At the dental office of Dr. Anthony Orrico, weve been making our patients lives a whole lot easier for over 20 years! Dr. Orrico and his friendly staff provide excellent restorative, aesthetic, and preventive dental care, including Invisalign invisible orthodontic aligners, for patients of all ages.
Sara began her career in 1987 while in high school in Jersey City and has been involved in dentistry ever since. Initially, in her career, she was given the opportunity of working as a dental assistant in Hawaii, California, New York, and New Jersey. This allowed her to take numerous expanded dental courses and helped her to receive certifications in these locations. In addition, Sara attended the Chubb Institute of Technology, receiving a degree in computer programming and website development.
Sara joined Dr. Orrico in 1999 as his head dental assistant. In 2003, she became the office manager, integrating her passion for dentistry with her knowledge of computer skills. Sara takes pride in her responsibilities from overseeing administrative coordination to patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and insurance and financial planning. Sara understands the needs of each individual patient and welcomes them as a member of the family. It is very important to her that every new and existing patient feels at ease and comfortable throughout their treatment.
Lissette began her dental career 10 years ago and joined Dr. Orricos practice as a head dental assistant in 2009. Her main responsibilities include taking care of patients in the clinic, sterilizing instruments and operatories, taking X-rays, handling laboratory cases, and keeping an inventory of supplies. Lissette enjoys her daily interactions with patients and their families and building relationships with everyone she meets. She considers the office her second home and appreciates the caring nature of Dr. Orrico and the rest of the team.
Lissette is married to John and they have two children, Jason and Aryana. When shes not in the office, Lissette enjoys going to the gym, running, watching her son play baseball, and taking her kids to the movies and the park.
Norach has been a practicing dental hygienist since 1985. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. Prior to that, Norach received her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Peters College in Jersey City, NJ. Norach, while at UMDNJ, received the School of Health Related Professions Certificate of Excellence for outstanding academic performance and was inducted in Sigma Phi Alpha hygiene honor society. She has enjoyed working in the practice since she first became a hygienist.

Great service, very friendly, professional.. however, when I received the bill I was suprised and disappointed to discover that I was asked to pay out of pocket for the difference between the negotiated rate my insurance covered and what the dentist office charged (even where there was 100% coverage). I ended up paying $500 out of pocket, and this wasn't clearly communicated upfront. It's a pity, because I liked it there - but I'll have to find a new dentist

Dr Orrico and his staff provide a first class experience with up to date technology and a real care and passion for Dentistry. Dr Orrico is very thorough in his exams and educates you in general health that can be connected to the mouth/teeth. Very positive experience which is rare at a Dental practice. Highly recommend.

Amazing place and amazing experience. Staff is very polite and knowledgeable. I had dental cleaning, and some fillings done. I don't think I've ever had such an amazing experience with the dentist. Whole childhood fears are definitely gone. Doctor done an amazing job with fixing my teeth and walk me through every single step. And did I mention that they have a very comfortable pillow for your head and massage chair? Amazing! Just amazing!

I had a wonderful experience and the staff is friendly especially their beautiful assistant, they made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Orrico was very kind and informative. He brought back my smile. I highly recommend them.

I went to see Dr. Orrico after an accident, my normal dentist could not see me. They suggested I look for a specialist that deals with jaw problems. Searches lead me to Essex Smiles and Dr.Orrico. Reading all the raving reviews I decided to make an appointment. At that time, I could no longer open my mouth all the way, I was using a baby spoon to slurp soup and at other times, not eating due to the pain. From the get go, the doctor made me feel at ease and in the matter of weeks of wearing, what he calls an appliance, eating/drinkng protein shakes and soups for just about a month. My jaw slowly got better, he feels it probably has a little more healing to do, but we are so much better than two months ago! I liked Dr. Orrico and his team so much, they are my new dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr Orrico's for over 20 years. He and his staff always see me on time and have the most advanced technology in the dentistry field. Dr Orrico takes his time to explain all procedures, and offers painless and comfortable care for all patients who are either sensitive or fearful of tooth pain. My children also were Dr Orrico's patients, not once did they say, "it hurt," during several cavity fillings, etc. He is also a specialist in jaw / mandible conditions, grinding of the teeth, etc. Dr Orrico is up on the latest procedures and in addition to being extremely personable, his knowledge far exceeds the average dentist.

Because of my anxiety I am hesitant to go to the dentist. Dr. Orrico and his staff did a great job putting me at ease. It was a pain free stress free experience. Best of all my teeth looked and felt great when I left. I couldn't be happier!

The office was modern and immaculate and the Dental Assistant Staff were welcoming and so friendly. Dr. Oricco provided the best dental exam I have ever had and I learned so much as he took the time and care to explain to me what was wrong and the mechanics of why. I never understood how my mouth and jaw properly worked until today. He is my new favorite dentist, ever! As my dental insurance was expiring, he even made room for me after hearing my message to the office begging for an appointment. Modern, Clean, Professional, and Friendly. Dr. Orrico is a self-proclaimed dental science nerd-- and I love that! Everyone is super friendly and efficient. You always walk out feeling well looked after (and with a bright smile). I asked him recently if I needed a new retainer, and instead of taking the money to do so, he told me I didn't need it. That's integrity!

This was my first visit with Dr. Oricco and I was thoroughly impressed. I was seen as an emergency visit because I've been dealing with severe tooth pain for almost two weeks. Although I was at another dentist twice, as well as the oral surgeon, they found nothing. On the other hand, Dr. Oricco immediately identified the issue and thoroughly explained what was causing the pain. He created a contraption for my mouth and, with only one night of wearing it, the pain subsided. His office staff, Sara and Lisette, were great too!! Very highly recommend!
