John W. Pawluk, DDS, Director of Endodontic Associates of Illinois, offers an impressive record of success in providing endodontic treatments to thousands of patients who consistently praise him for his professionalism and compassion.
Dr. Pawluk is a native of Queens, New York, where he graduated from the esteemed Bronx High School of Science. He earned both his B.S. in Biology and his dental degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating with honors. During his university tenure, Dr. Pawluk received numerous awards for both his clinical work and his teaching skills. He was honored with the distinguished American Association of Endodontists Student Achievement Award in Endodontics and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Care Award. He was also inducted in the Honor Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Pawluk completed his postgraduate Microsurgical Endodontic specialty training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also served as Chief Resident and Instructor, teaching dental students clinical endodontics. He practiced on the East Coast for several years before his love of the Midwestern way of life drew him back to Chicago.
Dr. Qian Xie comes from Chengdu, China, and attended Sichuan University earning a DDS and PhD in 2005. Dr. Xie was conferred the Young Investigator Award from the American Association of Dental Research and also was honored for her poster on Geriatric Oral Science at the International Association for Dental Research meeting in Miami in 2009.
Dr. Xie returned to graduate school at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She graduated in 2011 with a specialty certificate in Endodontics. Upon completion of the specialty program, Dr. Xie continues as a full time instructor at the University of Illinois Dental School.
Dr. Xie has been a member and an active participant in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. She also has numerous publications in leading professional journals including the Journal of Endodotics, the Journal of Dentistry, and Oral Microbiology and Immunology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board Of Endodontics.
Dr. Jaweesh is coming to us from Chicago by way of Syria. Dr. Jaweesh earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Aleppo University in Syria. After proudly running her own dental office, Dr. Jaweesh made the move to the US and attended the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry where she earned her American dental license. Dr. Jaweesh then completed her postgraduate Endodontic specialty training, as well as earned a Master in Oral Sciences degree, also at UIC College of Dentistry.
Dr. Jaweeshs passion for dentistry continues to grow, allowing her to explore new perspectives and cutting-edge techniques. She enjoys interacting with unique patient cases and treatment needs and is enthusiastic to achieve her mission of delivering quality patient dental care smoothly and consistently. Dr. Jaweesh is constantly striving to exceed the patients' expectations with her expertise and care.
Dr. Jaweesh is a member and active participant in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the esteemed Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. In her free time, Dr. Jaweesh enjoys jogging, reading, traveling, and biking with her husband and two beautiful children.
With extensive experience as a dentist, Dr. Jaweeshs on-the-job experience has afforded her a well-rounded skill set, including first-rate interpersonal and communication abilities. She is adept at making patients feel calm and comfortable while explaining the nature of their treatment needs. She is also a highly skilled clinician in her Endodontic specialty and has been working side-by-side with Dr. Pawluk - further reinforcing her excellent education and background.

I cracked my tooth and was in some pain, got a referral from my dentist and scheduled an appointment for later in the week with Endodontic Associates of Illinois. Then I hopped on a plane to Denver for work and it got MUCH worse. I quickly realized I couldn't handle the pain and needed a root canal ASAP...not only did they move my appointment up a day on very short notice, but they worked it out so I could literally hop in an Uber from the airport, go straight there and get treated. I was in probably the worst pain of my life and they were amazing from start to finish. My tooth feels great, they treated me so well throughout, and all in all, I am just so appreciative of Dr. Aziz and the entire team. Very grateful!

I had a root canal by Dr. Xie. She was extremely detailed and precise. I experienced zero pain! Outstanding, fabulous work! Dr Xie's wonderful assistant also contributed to making it a positive, non stressful procedure!

I was referred to this office by my dentist after dealing with ongoing tooth sensitivity from a root canal that I had done last summer. Dr Pawluk quickly identified that my original root canal had failed and needed to be redone. The care and retreatment of my tooth was quick and straightforward. I'm thankful to no longer be dealing with tooth sensitivity and discomfort for the last 15 months. Thank you!

