The journey began in a small suburb of Mumbai, India, the city which never sleeps with a population of over 21 million today. I was born in India and immigrated to America in the year 2000. After receiving a warm big Texas style welcome in Dallas,Texas, I have returned back home after a break to pursue advanced education in sunny California at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to become a Trojan twice with a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) and also a certificate in Endodontics. I graduated with honors and an induction into Omicron Kappa Epsilon, the national dental honor society. As a part-time clinical instructor at USC, School of Dentistry in the Urgent Care Center gave me an opportunity to train dental students in the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients presenting with dental pain.
Being a dentist for 20 years has allowed me the opportunity to enjoy all aspects of dentistry and pursue one of my long term passions which is Endodontics. The precision and advances in the diagnosis and treatment of root canal related conditions had always excited me and continues to do so everyday. Along this journey I was fortunate to have some small and big milestones.
I am a fellow and founding member of The International Academy of Endodontics, faculty at International Endodontic Institute and in addition I am active member of various other specialist organizations. I have the privilege to serve on the advisory board of the DFW dental study club which is an affiliate of the prestigious Seattle study club.
Over the years I have published clinical papers on topics in endodontics and have won several awards for presentations at state and national levels. I have presented at a number of conferences both locally and nationally.
My accomplishments are hollow without the love and support of my friends, family and most importantly my patients! I enjoy the interaction with my patients and accept the challenge of alleviating fears associated with the thought of having a root canal procedure.
My wife and I have two beautiful daughters and call Lantana home. In my spare time,I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, dancing with my daughters, new age music, reading, entertaining and I plan to learn some golf.
Dr. Wang received her DMD degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. At CWRU, Dr. Wang earned many accolades including honors for exceptional academic and clinical performance and membership to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She was the recipient of the American Association of Endodontists Student Achievement Award. Following graduation, she continued at CWRU where she earnedher MSD and Certificate in Endodontics.Dr. Wangs main area of interest is the outcome of endodontic treatment. She has multiple publications on this topic in the Journal of Endodontics, the official journal of the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Wang is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, and Texas Dental Association.Dr. Wang is committed to evidence-based endodontic treatment, while treating every patient like family.
Dr. Countryman was born in Dallas and grew up in East Texas. He earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University. He then completed his DDS training at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas where he was on the Deans List each year and was selected to be a member of the Odontological Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. After dental school, he completed a 2-year residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA where he received an MSD and certificate in Endodontics. At UW, he was involved in research in the field of regenerative endodontics. He is committed to providing excellent care and making patients feel comfortable. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Countryman and his wife, Laura are happy to be back home in the DFW area with family and friends. He enjoys traveling, being outdoors, playing golf and following his favorite teams the Rangers, Mavs and Cowboys.

Dr. Rajiv Patel BDS, DDS is absolutely WONDERFUL! Hands down the best experience I've ever had with an Endodontist! His bedside manner is superb; He is professional and knowledgeable, made me feel confident and comfortable, and took the time to inform me and answer my questions ...and BIG Bonus...he is very gentle! His clean office is equipped with the latest technology, and his support staff are friendly and helpful. What an amazing experience I had visiting his office! I am loyal for life AND I recommend him highly!

Let's face it, nobody wants to get a root canal but you have to do what you have to do! Dr. Patel made the procedure as painless as possible and my short recovery time was amazing! I would definitely recommend him.

I recently got done my first root canal and was very nervous initially, especially since I had to go through an emergency procedure. I am so grateful to Dr. Patel and his staff for being able to fit me within a half day making some exceptions to treat me. I had a wonderful experience throughout and the staff were extremely accommodating and kind even for follow ups appointments. Dr. Patel is such a nice person, great sense of humor and made sure I understood exactly what would be happening. I felt completely comfortable and at ease during every step. Thanks Dr. Patel and staff. You all did an incredible job! Highly highly recommend this clinic!!

Once in a while you meet people that are so gifted at what they do, you realize they were born to do it. This is my opinion of Dr Patel. I was recently referred to Dr. Patel for a root canal on a tooth that had been painful and giving me trouble for weeks. Dr Patel got me in the same day I was referred. Full disclosure: I'm not crazy about having dental work and the thought of a root canal was not something I had ever imagined would be a pleasant experience.. Not only did Dr Patel and his staff take very good care of me and my bad tooth, but I also very much enjoyed the entire experience. I experienced zero pain during or after the procedure and my tooth and the pain I was experiencing prior to my visit was gone before I walked out of his office. On a scale of 1 to 10 Dr Patel and his staff are an 11 and off the charts awesome!! If you find yourself in need of endodontic services, look no further than Dr Patel at Endodontic Excellence.

Dr. Patel does great work! I had to have a redo root canal after the original that I had became infected after almost 40 years. I was really nervous about having a root canal done again and was considering a tooth implant. Dr. Patel showed me past cases where he had saved other patients teeth that had similar circumstances. I just turned 50 and was worried about the recovery and healing process as the abscess had deteriorated a large chunk of bone in my upper jaw to my nasal sinus. I am so glad I made the decision to have him redo my root canal. I just had a 6 month follow up yesterday and the missing bone is regenerating nicely. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing endontic services.

I heard stories in my youth about why you never want a root canal. However, my dentist recommended Dr. Patel because she thought I might need a root canal. Dr. Patel confirmed it very easily with a 3D x-ray and performed the surgery. I was painless the whole time and both Dr. Patel and Debbie were terrific people and extremely competent. If I need another root canal - I know where I will be going! Do not fear the root canal. If your dentist recommends one -go to Dr. Patel.

When my Dentist told me I needed a root canal I was petrified as I had heard horror stories about the procedure. She assured me Dr Patel was the best and I could put my concern aside. I never had any pain and the procedure was perfect. The bonus is the great follow up that Dr Patel does. I would recommend him to any one needed endodontics and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Patel is easily, hands down the best with teeth. I have been a patient for almost 2 years now and in that time have had 4 different root canals. Despite having some of the longest roots he has operated on, he never lets up and never backs down from a challenge. He makes the experience easier for the patient and eliminates all nerves they may have! Dr. Patel is the first endodontist/dentist to ever make it so I do not feel a needle when trying to numb me which I love! He has this buzzer that he puts on your face that somehow makes it so you do not even feel the needle! For someone who has had a lot of dental work done such as myself, this is a blessing to have. He has great attitude and a great work ethic! He always tries to make jokes and make the experience easier on me which I really appreciate. You should defintely use him for all of your endodontic needs!

I have had several root canals and Dr. Rajiv Patel is the most patient, detailed, and thorough Endodontic Professional I have encountered. Five years ago I had a root canal that was not done properly and Dr. Patel took the time to sort it out and correct the problem. Dr. Patel and his staff are excellent!

Best experience ever. My tooth was in server pain and they took me in right away despite the crazy schedule at the clinic. Very patient experience focus, they care about how you feel during the duration in operation. Professional service and I would recommend to anyone that is in need of Endodontic services!
