My issue with Eric Swainston was that he tends to over treat. I believe that the crown and other treatments was not entirely necessary. He was recommended by a friend so I had reasons to trust Swainston. But for a number of reasons, I highly suspect he puts profit above. If you do feel like he is suggesting too many services, pause and reconsider. And definitely get a second opinion. I don't usually give reviews but I wanted to highlight this, since dentists who put profit above should not really be in the business.

Dr. Swainston and his staff were so kind and professional. They all went out of their way to make every visit scheduled a positive experience. Dr. Swainston provided a gentle pain free experience each visit. Thank you, to you and your staff!!

Dr Swainston is the best! He truly cares about his patients, thoroughly explains procedures and treatments, ensures proper safety protocols and provides excellent dental outcomes. From dental cleaning, treatment and cosmetic fixes, Dr Swainston has definitely improved my smile. His staff is knowledgeable, friendly and provides the utmost service in scheduling appointments, working with insurance and dental cleaning. I would highly recommend Dr Swainston for any dental needs!!

I 100% recommend! They go above and beyond to provide you the care you need. I have never felt any discomfort with my treatments. The staff is very personable and respectful. If you are in the market for a new dentist or are unsatisfied with your current one I urge you to contact them for an appointment.

Eric Swainston is a true professional. I have always felt that I am being taken care of when I come in to his office. From reception, to his staff, to the man himself, it is truly an A1 experience. There is no area of his practice that he compromises on. I have bounced around from dentists to dentist over the years and I would travel far out of my way (and I do travel far out of my way) to have him do my work. Thank you Dr. Swainston!

What a find!! Finally a dental office that is interested in the patient and not their wallet. Dr. Swainston is so caring and explains every detail of every procedure and not once have I ever felt any discomfort. My crown turned out flawless and looks so natural. I encourage you if you live in the area or are seeking a new dentist to call them!!

Dr. Swainston is the best! I was referred by a friend that's been seeing him for 15 years. After coming from a dental chop shop that tried selling me multiple treatments I didn't need it's a relief to be at a dental office that genuinely cares about you. The office is super clean, they don't make you wait and Dr. Swainston just recommends treatment that you need. I've referred several friends as well as my brother here since my first visit and everyone loves this office. I'm a patient here for life! Dr. Swainston please don't ever retire!

I moved to Orange County a little over a year ago and had not seen a dentist since my move. For me, choosing the right dentist is very personal and important decision. Dr. Swainston was highly recommended by a friend and I can see why. Everybody at the office is very warm and welcoming. His hygienists are very professional, very informative and very good at what they do. You can tell they really care about your dental wellness. Clearly, this come from the top. Dr. Swainston is the best dentist I've seen and I've seen a lot, admittedly. He, too, is very informative, explaining everything he is doing along the way and what needs to be done in the future. I've never had a dentist give me an option of the type of crown I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Swainston.

Dr. Swainston is a highly skilled professional with a keen attention to detail. I know that I can depend on his work to be of the finest quality, which is very important to me. I completely trust him with my dental care, and feel totally at ease in the friendly atmosphere of his office.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Swainston for over 15 years maybe 20 years. I felt that for the most part we had a good relationship with him and the office staff. On a personal note with my own journey dental wise, I've had five surgeries done on the front part of my mouth during 35 years. Unfortunately, I found myself with a loose front tooth from my dental implant. Naturally, I was upset. I called the dental office hoping to see the dentist whom was out of town for the weekend. They have an on-call emergency dentist which I was hoping that if I had a situation would I be able to see him, I was told no. He won't see you due to COVID. Then why be an emergency dentist if he will not be taking patients? What if my tooth came out over the weekend, I was told to go to CVS pharmacy and buy cement and do it myself. Until then I can come in on Monday to see the dentist. Laurel has been working with Dr. Swainston since I can remember. When I spoke to her about this I felt that there was no empathy, no bedside manner and no compassion. Even my husband was surprised over the conversation I had with her when he was listening. That is what I felt and instead of expressing to me that it will be OK we have your back don't worry about it, instead I receive the opposite. That is my personal opinion and my feelings. Whether or not that is what she intended. When I came in on the office that Monday, I wanted to let both Dr. Swainston and Laurel know where was coming from. I wasn't mad, or insulting, I was just upset. As soon as I open my mouth to express my feelings on what I felt on Friday, I was immediately cut off told to shut my mouth, that I was a liar and get out of my office. That the emergency doctor does not work for you, which was not what I was trying to say. Since I was not able to get a word in edgewise. I was also told I was the worst patient ever. If that was the case, why bother having me as a patient at all? Does anyone see the irony here? During the years that I have attended this office, anytime I have been upset and expressed any displeasure to the doctor or his staff has always been due to my front teeth problem. Now to be fair I know dental implants are not his specialties, but crowns are and to be spoken to by him in this manner has been upsetting to say the least. He has lost my family and I due to his abrupt and unprofessional behavior. I told Laurel she could have apologized but she felt that she has nothing to be sorry for. I believe that teeth are a very important and personal part of a person. And I know that I have spent thousands of dollars on mine. I believe that we have been loyal customers to this office. To continue on with the story, my tooth did end up breaking off on Tuesday morning and I ended up seeing an implant specialist for an emergency. I did try to put cement in my mouth as it was recommended by Laurel. The doctor said whoever told you to do that does not know what they're talking about, that's not what it is for because it did not work. And the doctor told me that everyone will be out of the office during the holidays, if I do have an emergency do not hesitate to call and someone will be available to help you out. That to me that is what great customer service is!

My family has been going to Dr. Swainston's practice for as long as I can remember. I found him after essentially firing my last three dentists, all of which I wouldn't now let them work under the hood of my car, let alone my mouth. The entire staff is not only kind, smart and reliable, but also extremely skilled. If you're looking for a great dentist and you want it to be the last time you ever have to look, I suggest contacting Dr. Swainston and his team!
