Dr. Alvarez attended the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Pre-professional Sciences in 2002. He then attended the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2006. He has completed numerous continuing education courses in implants, orthodontics, sleep dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry to further his expertise. He and his wife Naomi have 2 children, Nia and Michael, and reside in northeast San Antonio.
If you know Sonia you know shes always smiling and ready so have a good conversation with you! Sonia has four daughters, Mary, Daniella, Brittney, and Bethany & two sons-in-law, Javier and Cody. She has been married to her husband, Anthony, for 28 years. Sonia loves her dogs, traveling, planning events, watching sports, and spending time with her family. Sonia has lived in many places as a marine wife, but San Antonio is home!
Jenn is a native of San Antonio and has over 17 years of experience working in the dental field. She started working as a dental assistant for her childhood dentist and then took the leap to become a dental hygienist. She joined our practice in the summer of 2019. Jenn loves to motivate and help educate patients on their dental hygiene while forming great relationships and building trust. Her gentle touch and caring nature make her an asset to our office. In her free time, she enjoys exploring her new area of New Braunfels with sidekick, Bella her feisty 12-year-old Yorkie.
Valerie was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from the UT Health Science Center with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She takes pride in making every patient feel at ease throughout their dental treatments and therapies. She enjoys singing, watching medical drama shows, and discussing anything Harry Potter related.
Raquel was born in Mexico City and attended UNITEC University, where she graduated with her doctorate degree in dentistry. She has lived in San Antonio for 16 years and has been working as a dental assistant for the last 14 years. She enjoys taking care of her patients and loves working in the dental field.
I just had my first visit at this office and I couldnt be happier with the service! All of the staff, as well as the doctor really take the time to make sure youre getting the best care possible. Also, everyone is so very friendly. Jen, Nina, and Sonya are awesome! I never thought going to the dentist could be such a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this office!

This is dentistry at its finest! The office is conveniently located and the team is efficient, kind, respectful, helpful, and responsive. Dr. Alvarez is extremely knowledgeable, caring, kind, and takes his time and explains complicated information in an easy to understand manner. Very impressed and highly recommend!
Yall! I have NEVER been to a dentists office where I felt so good! Ive had so many bad experiences, but not here! The office is spotless. Valerie was AMAZING, and Dr. Alvarez put my mind at ease with his jokes. HIGHLY recommend!

The entire team at Enhance Dental is amazing! I've been w/them for 1.5 yrs. Miranda & Jen have been my hygienists and they both are so caring and professional, every time after my cleaning I feel so much better! My dentist Dr. Alvarez is so thorough & caring. Melissa the Office Manager always ends the visit with a smile & handles all the admin so smoothly. Every time I visit I feel like they care about my well being & always make me feel welcome!

I have been coming to this dentist for a few years. I absolutely love DR. Alvarez and the dental hygienist who assist with my cleanings. HOWEVER, recently I had the worst experience I have ever had with any company. This office went through some sort of platform switch that has created a ton of repeat paperwork and many incorrect invoice requests. Besides their organizational issues I wanted to share another experience. I requested an early appointment as I had a meeting to get to after-- my appointment was started late and when I sat down I asked the receptionist Melissa if I would have enough time to have my cleaning completed. I was told it would take 45 minutes rather than the 25 minutes I was quoted upon setting up my appointment. I was very disappointed that I would have to leave the office with no cleaning. I shared my disappointment and exited the chair. While I was leaving Melissa halfheartedly apologized and I did not acknowledge her I just left the facility. I was now late to my meeting and drove 30 minutes out of my way for a service I did not receive. I thought surely they would call and try and reschedule me... Not only did I not receive a call back, but I also was placed on a "Do not call list". When I called to reschedule I was sent to a corporate office who requested I place a $50 deposit to setup my rescheduled appointment. When I called the office today Melissa the receptionist/ supposed "Manager" said she tried calling me and left messages for a rescheduled appointment. (This was untrue) I assured her I never received any calls, and she went on to tell me that she remembers me and that when I left upset at my last visit I "hit her in the head with my purse"!! First off-- this is an absolute lie. I would never invade someone's personal space. She insulted my character and integrity as she argued with me on the phone stating over and over again a lie she has made up in her head. I asked her to please pull the cameras on the date of my last appointment as I know 100% this was a false statement. She declined to pull any footage and then rudely hung up on me. Not only do I use this dentist-- but my entire family uses this office. My father, little sister, and my husband. My entire family will be finding a new dentist as this experience was the worst I have ever experienced. Poor management, organization, and I also have received 3 different invoices of amounts I apparently owe. When I try to settle up I am told I do not owe anything. Complete MESS!!! Do yourself a favor and pick ANY other facility in San Antonio other than this one!! They do not care about taking care of you and something is really wrong with the lady who sits up front and calls herself the manager! I cannot believe she would bold face lie about me and state "I hit her in the head with my purse"! She clearly has some major issues she needs to get worked out-- until then I guess the company will suffer and continue to lose business. Hope this helps someone else!

Give zero stars if I could. Dentist was great but the front office was horrible they never get the payment right. They can't even tell you how much you owe. Next thing you know you owe 150$ and then they correct it and say 60$ then they say you owe nothing. Then later you get a letter saying you owe 38$. But wait!! Next you call and owe 72$. They said they updated there systems, well you might want to change them back. Not to mention their front desk demeanor is frustrating since they obviously don't care even though your just annoyed after having to deal with this confusing mess. We'll on the final note now they owe me money apparently and I asked for a refund. Been over a week still haven't received the refund so we'll see if the front office can at least handle this simple task

Dr Cedric Alvarez and his staff are very very experienced dentists and hygienists. They look carefully at X-rays and come up with a plan to restore areas that need attention and periodontal care. They are very professional

This place is absolutely amazing.. from the dentist to the staff. My bridge was loose and I called my original dentist to see if I can get an appt asap. He told me " ma'am there's no way your bridge is loose I just did in back in February". I said ummm ok well let me get the earliest appt. Which was next Wednesday 6 days out but I still made an appt because my bridges was indeed loose: my bridge came out at 2am the next morning and I was freaking out . Call Enhance Dental down the street from my house pretty frantic and the front desk receptionist was amazing. She literally calmed me down and got me in at 8am. Everyone was so sweet: I can't thank the dentist and his staff for being so caring and quick with me. Needless to say this will be my family new dentist. Thank you so much

Two of my kids had there braces on for more than two years and the results were awful, her front teeth were not straight at all and when I consulted him about the issue he said braces were not for cosmetic purposes at all, my sons front teeth were crooked and twisted as well , eight thousand dollars down the drain they are gonna need a second round of braces.Would NOT recommend the service was horrible and workers are rude.
