This time last year, I requested Dr. Esi to close my gap at age 40. I'm proud to say a year later my gaps are closed. Thanks Dr. Ejiro Esi for providing me a new beginning at 40 which has been a booster to my self esteem. Jenny B

I love educating my patients about the benefits of orthodontics, and specifically how orthodontics can improve their smile and their overall health. I am excited when a patient who is apprehensive about treatment gives me a chance to show them how orthodontics can change their lives. I love it when they begin to see the changes that are occurring during the course of treatment and begin to smile at how amazing orthodontics is.

The true reward is when a patient who never wanted to smile tells me how they cant stop smiling now that they have beautiful straight teeth. There is nothing more fulfilling than being able to transform a patients life, improving their self-confidence and self-esteem, by simply changing their smile.

I participate in continuing education so I can stay abreast of the latest techniques and the changes that are occurring in the field of orthodontics. I want to be able to provide my patients with the most up-to-date techniques to optimize treatment time and treatment results. In essence, I want to provide my patients with the highest level of care.

A resident of Washington, DC for almost 20 years, I have enjoyed the great diversity and variety of activities the community has to offer. Much of my free time is spent traveling, running, cooking, and dancing. I am happiest when enjoying simple things each day with friends and family.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

It took me 5 years to find Dr. ESI but it was worth the wait. She was the first orthodontist that worked to give me the results I wanted. I highly recommend her! As for her team, always cheerful and very helpful, even through the pandemic they all worked with me and adjusted to my changing schedule. Go team!!!

Dr. Esi and her staff are amazing! I been bringing my son here for a few months and they do a great job with communication and billing. I was very impressed with how easy it is to schedule appointments and how safe/clean it is with all the COVID precautions. I wouldn't ask for a better orthodontist for my son.

Pros: * Nice clean office * Most of the staff are nice Cons: * Bad customer service from Dr. Esi and the previous front desk staff. * Way off on length time (over one year) of treatment plan. * Unpleasant attitude from Dr. Esi. She does not like to be questioned. You must take her word on everything. If not, she will respond unprofessionally. * Does not explain the tools she uses during appointments. * Makes unprofessional facial expressions. * Can be condescending. Would have an unprofessional tone to her voice when asked about anything related to treatment plan. * One incident of Dr. Esi not completing my treatment during appointment. I returned home without my power chain and wire. I had no wire and power chain for two weeks on my bottom teeth. This occurred due to lack of communication among Dr. Esi and her staff and Dr. Esi not double checking my teeth. * Explained important information at the very last minute. April 29, 2021 was the worst visit I had with Dr. Esi. She repeatedly rolled her eyes & stormed off very angry. After returning back to the room, Dr. Esi initiated a ten minute, back and forth disagreement with me. I am positive the back-and-forth verbiage would have been longer if I did not say "I am not going to continue going back and forth with you." I never in my life experienced such unprofessionalism from anyone. Having Dr. Esi as my orthodontist has been a nightmare. 4/30/2021 8:43am In response to Dr. Esi's statement, you were only half way into the treatment plan before the pandemic began. Which is why it took an additional seven or eight months to complete the treatment plan after you reopened your office. At the two year mark, you became rude after I questioned you on when my treatment plan will be completed. You do recall apologizing to me right? You dropped the ball and apologized for underestimating the length of time of my treatment plan. You lack professionalism and class which is why you miserably fail at providing high quality customer service. Again, rolling eyes, storming off and having temper tantrums is not high quality of customer service. Lastly, I notice the last sentence of your statement. Are you refusing to see me in six months for a follow up of my permeant and clear retainer?

So since I parted ways with this business I asked Ms.Esi to remove my location from on Google. However, what I will say is they didn't take me back on as a client due to a review I posted which the reception brought up to me but their "reason" was due to covid and me traveling back after waiting a week to say so. I told her I felt review was valid since I was just asking for clarification on something on invoice instead she saidwhat was I looking for because they aren't giving me any money back ( immediately defensive). Can't force people to give you 5 star. it takes nothing to be kind.
