth is not sufficiently removed DAILY. Once tartar forms on your teeth, there is no getting it off, no matter how much brushing and flossing you are doing. Only a dentist or hygienist can scrape it off. When tartar sits on your teeth for a long period of time, it begins to cause gum inflammation. Eventually this leads to bleeding, swelling, and finally, bone loss around the teeth. That is why regular visits to the dentist are so important-to remove any remnants of tartar that may have formed.
One way to avoid tartar buildup is to brush. That will help remove the plaque around the gums. Flossing will help remove the plaque BETWEEN your teeth. But even doing these two important things doesnt always remove ALL the plaque. That is where the Waterpik comes in!
A Waterpik is a motorized jet spray that comes out thru a thin clear nozzle. You direct this nozzle toward the junction between your teeth and gums, and move it along the entire mouth. Because people have different shapes to their teeth, the thin toothbrush bristles and the narrow size of floss cant always remove everything. The strong water stream of the Waterpik helps to remove any remaining plaque and food particles that may still be lodged in various crevices around the teeth and gums. Its amazing to see more stuff flying out of your mouth into the sink even after brushing for 2 minutes and flossing!
The first few times you try it, your mirror will be splattered with water, and maybe even your face. But after you get the hang of it, your mouth will feel sooo clean. And your gums and teeth will be at their healthiest!

I rarely take the time to post reviews about anything. But in this case it's well deserved. Super friendly people and hands down the most through routine 6 month check ups and cleanings that I have ever experienced at a dental office. And that includes the dental office I used to go to when I lived in Austin, TX years ago. And my ex-wife was a dental assistant there! I learned some brushing techniques, etc. that I never knew about that no dentist or hygienist had ever taken the time to tell me about that would have prevented some gum recession. Thank you folks.

Very professional and informative. They explain things to me that I've never had explain to me from previous dentists. They care to make sure that you have no pain and that you have no anxiety. Great folks! Newer technology which is always a bonus.

My wife and I have had multiple instances of scheduling mistakes and miscommunications. My wife had to find out they rescheduled her appointment, without telling her, when she arrived for her appointment. They sent no reminder notifications to me for my appointment and when I called to reschedule they argued with me and said what we experienced with them "couldn't have happened".

From entering the office and speaking with Jacky then getting X-Rays with Dr. T's right hand and then actually meeting Dr. T was amazing! The environment is really comforting and gives you a sense of relaxation. I'm very scared of the dentist so for me this was unmatched. Thank you so much, looking forward to my next visit :)

Don't believe the fake reviews. This is a very shady operation. They will overcharge and extract as much money from you and your insurance as they can. For example, they charge $1,500 for X-rays I didn't ask for and didn't need. I later had to pay this out-of-picket because my insurance didn't cover such a "discretionary" diagnostic step.

As someone who has extreme anxiety, and downright does not like going to the dentist, the entire team at Esthetic Dentistry were absolutely wonderful. By the time they finished, any fear I had was completely gone (and considering all the additional work I need to do, that's a big deal for me). Can't recommend Dr. Lee and her team enough - outstanding!

The best experience I ever had with dentist. I have lots of trauma and needed anxiety medication to be able to sit on a dentist chair for years. Since I'm with them (6 years) I'm free of stress, anxiety and all the negative energy. They are exceptionally kind and gentle.

We needed a dentist for my mom, she was in a lot of pain. We called another dentist and got a callback that they needed to cancel our appointment. I needed to find another dentist because they didn't even offer to change her time or offer another appointment. I found this dentist on the Internet and from the moment that you called you can tell that the people that work there were friendly. Lydia was able to find an 11 o'clock appointment for my mom, we arrived there and they greeted us with a big smile and it was really nice to feel welcomed. They explained all the procedures that were going to happen with my mom. They made sure that my mom was comfortable they made sure that she was OK. My mom is home and feeling so much better!!! Thank you!! I would double rate this dentist if I could! Def 10 stars in our book.

Brandi is a fantastic hygienist and also provided me with helpful tips on getting my dental hygiene in check! Dr. Lee is a complete professional, she goes out of her way to explain to me all the work that she is going to be doing. The staff is great when explaining my benefits and deductibles. They are so professional at this dentist office. I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for an honest, good and knowledgeable dentist. Many people have a tendency to be wary of dentist, but I am being 100% genuine when I tell you she has literally saved my teeth. She put together a care plan with me, detailed one that was designed to prevent any future problems. The purchases that she suggested have literally save me thousands of dollars. Simple things like good quality sonic toothbrushes, investing in an excellent sonic water pic, getting a day guard and a night guard for grinding. Calling me to remind me of my dental cleaning every six months.
