Dr. Kesavan opened her dental practice, Enlight Dental, after eight years of experience working in Manhattan as a General Dentist. Dr. Kesavans practice provides a setting where patients can feel at ease, be themselves, and communicate freely based on a trust relationship.
Dr. Kesavan obtained her BDS and completed a Residency and advanced training in Oral Pathology from Dental College Trivandrum at the University of Kerala. She then worked as an Assistant Professor of Oral Pathology at the Government Dental Colleges, Calicut and Trivandrum for seven years before coming to US in pursuit of higher training.
After arriving in the United States in 2001, Dr. Kesavan completed three years of training at New York University College of Dentistry where she received her DDS in 2006. Since then, she has worked as a General Dentist in the New York area, providing dental care to both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Kesavans goal in her private practice is to utilize a holistic approach to dentistry and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment. At her practice, patients can expect an ideal dental office environment, with a careful selection of top quality dental equipment as well as a pleasing dcor and ambience.
Directions to our Office: The office is located at the intersection of Mineola Blvd and Canterbury Road. The entrance is on Mineola Blvd (please see pictures of the premises in the Office Tour tab). Please be aware that the house numbers on Mineola Blvd do not proceed sequentially.

I was very pleased with the professionalism, courtesy and meticulous attention to detail that Dr. Kesavan of Enlight Dental provided, during my recent crown installation. She presented options and listened to and respected my choices. Dr. Kesavan also kept me informed of the process from beginning to end.

10/10 - highly recommend! I found Dr. Kesavan on ZocDoc and chose her for routine check ups/cleanings based on the excellent reviews. Not only did she meet my expectations but she far exceeded them. Her level of care, attention to detail, professionalism and bedside manner are above and beyond. Dr. Kesavan always takes the time to explain the process and answer your questions, you never feel rushed. The office is also lovely -- the large windows overlook trees/flowers so you have a view while you get your cleaning -- and clean. Parking is easy and there is a very short (if any) wait time. Going to the dentist is now such an enjoyable, hassle-free experience and my teeth always feel amazing afterwards. If you want to love going to the dentist, go see Dr. Kesavan.

Dr. Kesavan was a wonderful change of pace from my past experiences (often arrogant and unfriendly) with other dentists. She was super professional and accommodating at each of my follow-up visits. She listened to my requests, while at the same time offered her expertise on how to effectively resolve the dental issues I had developed. The offices were pristine and complete Covid-19 protocols were observed. I highly recommend her dental practice!

Dr. Kesavan is god sent! My son (8 year old) was having pain and sensitivity in his tooth due to some earlier non-treatment. He told me that he is not able to chew on one side of his mouth for few months. I called Dr. Kesavan and requested her to see my son. This was the first time I was interacting with her. She is one of the kindest person I have met. She was compassionate towards my son, gave us appointment with a priority, and treated him with utmost care. She also noticed that he had heavy plaque build up and took care of that. She then fixed the bite issues and fixed all the cavities on the next appointment. My son was very happy as he felt out of pain after many months. I am planning to bring my other 2 children also go to Dr. Kesavan for future care. Thank you for your kindness!

Dr. Kesavan is such a wonderful dentist! She is kind, knowledgeable, considerate and explains everything to her patients so they know what is going on during the exam. I was very nervous going to the dentist after such a long time and she made me feel so comfortable. She also answers any questions you have very openly. You can tell she truly cares about what she does and the genuine wellbeing of her patients. I would recommend anyone to her.

I had a very pleasant experience at this dental office. Dr Kesavan is very sweet and knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain every step of what she is doing and why to make your experience very personal to you and not like you're just a cog in a machine for making money. I highly recommend her services if you're looking for talent, cleanliness, professionalism, and an actual understanding of what will be going on in your mouth.
