I was referred her by my dentist. Obviously I needed to go because of pain. I had a 9am appointment. At 9:30am I asked how much longer, the young lady at the front said not to much longer they have your file. At 9:47 I went back to the front because I still had not been called back. I shared they charge a fee for being late or not showing but have no respect for the patient or the patient's time. I cancelled and left. I will never return to this office. It is sad and unfortunate how they handle patients for a service being paid for not given for free. Unacceptable.

The dentist/endodontist/ periodontist was great!!! but are the office staff temps? Did they memorize a script? They persistently want patients to pay a % upfront (even if the Insurance has already approved the procedure costs) So I paid them so I could get the procedure I needed. After I got home I called the insurance and they informed me that I should not have paid the office. So I have telephoned the dental office and the office staff told me that I will have to wait until the insurance company pays them and then they will issue me a refund. It's been 2 1/2 months and as a responsible individual I have followed up with both the insurance and the dental office, periodically. After the dental office finally confirmed that the insurance had paid them, they said it would take eight weeks for them to issue a refund check. I explained to the dental office that I wasn't supposed to give them my money in the first place and that they should expedite that refund. They did. Well that date came and went so I called them to see how things are progressing. They told me it would be 6 to 8 weeks before they would get to it then she talked to her supervisor and looked at some other list and when they're planning on paying people their refunds. apparently I made it to the expedited list but they still hadn't sent me the refund and they might get around to it in another nine days. It would be a shame if these great doctors and dentists suffer because of their support staff. I have read similar reviews and I was really hoping I wasn't going to be one of them. Guess what! They sent my refund! Yay! Good for them!

Dr. Alex is the absolute best!! The office was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had a root canal done and literally felt no pain (other than the shots of course).

I can't say I ever expected to need the care of an endodontist and/or periodontist, but once procedures were diagnosed, I feel beyond fortunate to be referred to this practice. Dr Thakkar and Dr Kunath are absolutely top notch. The procedures were relatively painless due to their expertise, and my fears and apprehension were acknowledged and managed with utmost care and concern. Highly recommended.

Dr. Thakkar and the staff at Endodontic and Periodontic Care in Homewood are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Thakkar walked me through my procedure step by step and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It was a great experience.

From start to finish I couldn't recommend these folks more ! Office staff courteous, friendly, and very professional. Dr. Thakkar's parents best be careful when they wear shirts with buttons because they could be in danger of popping them for being so proud of the good dr. !

I was the days first appointment and was sitting in the chair for 45 minutes waiting for Dr. Slavin. And he rushed through the numbing and the needles really hurt (I'm 60 and I've never had this much pain from a dental procedure). But mostly they told me they filed a pre-authorization with my insurance and quoted me 10% co-pay but later billed me for the total (around $1000) and denied that they ever quoted me the 10%. My insurance said they never send an pre-authorization. I will filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Illinois State Insurance board. Not good people to do business with at all!

This is a very Respectful, professional and caring establishment. They gave me the personal attention my dental needs required. My Dr. Made my procedure painless and stress free. I would recommend Endodontic Periodontic Associates, LTD to anyone for their special dental needs.
