Dr. Nathan Makay believes that continuing education is an essential part of providing quality, comprehensive care to his patients. He is currently active in Spear Education and has attended the Misch International Implant Institute, in addition to receiving special training in Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, and Perio Protect.
Dr. Jordan Lieberman is a graduate of the New York University of College of Dentistry where he was recognized as a leader within his group practice for his clinical abilities and promotion of patient education. Dr. Lieberman also believes in community service, and has participated in outreaches both locally and internationally.
Dr. Nick Bryan is a graduate of the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bryan is enthusiastic about delivering comprehensive dental care including esthetic dentistry, Invisalign, and implantology as new member of the unbelievable dental team at Essex Family Dental
My profession means everything to me. It is what drives me every day and, other than my family, it is what I enjoy the most. Having the opportunity to make people feel better about themselves and their smiles, and to work with people who enjoy it as well, is unexplainable. The relationships Ive built with my patients have made such an impact on my life; each day I have the opportunity to learn something new from a patient that continues to nourish my professional growth.

His free time is spent with his family, teaching his children the importance of moral value and helping them grow up to be honest, happy people. As a family, they also enjoy swimming, playing golf, fishing, and skiing in the winter.

Dr. Jordan Lieberman is a graduate of the New York University of College of Dentistry where he was recognized as a leader within his group practice for his clinical abilities and promotion of patient education. Dr. Lieberman also believes in community service, and has participated in outreaches both locally and internationally to provide care to diverse populations. Dr. Lieberman is a strong believer in providing comprehensive care, and currently leads a study club comprised of general dentists and specialists throughout Vermont.
While Dr. Lieberman was born in Ohio, he moved to South Burlington, VT as a child and is excited to be back in the area that he considers his hometown. When not in the office he stays active and can be found skiing, hiking, or playing a variety of sports depending on the season. If the weather is not cooperating, he can be found on the couch with his cat catching up on the latest shows.
I entered the dental profession to help people on an unmediated personal level. Above all else my goal is to provide the highest quality care and positive experience for our patients to improve and maintain their health.
Dr. Nick Bryan is a graduate of the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bryan is enthusiastic about delivering comprehensive dental care including esthetic dentistry, Invisalign, and implantology as new member of the unbelievable dental team at Essex Family Dental. He believes in the value of continuing education and providing top level care based on current evidence based dentistry.
Dr. Bryan grew up in Shelburne, Vermont. He now lives with his partner Amy in South Burlington and enjoys food projects and taking care of an abundance of houseplants. They are planning to adopt a dog soon. When not in the office, Dr. Bryan enjoys sailing, hiking, mountain biking, back country skiing and wood working.

I have been a patient at EFD for many years and each and every visit has been excellent!! The front office has taken great care to tend to my dental phobia.... I am not even sure I have it any more as a result. Today I left EFD with a new front tooth that no one would ever even know I had replaced! Dr Feldman and his equally talented Assistant acted as though my route canal from when I was 16, that recently failed at 61, was their own tooth. Oh, and it was a front tooth! Every decision they made along the way is the reason I can smile again. I have lived many places and as such have had many dentists... VT has been home for the past 20 yrs and Essex Family Dental has been my dental home. I can not be any more grateful that I found my way to their beautiful clean office way back when! ....marti...

Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Lieberman and his assistant Shelby. They went way above and beyond to take care of me, despite my not even being a standing patient with them. I have a long standing deep fear of dental work, and I was experiencing pain in a tooth that was completely taking over my life. Not only did they take pity on me, and stay beyond their shifts to fix me up when I showed up with no appointment, near their closing time; they did it with a level of empathy and compassion that I had never experienced in a clinical setting. I am certain that if my earlier dental experiences were anything remotely like that one, I'd never have developed such a fear in the first place. I'd recommend Dr. Lieberman, Shelby; and by association the entire staff at Essex Family Dental to anyone at all, but particularly to those who may feel judged, scared, or in denial about the state of their teeth. Thank you. I truly don't know what I would have done without your help.

I always have a great experience when visiting EFD. I'm very nervous with dental visits and everyone makes you feel right at home. Staff from checking in, to assistants, to dentists, to checking out are all very nice, patient and compassionate. While sitting in the chair you can hear and feel the positive vibes amongst staff and they are just fantastic! Thank you for being so wonderful!

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was worried about judgement. These guys were the sweetest and most understanding people. They kept telling me that life happens and they would help get me back on track which is miles ahead of any other place I've been. The wait times were 5 minutes at most and everyone was friendly and joking around. Very positive environment.

Best dentists and hygienists AND front desk staff around. Very fair pricing, super efficient with patients' time and very willing to accommodate preferences when they can. This is a respectful and inclusive space to get your dental work done and dental health cared for. I constantly recommend them to friends/family. If you are at all uneasy at the dentist this is the place to come to.

I highly recommend this dental practice. Everyone that works here is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They really put the patient first. I'm a third of the way through my Invisalign treatment and it's going fantastic thanks to Dr. Lieberman and the rest of the EFD crew! I first started coming here when I broke a front tooth and was in a panic for dental help. I wasn't a even a patient and they got me right in and fixed my tooth immediately. Amazing care and service. Thanks again EFD!

Saw Dr.Liberman for dental emergency, he was absolutely wonderful, explained everything and made me feel very comfortable as I was pretty anxious, and the staff are very caring. Feeling so much better when I left.
