Since 1987, Dr. Thomas W. Epps has been providing children and adults with exceptional orthodontic care. Dr. Epps was educated through the Fort Mill school system and graduated from Fort Mill High School. After graduating, he attended Clemson University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Before starting dental school, he worked shifts at Bowater Paper Mill for three years. He then obtained his Doctorate of Medicinal Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dentistry. While at MUSC, Dr. Epps was chosen to be a teacher's assistant, helping teach anatomy to dental students. Dr. Epps was ranked No. 1 in his dental class, received the Oral Pathology award and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After his time at MUSC, Dr. Epps completed an orthodontic residency program at the University of Florida.

Dr. Epps feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of orthodontics. Thus, he strives to continue his education by attending orthodontic seminars, reviewing current dental/orthodontic literature and reading and researching the latest and constant-changing orthodontic technology.

Dr. Epps also maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association and the Tri-County Dental Association. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Away from the office, Dr. Epps enjoys giving back to his local community by sponsoring youth sports in Rock Hill and Fort Mill. He is the past president of the Rock Hill Baseball Committee and currently oversees Rock Hill Fall Baseball League, also known as Dr. Epps' Fall Baseball League.

A lot of back and forth. They don't answer the phones ever and I've had to leave several messages to get information on my chart sent over to insurance, and it literally took them 2 weeks to finally reach back out to tell me insurance would not cover it. I called the insurance and they tell me they have no record of ortho ever reaching out to them. After I call back to give them info the insurance company gave me, they set me up for an appointment at one of their locations that is not opened on the day of appoinment. I definitely would not recommend them. I don't know if they are short staffed and are struggling or they are just completely discriminating but it should not take several calls for 2 weeks for someone to get a response for anything. A waste of time dealing with them. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
