We understand the anxiety that going to the dentist can bring upon patients, however, at our office your comfort, convenience, and safety is our number one priority. From the moment you walk into our office, our goal is to help you and your family. You will feel instantly welcome and comfortable and our friendly team is always more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Our office was originally built by Dr. John Ishizuka in 1958. Dr. Brown is only the 3rdDentist to practice in this building in 54 years and proudly continues the tradition of providing dental care to our Monterey Peninsula residents.

Our office is equipped with digital x-rays, which give the doctor and patient the ability to view dental structures many times larger than with the previous x-ray technology and with much less radiation, no waiting for developing films, thus speeding up the dental visit for the patient.

We have conventional intra-oral digital cameras to allow the patient to see what we are seeing, as well as facilitate communication with specialists and dental laboratories. These tools are great for evaluating and displaying before and after results.

We communicate electronically with insurance companies to speed up the process of giving accurate treatment plan estimates as well as speedy insurance reimbursement. Patients have the option to receive communication by email or text message for those who prefer this means of communication in order to provide the most convenience.

Dr. Brown & his team believe that it all starts with high quality. Everyone wants dental work that is going to last and give them years of service. We believe in continuing education so we can learn the best techniques and use the best materials. We don't cut corners and we don't do anything we wouldn't do on ourselves.

As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide dental health care vs. disease care. Thats why we focus on thorough exams checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease.

Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Dr. Eric Brown graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After practicing in Wisconsin and Southern California, Dr. Brown was excited to relocate to the Monterey Peninsula. He has a wonderful way of explaining to patients their treatment needs, and is fully committed to delivering the highest quality care available in a gentle and caring manner. He believes in giving people the most naturally beautiful smile through the use of modern materials and techniques.

Dr. Brown is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Academy of LDS dentists, and the Monterey Bay Dental Society. He serves on the governing board of the Monterey Bay Dental Society helping to serve local dentists. In 2018 he serves as the President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society. He is also a teaching mentor for Dr. Gordon Christensens Practical Clinical Courses which teaches other dentists the latest techniques and materials. He is also a product evaluator for Clinicians Report, a non-profit group that evaluates and publishes on dental products.

Dr. Brown was raised in Whittier, CA and now resides with his family in Carmel Valley. He and his wife Josie have three children (Ethan, Cohen, and Harper). As a family they enjoy biking, camping, snow skiing and traveling. They also actively participate in the Bay Area Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF). They love living and raising their children on the Monterey Peninsula.

Dr. Nate Ward is a general dentist who is originally from Springville Utah. He attended Brigham Young University before going to the University of California San Francisco for Dental School. During school in San Francisco Dr. Ward was introduced to surfing which is his favorite pastime. He enjoys surfing locally in Santa Cruz and on the Peninsula. Dr. Ward and his wife Kim have three boys and one daughter so when he is not working or surfing he is enjoying time with his family.

Dr. Ward has the same treatment philosophy and style as Dr. Brown and we think you will really enjoy getting to know him. When Dr. Ward is in the office you will continue to see all the friendly faces you have come to know. He is gentle, kind, and a very skilled Dentist. He has worked closely with Dr. Brown to make sure the level of treatment you have received in our office will continue. We are so lucky to have him on our team.

Vicki was born and raised on the central coast. Vicki has been in the dental field for 22 years. She started as a dental assistant in 1998 and in 2000 received her Registered Dental Assistant. She has been with Dr. Brown for over 6 years now. In her free time she enjoys spending with her family. She and her husband Paul, their daughter Samantha, and son Benny love life here on the Peninsula. As a family they enjoy trips to the lake, movies, a variety of sports, and family nights.

Lyane was born in Southern California and moved to the central coast 12 years ago. Lyane received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from California State University of Stanislaus in 2015. Lyane has been in the dental field for nine years. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and family. Lyane is currently expecting her first bundle of joy.

Brittney was born and raised on the central coast. She has been with Dr. Brown since 2018, but has been in the dental field for eight years now. Brittneys passion for dentistry developed at a young age after idolizing her late mother (a dental office manager for over 15 years.) When Brittney is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys baking and attending sporting events. Some of her recent hobbies include gardening. She has two dogs, Rocky and Honey.

Cindy was raised in the Bay Area and relocated to the central coast 10 years ago. Cindy has been in the dental field for over 40 years.She received her Registered Dental Assistant in 1977, and has been in the dental field ever since. Her life is filled with joy with her two children and grandson. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Amy was born and raised in Pacific Grove. She has been in the dental field since 1999. She started as a Registered Dental Assistant, then decided to further her dental education and received her AAS in Dental Hygiene in 2011 from Cabrillo College. She is passionate about helping patients with their homecare and giving you a gentle but thorough cleaning. When Amy is not practicing dental hygiene, she enjoys spending time with her kids. Some of her favorite hobbies include camping, riding dirt bikes, cooking and gardening. Amy loves her hot sauce.

Jennifer was raised on a farm in Chowchilla. She moved to the central coast in 2008. She received her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Fresno City College in 2001. She loves getting to know her patients and being able to educate them about their oral health. When Jennifer is not practicing dental hygiene, she enjoys watching sports, teaching group fitness classes and caring for her house plants. She has four kids, Stevie, Zac, Brynn, and Evan.

Kellye was born and raised in Monterey. She has been in the dental field for ten years. She started as a dental assistant in 2011, then decided to further her education and received her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Cabrillo College in 2019. She loves getting to know her patients. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog Ollie. She enjoys going to the gym and the local beaches.

Rocio was born and raised on the central coast. Rocio has been in the dental field since 2006. In 2013, Rocio decided to further her education and earn her Extended Functions II licensure from the University of Pacific, San Francisco. As an RDAEF II, Rocio is now licensed to assist Dr. Brown in providing top-notch dental treatment on an extended scale. Rocios favorite part of working in the dental field is being able to help patients improve their oral health and building friendships. Rocio has been with Dr. Brown for seven years. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her son JJ. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, road trips, trying new restaurants, and going for walks on the beach.

Iris was born in Arizona on the Airforce base. Iris comes from a large family. She has 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her and her family relocated to the central coast about 25 years ago and loved the area and decided to stay. Iris has been with Dr. Brown since 2018, but she has been in the dental field since 2013. She completed the Dental Assistant program from Monterey Peninsula College. She is especially gifted with a soothing, comforting, chairside manner and has a natural ability to put patients at ease while educating and explaining procedures. During her free time, she enjoys teaching group fitness classes, spending time with family and two dogs, Moose and Baily. One of her favorite hobbies is hiking and backpacking in the mountains.
