My name is Dr. Ethel Esianor-Mitchual , I am a General Dentist practicing in the Lancaster area since February 14, 2000. I attended Howard University College of Dentistry and graduated in May 1995. In addition, I attended a year of post graduate program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry. After completing my program, I relocated to the Lancaster area where I worked for two years at a health center before starting my own dental practice.
I have over 25 years of clinical/practice experience as a general dentist and have active privileges at Penn Medicine- Lancaster General Health. In February 2000, I started my own state of the art Dental practice in Lancaster. Since then, I have dedicated my time to ensure my patients receive quality dental care in a warm environment. I believe in educating my patients to develop a keen interest in their Oral Health. Additionally, I have joined the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine as a clinical associate, in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry.
My office provides comprehensive care in all areas of Dentistry, such as: Preventive and Periodontal care (Cleaning and Gum disease), Restorative care (Fillings), Removable and Fixed Prosthesis ( Implants, caps, bridges, partials, and dentures, Endodontics ( Root Canal Treatment), Oral Surgery(simple extractions) and Minor Orthodontics ( fixed and removable retainers).

Dr. Ethel is very knowledgeable, polite, listened to me and treated me like I matter. Answered all my questions. She was gentle and she helped ease my previous negative experience in a dental office disappear. I felt very safe in her care and in her office especially in this time of pandemic.

Run down office. Staff inexperienced, everyone is an intern or extern besides the dentist. The dentist had me wait 50 minutes for my appointment, took X-rays, cancelled and refused to give me a bill. Very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend to a dog on the street.

Dr Mitchual treats me like family, she's so warm and welcoming. She's always diligent about confirming appointments and has adjusted her schedule a couple times to accommodate my own. As a dentist, she's gentle and thorough. She knows her stuff, and even teaches dentistry in Philly. And most importantly, I feel safe and comfortable under her care. And the bonus is that her office is a small independent one, run entirely by a brilliant Black woman.

I have been going to Dr Mitchell for approximately 3 and 1/2 years I have no complaints she's so very kind compassionate caring and she just takes the time with you when I've had illnesses she's called to check on me see how I'm doing her staff is so friendly and kind also her son, daughter they're just family , she's always the same person I would recommend her to anybody my sister came to visit from out of town she had a dental emergency called Dr Mitchell she got her in within a day or two and took care of it. My sister even came back a couple more times to have some other work done where she wouldn't go to the dentist before she just liked her.

It was my first time going to the dentist in 4 years I was nervous but the place was spotless very clean and the staff was so professional in the way they talk to me and even with each other infact so. For the first part of my visit I thought the hygienist was my dentist she was so professional. From the time you come in until you leave they are very informative on all details pertaining to your visit they even recommended me to get a second opinion on a root canal and explained i have gum disease and how they plan to fix my teeth and made sure my insurance would cover it and if not how much i would have to pay out of pocket. Thank you.

Started treatment and billed insurance, unexpectedly stopped treatment. When requested my records, refused. When I said it was illegal to do so and I would have to contact the state, became retaliatory and said she was afraid of me... even though I have witnesses of all interactions. Then put in a complaint against me with my insurance... again even though there are witnesses to every interaction.

Contacted my insurance and followed up w/me even after they said no. Definitely someone who understands the difference between a patience and a customer in medicine.
