Dr. Greenfield earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1999. He completed a one-year general practice residency at The Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. During his training there, he focused on comprehensive care, treating patients who were medically compromised.
Dr. Greenfield received his Fellowship in The Academy of General Dentistry in 2006. The Fellowship 'symbolizes a dentist 's commitment to the professional responsibility incurred upon entering the dental profession, that is, to maintain knowledge and skills at the highest possible level, and to continue the education process uninterrupted.' As well as being a certified Invisalign provider, Dr. Greenfield 's continual educational experiences has sent him to Seattle to partake in a one-week didactic and clinical program at the Kois Center. The Kois Center 's mission statement: 'Enabling motivated dentists to achieve extraordinary results, expanding knowledge and application skills in restorative dentistry.'
When patients begin their journey with our office, they can be reassured that the combined 40 years of experience of our hygiene department will enable a great first step to optimum oral health. At this first visit a comprehensive medical history will be taken in order to maximize our understanding of your overall health and how it relates to your oral health. Because we understand dental treatment is a personal process we welcome our patients to discuss any concerns or reservations about dental care.
Once all your questions have been answered, we will begin our diagnostic process with digital radiographs. These digital films help the dentists visualize the teeth and surrounding oral structures that cannot be seen with a simple oral examination. Our hygiene staff will then gently clean and educate you on your dental condition. We will discuss any oral care issues you might have and enlighten you on any interactions with your current medicines and how they affect your dental health. The doctors will welcome themselves and begin their exam process.If needed, treatment will be scheduled or time will be set aside to return to discuss any recommended care.
