Dr. Ben Wheeler grew up in Blackshear, GA. He completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of Georgia and his Masters of Arts from Boston University School of Medicine. After graduating from the Dental College of Georgia (formerly Medical College of Georgia) with his D.M.D. degree, Dr. Wheeler accepted an endodontic residency position at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He performed research on root canal configurations using cone beam computed tomography scans which he presented at the AAE annual meeting.
In his second year of residency, Dr. Wheeler won the John T. McSpadden Spirit of Service award for clinical excellence, scholarly activity, & altruism. Dr. Wheeler is board eligible & an active member of the American Association of Endodontists as well as the as American Dental Association.
Dr. Wheeler loves the science behind endodontics as well as putting his patients at ease before their procedure. Dr. Wheeler resides in the Atlanta area and has many interests outside of Endodontics including cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs.
Dr. Shah received Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Florida. During his training at University of Florida, he acquired numerous accolades and awards. He was on Deans List for three years in a row. He was also chosen for prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy Award and L .D. Penkey Institute Student Award in Periodontics and Prosthodontics for excellence in dentistry. He furthered his training to receive his certificate of Endodontics-a specialty training from the University of Florida in 2001. Dr. Shah is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, and maintains active membership in numerous professional associations. He stays at the forefront of endodontic clinical advances with particular emphasis on 3D CT imaging, endodontic microsurgery, and retreatments.
Dr. Shah serves as the President for Georgia Association of Endodontists. He is also a member of American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and Southern Endodontic Study Group. He serves on the committee of Hinman Dental Society
Dr. Shah gives back to the community by volunteering at Ben Massell Clinic and Fayette Dental Clinic. Dr. Shah lives in Peachtree city with his wife and two children. In his free time, he likes to spend time in the outdoors, playing and watching the game of cricket, hiking the trails of beautiful mountains across the country and particularly enjoys Silver Comet Trail. He likes to travel and he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters.

I had a root canal 5/12/22. I was ready to cancel because I was terrified. My last experience with another Endo was traumatic, but Dr. Wheeler was AMAZING! His assistant was so kind and sweet. She has a beautiful voice at least I think she does because she hummed almost every song that came on and it was so comforting. My anxiety was through the roof when I arrived, but they made me feel so comfortable and safe. Dr. Wheeler didn't minimize my fear and he talked me through everything.... very patiently. I have managed many Healthcare practices and I haven't seen one as smoothly ran from the front check-in to the back office in a really long time. Clean office, great staff, AMAZING doctor!!

Dr. Wheeler is an absolute gem and I'm very happy he did my root canal work. He is kind, gentle, and caring. He always checks in after the procedure to see how things are healing. And the staff is always just as personable and lovely. If you need endodontic work I'd highly recommend visiting this 5 star team in Fayetteville.

I went to three dentists before landing at Endodontic Associates of Atlanta. I was referred by Walmart dental. Booking was easy. I was running a bit late and they called to check on me. I arrived signed paperwork digitally, swished my mouth with mouthwash and peroxide, and they got started. I was in and out within an hour. Dr. Ben Wheeler actually did my root canal. He was kind, informative, and great energy. This was my first root canal. I highly recommend this office. The staff was great as well.

I was beyond impressed with the professionalism, kindness, and overall ease of this experience! The office staff were incredible with getting me in quickly. They were also very warm and welcoming. Dr. Wheeler had the most amazing bedside manner. He truly put me at ease, and was incredibly gentle during the whole process. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Wheeler to anyone, especially those who are terrified of dental work-like I am.

Dr. Shah is a lifesaver. I am a college student who lives in Peachtree City, but I was at college in Indiana this last semester. I began to have unbearable tooth and pain and had to get an emergency root canal. Dr. Shah had been helping me through the week and decided I needed the root canal. He started helping me from around 5:30 AM by coordinating the emergency root canal on his day off and seeing when I could fly in. I landed at 11:00 and by 12:30, he was helping me in his office. He was leaving for a vacation early the next morning, but took multiple hours out of his day off to help me while I was in pain. Dr. Shah went above and beyond any expectations and quite literally did everything he could to help me, a patient, including coming into his clinic on an off day just to perform an emergency procedure. He understood the severity of my situation and did not delay even a few hours. He helped coordinate my flight and arranging the fastest possible help for me. I will not forget how helpful Dr. Shah was to me when I was in need of help. He made sure to take his time and walked through every small thing he was doing to allow me to feel safe and understand what was being done to my tooth. He is a wonderful endodontist who really makes sure his patients are comfortable with his procedures.

Dr. Shah is amazing, and all his staff are so nice! I went to see Dr. Shah due to a dental emergency. I was in so much pain. He and his team were very compassionate and saw me the same day. He fixed my tooth which alleviated the pain. I've never been more thankful for a root canal! I truly appreciate Dr. Shah and his team and recommend his practice to anyone.

After going to my dentist, in the worst pain ever, I was told I needed 2 root canals. Dr. Shah's office worked with me trying to get me the soonest appt. They were able to get me in quickly and I couldn't have been more pleased with Dr. Shah. I never felt anything during the procedure. I was sore for a few days, but WOW, he's an exceptional Endodontist. I could not recommend him more!

Dr. Wheeler and the entire staff from reception to the chair was phenomenal! This was my first root canal and I was SO nervous. Dr. Wheeler and his assistant were patient with me and put me at total ease. The music played was soothing and made me feel relaxed. Dr. Wheeler explained every step of the procedure and was super gentile. If I need these services again I will definitely use this office. And I will highly recommend them to everyone!!

Very friendly and efficient place , I have had 2 root canals and Dr Wheeler and all of the staff are totally awesome ! Honestly they are root canals , but honestly I was very surprised at how painless it actually was ! I'm not gonna say totally painless , but not bad at all , I was expecting much worse ! Had a root canal performed back in Jan and I'm still in pain. Went back several times and I felt like Dr. Shah just didn't want to deal with me. Drove over a hour and he only spent about 10 minutes with me both times and told me he couldn't do anything else for me, then dismissed me from his services. When he did the root canal I felt like he rushed in, did the procedure without listing to my complaints because I was his last patient of the day. My dentist won't put a permanent filling in as of today because I'm still in pain.

Amazing Doctor. Highly recommend him. My wife got a root canal. Dr. Shah was very detailed in examination and explaining everything. The procedure was done very cleanly, pain free and to perfection. Highly recommend him for any of your dental needs. Plus, he is a true gentleman and highly knowledgeable.
