Originally from Nigeria where she achieved a Bachelor of Dental Sciences degree, Dr Nwando Udom attended the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD), graduating in 2007 with a DDS among the top quintile of her class. She then completed a one year General Dentistry Residency at Jersey City Medical Center, a level 2 trauma center in New Jersey where she was one of 4 general dentists partnered with OMFS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) Residents to handle emergencies and trauma to head and neck patients ranging from accident victims, jaw and facial fractures and lacerations (pediatric and adult patients) and hospital inpatient care as well as dental patient care in the outpatient clinic.
Upon completion of the GPR program, despite high recommendations to become a hospital staff, Dr Udom decided to continue rendering dental care services to the less privileged and underserved of our community by immersing herself in a dental practice that rendered quality oral health care, treatment and guidance to all individuals since 2008.
