Hi my name is Claudia. After 10 years working as a computer programmer analyst, I had changed careers when I had my only son because I wanted to make a check and balance as a working mom to raise him. Since 1999, I had started my career as a dental assistant in general dentistry and then prosthodontics, oral surgery, periodontist; I am now very pleased to be working for Dr. Cha and Dr. Jiang in endodontics. With over 20 years of experience in dentistry, I learned that respect, compassion, and care are very important qualities to take on our patients as I brush up my technical dental skills to keep up with CPR certification, infection control, and X-ray certifications. Working with professional and caring doctors, we try our best to make an overall different experience of a comfortable and healthy environment for our patients. Family time, gardening, music, and art expositions are my activities for my leisure time.
Dr. Jin Jiang, originally from Chengdu, China, came to the United States and completed the endodontic residency program combined with Ph.D degree in biomedical science at University of Connecticut in 2001. She has worked as a full-time faculty member first at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and later at University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. While serving as a faculty member in dental schools, she taught, supervised dental students and residents in the clinic and advised endodontic postgraduate residents on their research projects.
Dr. Jiang has authored and co-authored more than 50 publications in the field of Endodontics with a focus on pathogenesis of dental disease and biologic principles of treatment. She has been elected to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics where she reviews various research articles related to the field of Endodontology. Her background in teaching and research greatly strengthened her ability to aid patients at a higher level in their health care decisions as it pertains to their Endodontic needs.
In 2010, Dr. Jiang joined Dr. Cha in the limited practice of Endodontics in Hamden, Connecticut while still working as a part-time faculty member at the Division of Endodontology at the University of Connecticut. Since 2014, she has focused on patient care at Hamden and New Haven offices as a full time practitioner. Dr. Jiang provides excellent Endodontic care to her patients with a calming manner and a smile.
Dr. Chas practice is limited to endodontics which is a specialty of dentistry to preserve and maintain the natural teeth and prevent tooth loss. By applying the state-of-the art technology and up-to-date scientific knowledge, modern endodontic treatment is highly successful in keeping people from losing teeth. Dr Cha has been a dentist for 37 years and an active full-time endodontist in the Greater New Haven area for 30 years. He has been involved with teaching at Yale New Haven Hospital and UCONN School of Dental Medicine as a volunteer part time faculty member. Dr. Cha strives to serve every single patient with exceptional and comfortable treatment in a gentle manner. Dr. Cha is strongly supported by a team of knowledgeable and caring staff members who work together with him to provide the best successful outcome for the patients they serve.

Awful place,dangerous area,I got up and left during my meeting after being belittled and disrespected the sarcastic "doctor" and the assistant was harassing me to do something I said i didnt want multiple times so they could make more money

One of the staff members Tina, who would not give me her name after yelling at me and talking over me when I was trying to figure out why my appointment was cancelled. I explained that I had a death in the family and that I was busy fielding calls from other relatives. When I asked if I could just please talk to someone else, she proudly refused. She claimed that I could not be seen until they had my x-rays. They then tried to do an unnecessary 3D X-ray of which I refused and then they took a regular x-Ray that I already had done and emailed to them. One of the staff members (Yolanda) tried to defuse the situation and apologized for her rude co-worker and then stated that Tina is a nice person. All in all I was diagnosed without a 3D x-Ray and do not need a root canal. Dr. Cha was pleasant and so was the assistant Claudia. Still not sure why the x-Ray that I sent from my dentist was not enough and why I had to have the same x-Ray done! I have worked in customer service most of my life and the absolute lack of empathy for a fellow human being in distress was disgusting. I absolutely would not recommend. And I only gave it the extra star because the rest of the staff was actually very polite.

I told Dr Jiang and her assistant that flossing around the tooth in question would irritate and enflame the cyst in my neck...this is the whole reason I came in to have a 2nd opinion before going ahead with surgery to have the cyst taken out. What does Dr Jiang do? Floss around the tooth while doing her evaluation. Now, $200 later for 20 mins and a few x-rays the cyst is swollen and enflamed and I have to go back to the hospital for more antibiotics to get it under control. Thanks a lot.

