Dr. Eric Kirk was born and raised in Santa Maria, California. Immediately upon graduation from Righetti High School he attended Fresno State University where he graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in Zoology/Biology. He then attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree - again graduating with honors. In 1986, upon completing his academic and clinical training, he returned to his hometwon, Santa Maria, to begin his private practice in general and cosmetic dentist.
Dr. Kirk and his family are natives of the Santa Maria area. He is proud to raise his two sons, Daniel and Michael, here in the town where he grew up. He spends his personal time nurturing his relationships with his family and friends. Dr. Kirk thinks of his staff as an extended family, his genuine interest in and appreciation of them is clearly reflected by their long term employment. Lynne, his office manager, has been with him since the beginning of his career and both of his hygienists have been with him for since 1999.
Dr. Kirks free-time activities revolve around the shooting sports. One of the highlights of his shooting career has been representing the state of California as part of the California High Power Rifle Team, as well as earning the Distinguished Rifleman's Badge and earning his President's 100 Badge. Eric enjoys doing some gunsmithing of his own in support of his shooting hobbies. He also enjoys desert camping and riding his off road vehicles. He recently re-built a Volkswagen with his oldest son and he actively supports his younger sons interest in skateboarding and hunting.
Hello, my name is Lynne Maretti and I am Dr. Kirks Office Manager. I am a Registered Dental Assistant and have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I attended Allan Hancock College where I received my dental assisting certificate, coronal polishing and X-ray license. I took the California State Board written exam and clinical exam to receive my Registered Dental Assisting license. I began my dental career with Dr. Paul Nazario in 1974. I continued working for him until 1986, when Dr. Kirk graduated from dental school and bought the dental practice from Dr. Nazario. So as you can see, I have known many wonderful people over the years, and consider many of our patients as friends and family. I still enjoy the dental field today as I did when I first began my career, as I have seen many new and exciting advancements in dentistry over the years. Thank you for choosing Dr. Kirk for your dental care and placing your trust in us for your dental needs. I look forward to meeting you soon!!
Hello, my name is Jenny Stetz. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I attended Taft Dental Hygiene Program and graduated in 1997. As soon as I completed the National and State Boards for California, I began working for Dr. Kirk. Working for Dr. Kirk since 1997 has been wonderful. I enjoy working with patients on a regular basis to educate them about their periodontal health and see their progress. The best part of my job is easing the fears of young children during their first visit and making it fun for them. With each visit we see their confidence in us build. It is nice to see them mature into young adults over the years.
