I hold a PhD in Medical Genetics with specialty in Cranio-facial genetics. As a geneticist, I saw many children with facial defects involving cleft lip/palate, facial and craniofacial malformations/deficiencies, and my role was to refer them for care. I wanted to be involved in their treatment rather than being a passive observer, Oral Maxillofacial surgery allows me to be directly involved in their treatment.

This place is money hungry. I paid consultation fees and money upfront when I had a tooth removed. Then 5 months later they send me a bill saying my insurance didn't pay them. Avoid this place at all costs and I will never go back again.

Dr was great but be aware of his billing department. Advised Lisa the cost of my daughters procure was not affordable so she told me she would call my insurance and get the exact amount due. Later that day she called with the amount which was in my price range. We scheduled the procedure and 2 months later I got a bill for another $1,900. Her story has changed 2 times and now I am stuck with the bill. She never spoke with anyone from my insurance because they have no record of it. Please BEWARE of her!! Will never go back.

I went in to get a consult. Very cocky and rude. Didnt take my pain seriously, called weeks later to see if they had sent off the nessesary infomation for my approval for insurance, took months to send it off. Now that its approved I have yet to hear anything from the facility. Very unprofessional

A shame because the doctor is a true professional. Unfortunately he is surrounded by people who intend to lie to you and squeeze you financially to the max.

The most knowledgeable compassionate friendly dr or surgeon I have ever been too. And I have seen a lot over the past few years. His vast experience in being in charge of several army hospitals shows he is the real deal I will never go to any other oral surgeon wish I had been referred to him for my wisdom teeth removal. Thank you so much dr Escobar.

I had bad anxiety about getting my bottom wisdom teeth removed for years. I read horror stories all over the internet and kept putting it off. I finally decided to get it done through Dr. Escobar. The initial consultation was short and sweet. The procedure itself happened in the morning a couple weeks later. I filled out some paperwork when I arrived and was brought to the operating room. The anesthesiologist was super nice and had me under in a couple of minutes. I was completely unaware for the whole operation and woke up back on my couch. I truly did not experience pain during my recovery and recovered much quicker than I had expected. I had no nerve damage from the procedure and was back eating soft solid foods the next week. I would highly recommend anyone to go to Dr. Escobar. Personally, I didn't have any issues with the billing specialist as some other reviews have said. I'm also pretty sure they hired a new billing specialist since those reviews because I had received a call a few weeks after my surgery from their new billing specialist about insurance coverage. They mentioned during the call that the previous specialist was no longer there.

I echo some of the comments and reviews from others regarding insurance, front desk staff, and feeling rushed at consults. Dr. Escobar is talented and the wisdom teeth removal ran smoothly, but he rushed through my consult and didn't make space for me to ask questions; I was quoted wrong for insurance and they filed with different codes than they originally got approved, costing me an additional $450; and the front desk staff never followed up with me after the procedure (even when I called with questions and issues with the surgical site). If I am reviewing the procedure alone, it went very smoothly and I had minimal pain, but I didn't see or talk to Dr. Escobar on procedure day and didn't have a chance to ask questions. I was very frustrated with being told that the procedure would be covered by insurance based on them calling my insurance with codes and quotes for the procedure and then they changed the codes they used for the procedure which changed what my insurance covered. Additionally, they never followed up post-procedure to check in and when I called with questions about my sutures and potential infection at the surgical site, they never returned my phone call, even though I called twice and left my phone number both times. I also called multiple times to update my address when I moved and they never updated my address, so bills and any communication were going to the wrong location.

Staff was very friendly and put me at ease. Dr. Escobar did seem a little rushed during the consult, but overall was a very great experience. It was my first time having oral surgery and being put under. They did a great job of answering my questions and making the experience smooth and nearly painless. Even though they were out of network for my insurance, I still found the rates reasonable for everything they did. Would definitely recommend.

Got two front upper teeth pulled. Getting the shots in my mouth for anesthesia was worst of any other dental procedure. Excruciating. Still felt pain when teeth being pulled. Nice guy. Staff ok. Never again. Then 4 months later his office sends me another bill. This after i payed 3 times what normal oral surgeons cost. Terribly expensive. Go to Crawfordsville, indiana and save 400.00

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Escobar. He was kind and put me at ease, but when speaking with him for the consultation and before the surgery, it felt like he was rushing to get to the next patient. Because one tooth was near a nerve, he said I could get another scan to give him a better view of the nerve. I felt unqualified to make this kind of decision on my safety, and unsure if an extra scan was worth the huge expense, but decided to do it anyway because I wasn't given a clear answer on whether it was really important or not. The procedure itself went well. During the following week of recovery, I started having blurred vision (a potentially serious side effect of corticosteroids, called ocular hypertension or steroid-induced glaucoma), so I called the office to ask if I could stop taking them. The nurse surprisingly said she'd never heard of that side effect, but spoke with Dr. Escobar who advised me to stop taking them immediately. Before the surgery, I had spoken with the billing specialist several times, and was assured of the total cost estimate based on what our insurance told her they would cover for this procedure, which matched that for in-network providers. I paid this amount on the day of the procedure. However, many months after my surgery the office mailed an additional bill for TWICE the amount I had paid on the day of the procedure, stating that our insurance had denied the claim. The billing specialist never informed us that they were out-of-network, and led us to believe that insurance was expected to pay the remaining balance. I made a mistake in trusting Dr. Escobar's office on their status with my insurance, as they misled me by ensuring that our insurance would cover most of the procedure for an in-network provider, knowing all the while that they were out-of-network. Had I known that my bill would be about three times the amount I was told, and that I would be pressured into expensive "optional" extra imaging, I would have chosen another provider. Learning from my mistake, I recommend double or triple-checking that your provider is actually in-network (regardless of what they tell you). The quality of care here was good, but miscommunication and lack of transparency TRIPLED my bill in the end, so I do not recommend this provider.

My wisdom teeth were very infected and I was in unbearable amounts of pain from swelling, fever, etc despite the antibiotics that I was on for this issue. Dr. Escobar saw me quickly, and had me in for surgery at 8am the next morning. I popped in the chair and they put me out and when I woke up I was COMPLETELY pain free despite being short 4 teeth. It's been one full day without my wisdom teeth and I feel great! These people are absolute life-savers and I'm very grateful they were able to help me out! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

The front desk representative Jasmine was very polite and professional, but couldn't answer alot of the questions I had. There office is very nice and welcoming they offer beverages. Based off the first appointment I was referred for wisdom teeth extraction. I had the first "new patient consultation" It was very quick and he knew right away what the issue was and what needed to be done. He was done in less than 10 minutes with the consultation I felt a little rushed because I didn't get all the questions I had answered without him trying to move on to the next client. The next appointment was the day of the surgery. I was still very nervous but the nurse was very friendly and super nice! She explained what medicine she would give to calm me down to put me to sleep. I didn't get a chance to talk with Dr Escobar before the surgery but he was done with the surgery in about an hour and they wheeled me out with my husband once they were done. After the surgery I never received a call or email to check on my recovery process or even a follow up apt. I was seen 6 days ago. I was shocked! I guess patient follow ups are not apart of their agenda which was an issue to me and i expressed that concern at the appointment. Based off the surgery Dr Escobar is fast and knows what he is doing .

I had an absolutely positive experience with the entire staff. The staff is very knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is wonderful. The decor is very trendy and the waiting room is very comfortable. They have complimentary coffee and bottled water. Most importantly, Dr. Escobar is wonderful.he was extremely attentive and very good and explaining my condition and giving treatment options. What he suggested worked well and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this practice!!!