Very rude staff and they clearly lack the ability to comunicate properly with other dentist offices and their customers. Would not recommend.

I was really nervous about my root canal procedure today but Dr. Jin Jiang & Claudia were amazing!! It was a quick, smooth, painless, & enjoyable visit... I highly recommend them

From the moment I entered this Victorian Home converted dentist office I felt surrounded by caring staff and a highly skilled Endodontist. Dr. Jin Jiang and her staff/assistant Claudia are very patient centric, and ensure your experience is smooth and comfortable. I had safety glasses, a chair with light massage and top of the line technology from 3D X-rays to 360 panoramic X-rays. This technology pinpointed the issue and working with Dr. Jiang gave me hope to save my tooth. (Molar). Rather than having it pulled and then an implant and ultimately a crown this solution was less invasive over time. A one visit solution with roughy 70 pct success rate. If you're seeking a second opinion or are in need for any type of endodontic work. Look no further. You have found the best in CT. Thank you @Dr. Jiang and Claudia.

Dr. Jiang had performed a perfect root canal treatment on me! I felt no pain during the process. She was very nice and explained everything to me patiently. She helped solved the long time problem for me. Highly recommended!

I am a big baby when it comes to dentists. So I was most certainly petrified when I needed a root canal done. But Dr. Jiang guaranteed my comfort almost to where I fell asleep during the procedure. Claudia, the assistant was also excellent and very sweet and helpful. Even Tina who brought me in was fantastic and professional. I personally had an amazing experience and couldn't be more grateful. 5 stars all around.

Dr Jiang and Sonia are the best! I have had two root canals done with Dr Jiang and she makes it a pleasant experience. Sonia put me at ease in the beginning too. I felt safe with COVID precautions and would definitely recommend Dr Jiang and Sonia.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Jiang for a root canal consultation two weeks ago, and I was very impressed with the friendly staff, safety protocols and state-of-the-art facility. After performing a 3D CT Scan, Dr. Jiang was able to quickly diagnose my serious tooth infection. I returned this morning for the root canal procedure and I can't thank Dr. Jiang and her assistant Claudia enough for their kindness and professionalism, and for providing such a great experience. I strongly recommend Dr. Jiang and Endodontics to anyone that needs a root canal specialist.

This afternoon's dentist visiting was such a wonderful experience!! it made me create a google account, just want to post a review here to share it with everyone. As you all knew, to see a dentist during a pandemic time is such a challenge, I was very nervous. But the minute I entered Dr. JinJiang's office, I immediately feel calm since they did so well to follow Covid protocols. And the assistant Sonia is very kind and patient, put me at ease just in few minutes. I was afraid about the root canal, but Dr.Jiang is very gentle, careful, and so professional. She isn't only doing an amazing job for the root canal, but also did great extra work for my cavity! The whole procedure was pain-free and efficient, comfortable. The overall all experience is very pleasant, I highly recommend Dr. JinJiang's practice, I am sure that you will leave there with big smiles!

On January 7 I had a complicated surgery in two areas of my mouth. I was really worried that it would last too long and be painful. My actual experience proved it wrong! Dr. Jin Jiang performed the surgery expertly and efficiently and I did not experience any discomfort. Even anesthetic shots were done in a way so that I barely noticed them. After the surgery I was given detailed instructions on how to deal with expected discomfort and how to accelerate the recovery. Today is January 8, I am following Dr. Jiang's advice and I feel great. In addition, I would like to compliment the clinic for its state-of-the-art equipment, logistics and impeccable cleanliness. Everything is organized so that there is no contact with other patients and staff are helpful and warm. Dr. Jiang, thank you for saving my teeth and doing it so expertly and gently.

I've had two root canals done by Dr. Jiang and Claudia and they are amazing. I hate getting dental work done so I get the jitters but Claudia makes you feel so comfortable and at ease and Dr. Jiang is very gentle and makes sure you're completely numb before trying anything.
