I am more and more impressed with my experience at enlightenDental. I had been diagnosed with sleep apnea many years ago and my wife has complained of my snoring and told me that I stop breathing at times during the night. She even has to turn me over some night to stop my snoring. This has caused my wife many sleepless nights, which makes me feel terrible. Since meeting Dr. Blackwell and her staff, we've developed a plan to help me with my sleep apnea. Dr. Blackwell determined that my airways are narrowed which forces me to breath from my mouth instead of my nose - and mouth breathing induces snoring. I wear appliances which helps my mouth assume its more natural position and now I don't snore; I wake up more rested and refreshed; and my wife has been sleeping so good since I started wearing the appliances that she states that she's dreaming far more often now which is an indication of REM sleep. The first night of this procedure I slept better than babies. A week later and my wife and I are sleeping better and waking up more energized. Thanks to God that I found Dr. Blackwell and her staff. They're continuing to educate me on my quest to learn more about how diet affects all of health and it starts in the mouth. I started reading a few years ago how to help myself nutritionally to receive and maintain optimal health and reading The Dental Diet, which was suggested by Dr. Blackwell and her staff is a book that I cannot put down. Please enlightenDental keep educating your patients on helping themselves to achieve and maintain optimal health.

My experience with enlightenDental has been very educational. They focus on my whole health and not just my teeth and gums. Dr. Blackwell and her staff is very thorough in explaining all details of my procedure. This is the most knowledge that any doctor whether dentist or general practitioner has shared with me in partnering with me in providing a holistic approach to my overall health.

From the very first phone call (there were a few!) to the very last question (there were many!) at our first appointment, we felt welcomed and encouraged by the entire staff at enlightenDENTAL. The treatment plans evidently targeted toward whole body wellness are broad yet direct as Dr Blackwell and her vivacious crew mates educate and guide the entire process to find the most valuable answers for our needs. We are so grateful to have found our permanent home for full dental care.

It was my first time there all the staff was friendly and I had a 5 star experience there I loved it every one was welcoming hands on and the doctor was so nice and sweet she explained everything she was about to do I never had a dental experience like it I loved it I recommend this dentist 5stars

Highly recommend Dr. Blackwell and her team. They genuinely care about your needs and take their time with you. I also like that they assess your dental health along with airway and breathing issues for a more holistic approach.

I've been to enlightenDENTAL a few times now and one of the things that stands out to me is the way Dr. Jimani treats her staff. She's always uplifting them, always speaking positively of them, always building them up. I think that speaks to the kind of practice enlightenDENTAL is and it translates into how I'm treated as a patient. I feel taken care of. I feel positive about the treatment I'm receiving. I feel like I'm getting the best. I had a cavity filled and Dr. Jimani asked, after the procedure was done, did my bite feel natural? It mostly did, but was slightly off. I said as much and added, It's fine. For me, it was fine. My bite was 98% correct. Dr. Jimani said, Nah, we don't do 'It's fine' here. She laid me back down and corrected that last little bit. That's the kind of dental practice this is. Great work, Dr. Jimani. Great work, enlightenDENTAL.

Dr. Blackwell and team are simply amazing. My daughter and I started going there just at the right time. Dr. Blackwell has restructured my daughters jaw and nasal airways before any orthodontia /teeth straightening can begin. The videos of the before and after jaw growth are simply breathtaking. I'm glad we made the switch to a more natural approach to dental care. We love enlightenDental.

