If you dont know you are not alone. Prosthodontists say they are asked that question almost every day. A simple description might be a Port Orange dentist on steroids or, as the University of Michigans Dental School puts it, Prosthodontists are the quarterbacks of dental treatment plans.
One of nine specialties recognized by the American Dental Association, prosthodontists are pretty much the top of the dental food chain. Becoming a prosthodontist not only requires a traditional four-year dental degree but also an intense three additional years of postgraduate work.
They treat complex problems including dental implants, custom made complete and removable partials and dentures, replacing lost teeth, dealing with the special needs of geriatric patients, treating children born with cleft palates or missing teeth, custom-building prosthetics as well as dealing with sleep disorders such as apnea and excessive snoring.
Dr. Bowers is a prosthodontist. She obtained her Doctorate from the University of Florida which included an One-year Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). The challenging cases Dr. Bowers was exposed to that year started her passion for implant dentistry and intra-oral surgery and led to several more years of schooling.
She attended a 36-month course and obtained her Masters Degree and Specialty in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry. After that she attended school as a full-time resident at University of Florida Periodontology specialty and master program, dedicating thousands of hours to the care of advanced periodontal disease cases, periodontal surgery, transplantation of tissues of the mouth and fine tuning her knowledge in dental implantology.
I did it for my patients. Just remember that before being a dentist I am also a patientand I promise to provide my patients the dentistry I would like to have in my own mouth or of my loved ones..So I always put myself in my patients shoes and treat everyone as if they are a family member.
Dr. Bowers truly enjoys treating her patients and is known for her friendly and welcoming demeanor. As a Port Orange dentist, compassion is one of her best attributes. When she is away from the office, she is 100% mom for her little boys. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, fishing, spending time on the beach, exercising and being outdoors.

The staff at this dental office are sweet, kind and professional. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. I would recommend anyone who needs their teeth cleaned and maintenances to register with them asap as appointments can be limited due to availability. Many people enjoy this dentist and her staff.

I have been afraid of dentist my whole life. When I went to Envision right from the start I could tell this was different and I started to relax. The professionalism was consistent from start to finish. Detailed cleaning with great info on how to do it better. The doctor had a calming voice and was a straight to the point professional. I am so looking forward to hopefully having these experts repair my teeth once and for all. All I am waiting for is the VA to authorize my care. Back for my next step in repair and replace of my teeth. Such a smooth and professional experience. The technician was very knowledgeable and addressed all my concerns. They work hand in hand with each other which makes my experience a very good one! The highest recommendation for them!

I was referred to Envision Dental by the Veterans Affairs Community Healthcare System. They helped me with the process. Everyone there on the team are super nice and professional in all respects. The Dentist Dr. Bowers explicitly explained both diagnosis and treatment plan. 1st appointment: - good impression overall. Clean office, modern equipment, thorough exam from the dentist, smooth scheduling 2nd appointment: - The hygienist was very informative, professional and efficient. - The dentist took time, was not rushed and was very detail oriented with my teeth She was able to figure out my bite alignment problem and skillfully worked to fix it. Thank you Envision dental and Dr Bowers! Technology: - It is really great that I could see zoomed pictures of my teeth on the big screen TV - I was impressed with the hygienist digitally recording my perio chart Overall I would recommend this practice! I'll update my review after more appointments

Amazing staff! From the moment you walk into the office to the moment you walk out you are treated like royalty. The work is amazing. If you have apprehension and fear of going to the "dentist" you don't need to.

I've gone to the dentist for over 40 years and Envision Dental is the best. Savanna made my experience enjoyable. Not many people can say that about a visit to the dentist. When the doctor came in to see me, that was the "Icing on the cake ". The doctor welcomed me as if I was royalty. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. The facility was very clean, morden, and relaxing. Everyone seemed so excited about their job. I just can't imagine going anywhere else, but Envision Dental. Thank you Envision Dental!

Thank goodness, I found Dr. Bowers and her wonderful team when I had a dental emergency and ended up needing a bone graft and implants. Dr. Bowers realized how scared I was from childhood dental trauma and treated me like family to keep me at ease. She is absolutely the best dentist ever and her staff couldn't be nicer. I have had several appointments with Dr Bowers including several crowns post base of tongue cancer. She and her staff are absolutely the best I ever could have had complete my dental work! I am a veteran, referred to by the VA. I couldn't be happier with their kindness, the results and my confidence that I will be able to maintain great dental hygiene throughout the rest of my life. Anyone who has any dental procedures done with Dr. Bowers will be very happy with their results and her gentle treatment. All of her assistants are just very kind and always very pleasant.
