Kevin Morris, D.M.D. is a unique kind of dentist. He takes a gentle approach, easing any concerns you might have by providing valuable patient education. He listens so he can best understand your particular needs. He strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology.

As a graduate of the University of Montevallo in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, he went on to extend his education, receiving his doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Morris was born and raised in Shelby County. He moved to the Pelham/Alabaster area with his wife, Katie, in 2005. Away from the office, Kevin loves spending time and traveling with Katie and their daughter (Addison) and twin sons (Ethan and Jackson). He also enjoys playing golf with friends and watching Alabama athletics. Kevin and Katie are active members of First Baptist Church of Pelham where both teach Sunday school.

We believe that quality care begins with a knowledgeable and friendly staff! All of our team members are highly skilled and experienced in the field of dentistry. They work together to ensure total patient care during every aspect of your treatment. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

We truly enjoy our job and want you to enjoy your time with us! If there is anything we can do to enhance the level of care you receive at our office, please let us know! We are always available to address your questions and concerns!

I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Bessemer State Tech in 1996 and graduated from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2003. I have worked in the dental field for 18 years making sure my patients are comfortable and well taken care of. I was an assistant for 7 years before going to dental hygiene school and I enjoy assisting Dr. Morris when needed.

I am a native of north Mexico and received my training as a dental assistant 13 years ago. My primary language is Spanish and I enjoy helping our Hispanic patients understand their treatment needs and feel more comfortable in the dental office. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry with my favorite procedure being cosmetic and crown restorations.

Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.

Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

Had a root canal and crown done last year. My temporary crown came off 3 times and after they supposedly fixed it it came off again. They told me to go buy something from the store and glue it back on myself. That came off and then they told me to just leave it off.. My permanent crown still hurts and was put in crooked. Now this dentist whom charged me for his mistakes, has put a $40.00 bill into collections. What's wrong with this problem is that this doctor doesn't have the skills it takes to do the work properly and still wants me to pay for his mistakes. I'm on disability and that's why he's treating me this way. Now I'm being sued over $40.00. You're making money hand over fist, you have taken advantage of my situation! You should have written it off on your taxes instead of threatening me with collections! Now the bill is almost $100.00 and the collection agency will be adding more interest to it until they put it on my credit history in August. Not my mistake and not my problem. Go ahead and do what your heart tells you to do in Jesus name, do the right thing and take some responsibility for your own actions! I did my part in trusting you were a Christian!

Had an appointment for a tooth cleaning and to have a mold for a crown done. Scheduled at 9:30 a for cleaning and then molding. After cleaning 10 (minutes) sat in chair and waited an hour while they kept bringing in patients for dental work. Had several appointments that day as that was my only day off. Left without getting the mold done for my crown. Wife called and they scheduled for the next week at 11:30. When I arrived I was told I had cancelled the appointment which I did not do. My wife had talked with the office last week and they told her 11:30. Very poor way to run a practice. I would not use this doctor again. They have bad communications and scheduling.