OUTSTANDING. I was immediately greeted by friendly attentive staff who offered me water. After only a few minutes, Alana greeted me and provided a tour of several office areas including a "sanitation station" where they sanitize all of their equipment while layered in protective gear and long gloves to ensure sanitation. I was immediately given a CT scan in a state-of-the-art machine that required no special bite devices, no lying down... just sitting in a cozy chair while a very small and quite device whirs around your head in all of 8 seconds. DONE. Then... I was given x-rays with the modern bitewing mouthpiece that is not uncomfortable for the most part (coming from someone with a teeny tiny mouth), and the handheld x-ray device (no claustrophobia here folks). And best of all, the pictures were all shown on a screen right in front of me where I could follow along with my progress and know when to release the bitewing. Fabulous. Once the x-rays were complete, the staff noted any dental concerns I had, brought me a blanket, and tipped my chair back so I could watch Netflix. Ahh. When Dr. Blackwell came in, she discussed my expectations with me at length with the utmost care and attentiveness, then examined my CT scan on-screen where I could see too, identifying a deviated septum (which I had no idea about), discussing how this affects the parasympathetic/sympathetic nervous systems, and recommending treatment, which her assistant noted for me. Dr. Blackwell examined my entire bone structure and explained that for my small mouth, I was lucky to have structure that prevented sleep apnea. Dr. Blackwell even examined my at-home aligner treatment plan with a 3rd party company and affirmed that it was a very healthy choice because my plan had slowed gum recession, expanded my tight jaws, and released tension in my lower jaw (which she knew I had without my even telling her, and yes the aligners helped). Upon examining my x-rays, Dr. Blackwell identified amalgam and air cavities under several of my fillings, as well as an infection under a crown. Sheesh! I suspected these issues intuitively for a long time, but no other dentist either noticed or prioritized these (not even holistic dentists in Seattle). Dr. Blackwell also identified a tongue tie, discussed how it can cause postural issues and chronic pain, and provided a referral for treatment. She also identified dietary concerns based on my tongue and saliva PH, and gave recommendations. She even did an oral cancer screening that was fast and easy, while also very thorough. Dr. Blackwell took extra gentle care of my teeth during her probing and cleaning, being extra careful with sensitive areas, and identifying issues with certain areas that I've known about, but never thought a dentist could help with, until her! Once the cleaning and exam was complete, her assistant gave me a fluoride-free anti-cavity treatment, with flossing before and after, and gave me a goody bag (bamboo toothbrush, plastic free floss, and Rise Well mineral toothpaste). Along these lines, the hand sanitizer and hand soap in the office was also clearly organic and nontoxic, with essential oils. Even checkout was amazing. Catherine was super heartfelt and enthusiastic about the clinic, about my treatment plan, and about making sure that I felt comfortable and informed. Velvet glove every step. She explained that Dr. Blackwell will use the SMART procedure to remove my mercury fillings, and that she will replace them with biomimetic fillings which are comprised of 3 materials which will mimic my dental enamel, dentin, and pulp, will bond longer than normal fillings (up to a lifetime), and are nontoxic. WIN! Catherine even remembered talking to me 6 months prior when she scheduled my first appointment- she will do an intake interview with you, and learn all about your dental story! Catherine told me that the clinic is really trying to create a place of healing, because so many people have had bad dentistry experiences. I felt the healing beginning, and for the first time in my life I am excited to return!

Hey! Yall are amazing. Dr. Blackwell and her staff are so kind. Doc is super up to date with her winsome and knowledge. Best of the best equipment. Most non toxic stuff available. She applies dietary knowledge, and has an amazing air of empathy and non judgmental presence. And they really take their time with you. Also, she has had to go back and do improvements on a filling for me, not because she isn't wonderful, but that's just the nature of my teeth and my mouth (from years of not knowing how to take care of my teeth), and her building a practice; she has been amazing with that, and has not consistently charged me to make those improvements, which means a lot to me. I have no insurance, and I'm a very young mom too, so I love how affordable this place is, and the care that comes with it. Top of the line care, and affordable for someone working in the lower class. They take payments, and will make plans. Really, I couldn't blast this place enough. Thanks again yall This is not wade Stepp posting btw, haha. That's my lovely husband

Dr Blackwell, Catherine and the entire staff are so professional and warm and welcoming. It feels like a spa and not a dentists office. I am finishing up wearing a DNA appliance that Dr Blackwell recommended for my restricted airway. Last year I had a lot of trouble breathing at higher altitude. One year later after wearing the DNA appliance I had no problems at all with breathing even at high altitude. My mouth has never felt cleaner and better since starting at Enlighten. The education alone is priceless!

I started seeing Dr. Blackwell last year and it was one of the best decisions I've made. She has the knowledge and compassion that has inspired me to start taking better care of my dental health which will also better my over all health. Everything about the experience is easy, comfortable and indeed enlightening. The staff is super friendly and the office is gorgeous. I hope to be a patient here for the rest of my life. I recommend enlightenDENTAL to everyone.

Dr. Blackwell and her staff were amazing! I've become so disenchanted with traditional allopathic medical everything. I really appreciate Dr. Blackwell's holistic approach to treat not only the immediate problem, but to also examine and work on the root causes. I feel like my teeth and gums are finally in excellent hands. I also appreciate their payment packages and assistance in working with your existing insurance as an out of network provider.

Dr. Blackwell has only been opened for a couple of weeks at this point, but is already proving that she is amazing, thoughtful and thorough. She cares deeply about her patients, and has proven to me that she is a wonderful diagnostician, having caught something that several other dentists missed. I can't thank her enough for her help.
