Dr. Erela Katz Rappaport grew up in New York City and attended State University of New York at Binghamton, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She then continued on to receive her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Rappaport worked in dental practices in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. While in private practice, Dr. Rappaport conducted research in a various areas of dentistry including a technique to remove decay through chemical means. She also was instrumental in setting up a dental implant registry for the Office of Veterans Affairs.
Dr. Rappaport came to San Diego in 1991. She has two sons, Jonathan and Brandon. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rappaport is an avid gardener as well as enjoying traveling with friends and family. She is passionate about supporting organizations that empower and educate women in need of assistance.
Dr. Jennifer Schlesinger grew up in Delaware where she earned her bachelors degree from the University of Delaware and masters degree from Wilmington University. She then graduated summa cum laude from dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After dental school, she served as a general dentist in the United States Army. She completed one year of advanced dental training (AEGD) in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She was then lucky enough to serve the Army in the beautiful states of Hawaii and Colorado. After five years of honorable service, she left the Army and gained specialty training in endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Within her endodontic specialty, Dr. Schlesinger provides root canal treatment as well as treatment for other diseases and problems within the root systems of teeth. A few examples include dental trauma, tooth resorption, and root canal retreatment. She prides herself not only in her clinical skills, but in making her patients feel comfortable during their visits.

Christina is a California native, who has lived in Poway since 1982. She has worked in dentistry for 15 years, and particularly enjoys interacting with patients and working with the staff. In her spare time, Christina loves spending time with her children and granddaughters. She also enjoys watching football, especially the Chargers. Christina is part of the Spanish worship team at her church that helps others in their times of need.
Richell was born and raised in San Diego. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine, where she focused on studio and digital arts. Richell studied oral hygiene at the San Joaquin Valley College, receiving an Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. In recognition of her excellence, she received the Colgate Oral Health Advisor S.T.A.R. award an award for total achievement. During her free time, Richell likes to do arts and crafts, serve at her church, travel, and spend time with friends and family. She enjoys being a dental hygienist and takes great satisfaction in providing her patients with excellent oral health care and educating them about dental hygiene.
Cora has worked in the dental field for the past 20 years. During the first 15 years of her career, she was a Registered Dental Assistant. Then she decided to go back to school to become a Dental Hygienist. Her hard work paid off, as she has been successfully and happily working in her new position as Hygienist. Cora has also been able to find a balance between work, family, and personal interests. She loves her work because she knows that she is helping patients obtain the best oral health care.
Esmeralda first came to our office three years ago as a trainee from her dental assisting program andhas been with us ever since. Esmeralda loves learning new subjects in dentistry and implementing themto help our patients live healthier lives. When not at work, Esmeralda coaches her brothers soccerteam and loves spending as much time as possible with her daughter.

Updated 10/2022 Had another pleasant visit. Richell has been very thorough and patient cleaning my teeth, as she always does. Thanks! Updated 5/2021 Just had a dental filling for two problematic teeth performed by Dr. Rappaport. The entire procedure was smooth without any pain. And as a patient I witnessed doctor's high level of skills and masterfulness of the filling work being done. When I later took a closer look at the treated teeth, I can hardly tell the filled area, they look super nice. Initial Review from 2019 I'd say this is by far the best practice I have ever visited since I started seeing dentists for regular cleaning and periodontal treatment. Dr. Rappaport has the kind of deep knowledge, rigor and patience every patient would hope to get. My dental issues pointed out by her was spot-on. I also much appreciate hygienist Richell's work for being thorough, gentle and careful. My teeth felt so much refreshed after her cleaning. And, she spent time educating me on not only how to maintain healthy teeth, but also its impact on body's overall health and wellness. When I initially made an appointment as a new patient, it took more than a month to get in, but it turns out to be a very worthwhile wait.

I've been a patient of Dr. Erela Rappaport for about 2 years now and always know that I am in the best of care. The team is professional, friendly, and really care about dental health and health in general. I've had a couple of work done (cavities, crown, etc.) and have appreciated Dr. Erela's patience in answering all of my questions and concerns.

Rarely do people get a chance to say it was a good experience going to the Dentist. This office was EXCEPTIONAL. I was greeted with professional and knowledgeable staff that made filling out the paperwork easy! My hygienist was thorough with my cleaning, and made what would normally be uncomfortable go by much quicker with her efficiency and experience. The Doctor was very precise with her exam, and was crystal clear with what I needed to get done and what my next steps would be. I left this office feeling like I was on track with my dental health. Thank you for the excellent care and for the 5-star service!

I had two old crowns removed, the teeth underneath repaired, two new crowns built, installed, and fitted into my partial denture. All done efficiently, painlessly, in one afternoon in a relatively short period of time. The new crowns fit perfectly.

On my first visit I was totally impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the front office staff. I met with Dr Rappaport and was completely impressed with her gentle demeanor. She was very professional and put me completely at ease when speaking to me regarding my dental health. The dental hygienist Rochelle was awesome as well. She explained in detail what she doing and was very gentle. It is so comforting that we found this dental practice after getting the runaround and miss information from other offices. A special that you to Jeanie and Christina, you are awesome. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone who has had a bad experience elsewhere.

Like most people, I don't like going to the dentist. However when I found Dr. Rappaport the experience has been outstanding. My husband and I have been going to for the past 18 years, our kids go to her and they have no complaints. We absolutely love her and her staff. The overall care goes beyond just taking car of your dental health. The team is truly invested in you. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Such great and thorough care. I am so happy that I found this Dr. Rappaport. Every hygienist I've had there has also been so gentle and yet I walk out of there knowing I've gotten an amazing cleaning. Fantastic front desk help also. I've recommended to a couple friends already who moved to the area asking for a new dentist.