Endodontic Associates was referred by my dentist. Dr. Pawluk was great, very professional and efficient with his and my time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all my questions and concerns. It did seem like they enjoyed working there helping solve an issue with my tooth. I was very please with the service and would recommend it. I was thrilled that I got in and out very fast.

Despite coming into the office for pain and a root canal Dr Pawluk and his staff made it the best experience possible. The ladies at the front desk were kind and informative. Dr. Pawluk and his assistant were kind, quick, thorough and made sure I understood the procedure and after care. I would most definitely return to this office should I need care from an endodontist again.

This is the second time that I have had to come and have work done on my teeth at this office and each time I've always been impressed with the personal and Dr John Pawluk The office standard is high and Professional while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere Seeing familiar face's made me more comfortable Dr Pawluk is a true professional and has great Patience and patient communication he was great with me as I was a little difficult and nice to get the friendly follow up calls after I got home over all one of the best office's and Dr I have ever been in they really do care and work hard to show you they do thanks guys for making me feel welcome 5 Stars Thanks again see you guys again

By far the best experience from the initial call to schedule to the day after call. Everyone was kind, professional, compassionate and efficient. Dr. Pawluk was unbelievable. The procedure was so easy, fast and without incident. If it wasn't for the novocaine I wouldn't have known that I had a procedure. No pain, no discomfort, no swelling. He is the only Endodontist that I will ever go to again and only Endodontist I will ever recommend!

Dr. Pawluk did a great job!! My daughter is 16 and was very nervous, but when she came out to the waiting area she said it didn't hurt at all!! She said the assistant was really nice and kept checking to see how she was doing! The front desk girls were great too!

If you're in need of an Endodontist, look no further than John W. Pawluk, DDS. His level of care is outstanding and his knowledge of the field of dentistry is superior. He is also supported by an excellent team - from the individuals assisting him during procedures to those on the front line answering phones and helping deal with insurance issues. All in all, a phenomenal experience!

So far I am very pleased with the professionalism of the doctor and his entire staff. Every single person in the office has happily assisted me with paperwork, scheduling, and questions. Dr. Pawluk thoroughly explained everything about my pending oral surgery and answered my questions without making me feel rushed, which has helped ease my anxiety over the upcoming procedures. The office wasclean and the staff was very friendly. I didn't end up receiving services however, due to Dr. Pawluk's honestly. He looked at my x-rays and determined that I needed something different than his office could provide. I only gave the office 4 stars, however, because I was charged more than the amount his office has agreed to bill to UHC members. They did, however, indicate they would refund any overpayment. If I have another need for endodontic services again, I will return to Endodontic Associates of Illinois.

First and most importantly I was so anxious of getting my first root canal after my dentist referred me to this location. Haven't had the best dental experience before so this was something I was anxious about. But I might say this was the most pain free and amazing dental work I have ever gotten done. I literally felt zero pain. From the moment I called to make an appointment the receptionist was super nice. The moment I got in the day of I expressed how nervous I was and they made sure to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I truly did appreciate it very much because I was very worked up. I actually listened and understood how simple the procedure was going to be so I started feeling better. I highly recommend this location. Very professional and felt comfortable. Dr. Xie was so understanding and I felt so comfortable with her. She was amazing and definitely recommend her. I definitely felt like she cared how I was feeling through the procedure. Another thing that I thought was very nice was after I got the local anesthesia one of the receptionists came in to see how I was feeling and to check on me, which I thought was very kind and thoughtful. I truly felt like I was taken care of from the appointment up to when I left. If I can rate this place 10 stars i would.

Flawless experience from start to finish. Had a root canal that I had to reschedule several times (staff was great) and when I finally went through the process I did not feel a thing. It honestly felt like a miracle. Doctor and staff are highly sensitive to patient pain and went above and beyond to make it a painless procedure. I've never done a Google review and I would never have guessed my first would be for a dentist but I was absolutely blown away. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have had 2 root canals with Dr. Pawluk and his staff and both times were great. He is a true professional. He works quickly and effectively to provide a great outcome. I requested my dentist refer me to me a 2nd time. As long as he is practicing, he will be my first choice.
