Dr. Catherine Hebert is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana where she received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry from McNeese State University. Following this, Dr. Hebert graduated from Louisiana State Universitys School of Dentistry in 1981 and furthered her education with three residencies. To insure the highest quality treatment and best possible outcome, Dr. Hebert continues to enhance her knowledge and skills by traveling around the globe to train with leading endodontists and implant specialists. Dr. Heberts practices focuses on adult endodontistry as well as pediatric endodontistry, endodontistry for patients with special needs of all ages, and work with Veterans Affairs to provide services to honor veterans of the U.S. Military.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hebert maintains an Associate Professor position and teaches at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where she lectures and is involved with area dental study clubs. Dr. Hebert is also an active member of the Northlake Dental Association where she currently serves as active Secretary and Director. In the past, Dr. Hebert has been President of the NDA. She further maintains active involvement with the Louisiana Dental Association as a board member, a delegate to the American Dental Association, and a recent nominee to the International College of Dentists.
Based on her hospital training, Dr. Hebert maintains special certifications in the area of patient sedation. She actively pursues an average of 100-200 hours of continuing education annually to maintain her position as a leader in the field of endodontics. In 2007, Dr. Hebert completed an implant residency, believing that her knowledge of this field would help her to better counsel patients on the decision of whether to treat or pull problem teeth. Her extensive knowledge of and expertise in implant site preparation has helped many patients have successful implants when their natural tooth could not be saved. However, Dr. Hebert does extensive micro-endodontistry procedures with state-of-the-art laser technology to do everything possible to save a patients natural tooth.
Dr. Hebert has been on the Northshore since 1986. She and her husband, Steven Carpenter, have two children, Kevin and Katie. Dr. Hebert enjoys traveling and cooking. She developed an extensive recipe collection which she shares with her patients.
Steven is Dr. Heberts husband and together they have created the Endodontic & Implant Center. He was born and raised in Luling, LA and now currently resides on the Northshore. Stevens background is in computer programming and computer network installation and support. He wrote and supported endodontic practice software for 15 years and has been working in this practice since 1993 as office manager, IT support and dental assisting. He and Dr. Hebert have 2 children and 1 daughter-in-law. Stevens other interests include fishing, sports, traveling, chess, movies and stock market investing.
Bonnie was born in New Orleans and raised in Metairie. She has been with the Endodontic & Implant Center since 2010 and has been working in the Endodontic field for over thirty years. Bonnie has been married to her husband, Jack, for over 40 years. She has two grown children and five grandchildren. Bonnie loves to ride her bike and also loves going to all sports activities with her grandchildren.
Carolyn was born in New Orleans, raised in Metairie and currently resides in Mandeville. She has been with the Endodontic & Implant Center since 2008 and has been working as an Endodontic Administrative Asst for over 30 years. She is an ADA Certified Dental Insurance Coder and handles all of our patient insurance needs. Carolyn has 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Her hobbies include going on cruises and interior decorating.
Maria was born in West Point, New York and raised in Hammond, LA where she currently resides. She has been in dentistry for over 30 years and has been with the Endodontic & Implant Center since 2016. Maria is married and has 3 children, 2 step-children and 4 grandchildren. Marias other interests include her dogs Betty and Ginger, working in her yard and going down the Tangipahoa river.
Taylor was born and raised in Hammond, LA where she currently resides. She started working with at the Endodontic & Implant Center in 2018 as a dental lab assistant and was trained to be a dental assistant by Dr. Hebert. Taylor is married and recently had her first baby boy, Cooper in 2020. She enjoys traveling whenever she get the chance.
Shelly was born and raised in Louisiana and currently resides in Covington with her husband Joe, and two boys, Luke & Chase. Shelly has over 20 years experience combined in the dental and medical field. She worked with the Endodontic & Implant Center many years ago before pursuing other interests. We are delighted to have her back as part of our team. Shelly maintains an active realtors license where she and her husband renovate homes. Shelly continually seeks continuing education and enjoys reading. She enjoys working for a family-owned practice that not only gives God the glory, but seeks every day to provide cutting edge, quality care.
